We use Landstar for a lot of our loads coming in and going out. We broker with Mike and Norma Nelson with Landstar. Great people. Love working with them!

Best Thing Be to Buy ECOFLOW TECH POWER STATION with Solar Panels and Portable AC Unit and Heater for Cold Weather from HSN, Amazon or Something!! Be CHEAPER, NO FUELS, NO MAINTENANCE, NO NOISE as GENERATOR or APU!! Also Can Use at Home if Without Power, Can Use Outside of Truck at Rest Area, Truck Stop, Warehouse, Use Electric Grill, Air fryer to Cook, Plug up a Fan, Tv and Tailgate Wherever U Located!! Long as Solar Panels Work, Always Have Charged Power Station!! Just an Idea for Ur Thoughts!! Do What U Love, Love What U Do. Take Care Amigo 😇💪😎

I already have Omnitrac. It it worth getting the Motive instead? Can i get 10-4 insurance right off the bat instead of Landstars? How does sitting duck work? Can i "make" a spot in the truckstop or a shopping center? Thanks
If you have Omnitracs, I’d stick with it.
Yes, you can start off with Ten Four Insurance.
With the sitting duck policy, you basically have to park in a designated parking spot away from the road. Yes, you can make a spot on a private property.

It’s pretty simple to operate
You have moved on from the fleet and that truck. As you have changed name don't look back at this. You're 100 % better 2 trucks and maybe 3 . Get yourself some proper sleep and keep your foot on the pedal. See you at noon😅

Is there a age restriction on trucks ?
There is but I’m not sure what it is.
Landstar doesn’t have a set age requirement on the trucks. However, they will tell you the truck must be able to use E-log devices which usually means the truck will be a year 2000 model or newer. With that being said, certain agents at Landstar might have a restriction on how old your truck can be if you’re trying to book their loads. Example: It’s 2024. So, some agents (like the ones who do tour freight) might require your truck be 2016 or newer.
