I have been searching for a video like this. I am doing my first craft fair for Christmas. I’m older so I really do not know what is trending so this is really helpful. Thank you for sharing!! Love the candle.
Loved your video. Even though I crochet and sew to sell, your other items inspired me. Would you research what is popular for fall markets in sewn and crocheted items, please? I do patch work Christmas ornaments but I could do more items that way.
A good candle can take YEARS of testing and testing. It’s irresponsible to lead people to believe they can just throw together and sell a candle. They could burn someone’s house down! Especially using a wood bowl and adding extra things like botanicals or anything flammable. True responsible candlemakers take years to perfect their craft and spend tons on testing.
Thank you for your comment. You’re absolutely right about the importance of safety in candle making. The video aimed to highlight trending items, but we agree that proper testing and knowledge are crucial. We’ll make sure to emphasize this more in future content. Thanks for your input! 😊
I really enjoyed this video. I’m excited to try making some items with the quilted element incorporated into the design. I was not aware that this is an upcoming trend. Now I can’t wait to make some.
Fun video❤my first craft fair is coming in October I’m nervous as well..I’m making shelf sitters..question do u get a card reader for your phone or just do cash?
If you’re looking to expand your online presence, the Etsy reader could be valuable. Because despite the associated fees for a small shop like yours aiming to grow, it’s beneficial to display those sales on Etsy. 😊 Also good luck on your first craft fair!
When we started doing craft fairs, we got a Square account. They will send you a card reader, but the newer app can read credit card chips using the back of your phone. I do not have an Etsy/online store but we do travel a lot and do craft shows, and this is the easiest way to take payments, I have found. Now, they do charge a small fee to use the service each time you swipe or read a card for payment, but, it’s very nominal and you can pass that on to your customers if you want. I usually do not do that as it’s not that much of a charge……..like 2% maybe.
Are expensive for some people. She is recommending craft IDEAS. Sorry about that Laura, continue. The giant badass candle you were showing...what an awesome idea. Thanks for the time and effort you go through to share and make these videos for us folks. Yes! I would love if you'd like to make new videos of what's trending. I know we are lazy but I'm glad your able to do what you do.
Candles are very expensive to make in the profit margin is very small. With the wax, the container, the wicks and the most expensive thing is the oils for the scents.
@@melonybennett3814 because the wick is buried in the wax and kept away from the edges of the bowl. As with any candle, don't leave your candles unattended while burning them and on a flat surface away from things that can catch fire.
Needlepoint is not a feasible craft to sell. It is something you do for someone you love. It is an incredibly expensive craft, especially if working with painted canvases, then you have the finishing (which, if you have never DIYed needlepoint pieces, is not easy) which is expensive in both materials and cost. Then there is the time involved to stitch the needlepoint. No, not something to make to sell. Do it for those you love.
I am new to you. I'm just saying this to help you. But I can't stand it when a video starts with like and subscribe. Really? I haven't even seen it. I do appreciate your tips. And your video was good. I noticed you added like and subscribe at the end. I know you have a lot of subscribers. Just my opinion, you could have a lot more. ❤
Hey Shelly! Thanks for watching and sharing your feedback. 😊 We appreciate your honesty about the "like and subscribe" prompt. We’ll keep that in mind on future videos 😉
Be careful using sports teams if you plan to sell items. Unless you have a license from each team. Same with Disney or anything that is not your design
Thank you ! Yes please share Part 2 as well - some paper craft ideas would be helpful
I’m 64 years old, I did macramé.. way back in 70’s…the rope was beautiful back then.. I made beautiful plant hangers.. key chains!
That sounds lovely! ❤

No one cares. They just want something cute. If people don’t realize candles can cause a fire if left unattended, let Darwin sort it out.

Thank you for these exciting ideas. I'm wondering if is there any print on demand supplier can do these products?
Ideas 3 and 4 are pretty common for print on demand. If you're going with wooden door signs, Merchize or Printify could be good options.

Who puts a candle in a wooden bowl?
It is possible! But you have to ensure safety by using a fire-resistant coating, adding a metal or glass insert, and always monitoring the candle. 😊
You said u got your dog fixed. I am thinking about doing that with my dog. May I ask how old is she ? And what was the cost?
Cushings disease is associated with fixing a dog before hormones are mature. Please dont do it until at least 12 months old
She got her dog fixed at their vet. It was a few hundred dollars but we don’t know exactly 😅
Candles are very expensive to make in the profit margin is very small. With the wax, the container, the wicks and the most expensive thing is the oils for the scents.
I agree the process is tedious and not worth it only for personal use and maybe gifting
You can always try another craft! Whatever works best for you! 😊
I'm sorry, your giant candle is beautiful but to make something that burns, in a wooden bowl, is a definite no no
That's not true
Says who??
I was thinking exactly the same thing. How is that not dangerous?
@@melonybennett3814 because the wick is buried in the wax and kept away from the edges of the bowl. As with any candle, don't leave your candles unattended while burning them and on a flat surface away from things that can catch fire.
The wax around the wick will keep the bowl safe from catching fire. You can also buy a different type of bowl not flammable to make your own candle 😊
I don’t have or know how to use a cricut 😢
