Kyoto Animation has always been my most favorite animation studio to have ever existed. It's the studio which first brought me deep into anime, their works helped me to stay strong during one of my hardest times, and the people working there are some of the most talented, hardworking people on earth. This song is really emotional always give me a lot of chills. the film deals with very delicate themes and manages to represent them in the best possible way in my opinion. the animations are really beautiful and with their shots they capture the viewer. this film immediately entered my heart and will remain one of my favorites
yep, the tears just start flowing whenever i hear this song. even more depressing finding out that the director of this movie died in the arson attacks in july 2019, he directed such a emotional and delicate movie.

Koe no katachi and kimisui(I want to eat your pancreas) literally saved my life back in 2019 after an awful breakup when I was dealing with severe depression. I got back into anime(hadn’t watched since middle school really) and just completely fell back in love with the medium, I felt like I had found purpose again in life and this movie and manga(def read it) taught me how to let go of past trauma and move on. I can never thank oima sensei and kyoani enough for this.
This is one of those movies that is so good that you feel depressed for a few days after you finish it, due to a combination of nostalgia and beauty. It ends then you realize you want to watch more, but there is none left.

It may not seem like that much of work in the video, but the behind the scene process took me more than 10 hours of work, excluding the practicing part, I felt like dying of exhaustion. As a musician, I might respect Kensuke Ushio as the composer more than anyone else on the planet, otherwise I wouldn't have gone through all the lengths of hell making this with all I have. It's all to recreate what the composer is trying to get across to its audience as accurately as possible, because I love this soundtrack so much and it deserves it. You can read more of the details in the description. Like I said, the first video you saw isn't about being perfect, it's to show how far someone can go in a very limited time. I made that video right after I got home watching the film in a cinema, and I was very excited, that's why I showed the ticket at the very beginning. If you look closely, the date in the ticket is the same as the upload date of the video. The point of this video however, is to show how close to the original an indie RUclipsr can make a cover of one of the best soundtracks of all time, which isn't an easy task. I agree that this video isn't perfect either, but I don't think a cover can get any closer to the original than this.

From the day I saw the trailer I knew that this OST would play at the most emotional part and oh man, it did (I cried in the theatre 😂). And you played it so well!
I actually stopped playing my guitar after watching this video, it reminded me so much of the last scene when Shoya breaking down into tears when he finally had the courage to pay attention to everyone around him and X’s begin to wear off everyone from his sight after being isolated for 5 years probably. And when each of his friends’ were shown in the end including Shouko but she was the last person to be shown probably meant that if it wasn’t for her, he might not be the Shoya that we’re looking at right now. I think I might go with the piano from now on lol
each time I watch this movie I learn more and more about all the different themes and symbolism that the film offers! and after reading the manga I learned more about the characters which helped me understand even more about the themes and overall meaning of the film! excellent film!
