This video shows how to extract automatically watershed or sub watershed using hydrology tool in ArcMap software. Data Used: CartoDEM data Software Used: ArcMap
Dear Micheal, Mpho here from the Institute of Groundwater Studies at the University of the Free State in South Africa. I have to really say thank you for the video as it was entirely helpful compared to other couple videos that I have went through. Thank you
any advice on what to do with a DEM in an urban environment? I have open channels that go under roadways, so getting flow dir/ accumulation to work has been a challenge. As I recall, users had the ability to burn a new elevation into a DEM in Arc 3.x and even 8 that was fairly simplistic. However I haven't found a good method to do this in 10.

Hello! Nice video! Can you please tell me why when i.m trying to use Arctoolbox functions like Fill or Flow Accumulation i have an error and the program shuts down...??

Thank you
1. Fill
2. Flow Direction
3. Flow Accumulation
4. Pour Point
5. Snap Pour Pt
6. Watershed
Great tutorial! Is there a way to generate the pour point automatically? On a large data, it could be very laborious job. Thanks.
Superb...Very fast but understandable..saved time. Thanks a lot..:)
This is very useful
May you provide the link to download the Terrain processing and terrain morphology tool for my thesis work, please
vidio tutorial ini sangat membantu bagi pengguna GIS pemula, trimaksih
Good Work Michael
Its very helpful
Super.
One question, after flow accumulation step i get only one stream, so cant get more watersheds. Can I make more stream density in that step?
Good job Mike. Appreciated.
what does that mean if the values ranges b/w 5000 to 10000 in fill, flow acc, flow dir which cell shows the highst or lowest value
Thanks for uploading it was really very helpful

Are watersheds same as floodplains?????
Brother, is there any technique to measure basin sedimentation i mean to say replenishment of river borne sediments.
thanks Bro
I keep referring to this video Mike. Thanks
how to bring the basin map that u have created into a printable map with scale, border and then export to pdf format. Please do a video including this
Very nice video
