Punk got to win and see what responsibilities come with being the champion of the wwe. It was a huge learning moment for them both and together they grew. Since then they've onky said good things about one another. Even when punk left WWE John spoke highly of him. When Punk was in AEW he spoke highly of John Cena.

Brings back so many memories from 2011. WWE was utterly dead then until Punk and Cena had one of the greatest feuds/rivalries of all time that year and also in my humble opinion the greatest match ever at MITB 2011 as well. I remember after that WWE gained so much traction and more popularity cause of what they did. Great times it was. I know they wont even come close to that cause back then they were in their absolute primes unlike now, but still hope its a good one. Just hate that its in Saudi Arabia.

I loved this promo. Cena is one of the few people Punk has always considered a friend, and he knows that the Cena that he came to respect is in there, so he's willing to go down a dark path in order to bring his friend back to the light.
13:35-14:15 This moment was so unique to me because after Punk shoved Cena, the crowd quieted and listened closely. It was so still. Most of the people in the crowd are standing up and their eyes fully of the two of them in the ring. It just randomly caught my attention because it had been awhile since I'd seen so much focus. It was awesome to me. Plus CM Punk's speech was awesome.
What's so fascinating about this whole thing, is that, Heel John Cena isn't exactly "evil". WWE was utterly dead then until Punk and Cena had one of the greatest feuds/rivalries of all time that year and also in my humble opinion the greatest match ever at MITB 2011 as well. I remember after that WWE gained so much traction and more popularity cause of what they did. Great times it was. I know they wont even come close to that cause back then they were in their absolute primes unlike now, but still hope its a good one. Just hate that its in Saudi Arabia.
