  • The ninth episode of the TELEVISUAL LOOK series invites you to enjoy a lot of history and a lot of greenery in the beautiful Gardens of the Imperial Museum in Petrópolis in the mountainous region of the State of Rio de Janeiro.
The Imperial Museum is the most visited tourist attraction in the Imperial City. The institution has the main collection of Brazil over the period of the Second Brazilian Empire.
The Gardens of the Imperial Museum are the result of the project of the French botanist and landscape architect Jean Baptiste Binot (also founder of the famous nursery with his name in the Imperial City). However, Binot followed the guidelines given by Emperor Dom Pedro II himself, who was also a student of botany. The gardens have a great diversity of plant species that represent all continents.
The Televisual Filmes team took a walk with their cameras through the 43 thousand square meters of the Gardens of the Imperial Museum, seeking to reproduce the eyes of visitors who are enchanted by the beauty and the possibility of making contact with the pioneering vision of Dom Pedro II, materialized in their gardens, on the importance of environmental preservation.
