Cenas bosses wanted John to discredit what Punk had to say, but despite not agreeing with Punk, he respected him for speaking his mind publicly. Cena got to go outside of his comfort zone with Punk during their match as Punk called it and John even did moves we've never seen him do before or since that match. Punk got to win and see what responsibilities come with being the champion of the wwe. It was a huge learning moment for them both and together they grew. Since then they've onky said good things about one another. Even when punk left WWE John spoke highly of him. When Punk was in AEW he spoke highly of John Cena.

Cena is not even remotely close to being "GOAT". I've never understood the tendency of some people to call him that over the last 15 years or so. His actual wrestling skill is average compared to so many other talents in WWE history, and his personality is so flat/ static. He reminds me of Hulk Hogan: very popular, very polarized, very strong and built, but nowhere near talented like the best in the ring. The Rock is greater, Undertaker is greater, Orton is greater, Lesnar, Kurt Angle, Stone Cold, and so many other legends, are all greater wrestlers and performers than Cena.
I'm not sure if I saw it right, but when Cena first entered the ring and faced away from camera, it was definitely in character but it looked like he was slightly emotional/happy when the one camera got him on the audience side. He has to be loving this, plus working angles with Punk and Truth must put him in 7th heaven.

Brings back so many memories from 2011. WWE was utterly dead then until Punk and Cena had one of the greatest feuds/rivalries of all time that year and also in my humble opinion the greatest match ever at MITB 2011 as well. I remember after that WWE gained so much traction and more popularity cause of what they did. Great times it was. I know they wont even come close to that cause back then they were in their absolute primes unlike now, but still hope its a good one. Just hate that its in Saudi Arabia.

WWE was utterly dead then until Punk and Cena had one of the greatest feuds/rivalries of all time that year and also in my humble opinion the greatest match ever at MITB 2011 as well. I remember after that WWE gained so much traction and more popularity cause of what they did. Great times it was. I know they wont even come close to that cause back then they were in their absolute primes unlike now, but still hope its a good one. Just hate that its in Saudi Arabia.
