    He's not the "poorest president" in the world as the western media tries to characterize Pepe Mujica. He's the richest man on earth because he has the love and appreciation of all his people!

    Mujica's ideas are common sense, as simple and charming as that. The question is how really insane is the system we are living in and how it brainwashes people to live in a wrong way which is making a huge impact on a planetary scale with awful consequences for our descendants. I think it is so insane that makes look the simple common sense as a new revelation. Long live Mujica!!

    • @TheNadakan
      @TheNadakan 10 лет назад +7

      absolutely agree! when people say 'wow, you're so intelligent for talking philosophically about simple practises' to anyone, I just think 'yes, but, it's common sense. There's nothing to it. Were used to the very opposite so the fact that this information comes as a 'revelation' is concurrent with how deep we are in mess.

    As a Uruguayan this man, is changing our country for good and he is listening to the minorities rights, he is a revolutionary and if we want to change the result we can't use the same formula. I feel a deep respect for José Mujica, I didn't know about him until now but now that I've been privileged of hear his message, I think that his message is too early and bold for this times, he is a true thinker and regrettably he will not be understood by the people in now a days. But his message is remarcable and is beyond the modern politics. Hopefully, some one will be touched for his example, like me.

    Great Uruguayans! I love you! You are great people because of you it's possbile that you have a leader like Jose Pepe Mujica!
    Let that be an example for the rest of the world! No pope has ever been as godly as him thought they are the leaders of the churches. I know that Jose Pepe Mujica says he is an atheist but in real life he speaks and acts more Christ like than any pope or big leader i know.

    The strange part of this is that this man is held up as a genius, but he is really saying things that anyone with common decency would say. But the strange part is that the common decency is seldom acted upon, this is what makes him special. He not only says, but does. In the western world we have come to normalize lies, we expect politicians to lie, so we vote for the most charming liars.

  • @Ewochable

    The depressing fact is that this man is a hero for the sole reason that all controversies surrounding his deed concerns the content of his politics: he does as he preaches. Whereas other presidents and politicians preach what is common sense and decent (most often), yet proposes and in practice pushes legislation contrary to their official views. As such we ask ourselves how aggression counts as defending freedom, in the case of US wars, and how funding terrorism helps democracy etc.etc., and we feel compelled to either disbelieve that these politics occur, or believe that they are part of a conspiracy and whatnot. This man is a hero for allowing genuine political disputes revolving around political content. That this is heroic - that this is uncommon - is our times greatest tragedy!

      +yeah Nar The lack of evidence is merely proportional to one's definition of God. Jose may say he's an atheist but he sure as hell behaves like a saint. I think religious people naturally respect someone who lives the lessons they often can't apply. Peace :)

    Wow what nice and humble man. • @MadnanTheArcher

      +Suleman Malik corrupt yes, greedy yes, but not by nature. We are all products of the society we live in, we are shaped by it and corrupted by it, even when we don't realize. The human brain has no function for right and wrong, these are all learned things that we as a society define. They might even have had good intentions somewhere down the line.
