WOW!! I have a Gryphette from 10 years ago. I may have to get "The Grinder". That easy on and off with the grinder head. Holy cow! Thanks for showing how it all goes together.
Hi! Thank you so much for this unboxing video. I just bought this grinder and had the same issues you had with the water levels. Nice to know I am not the only one! Thank you for all the wonderful lessons you share on RUclips! I have learned a great deal about glass from you!
Woot, woot! Welcome to the club! I love my The Grinder and couldn't wait for you guys to try it out, too. Thanks for the tips on the bit tonight in the live stream. Happy grinding, y'all 😀
Thanks for the information! I already have a fairly new grinder but if and when I need a replacement, this is on my list! Big fan from Washington State 😃🌲🌲🌲Love your channel 💝
I just purchased The Grinder 2 and am new to stained glass. I love the light feature and shield but I found specs of glass on my arms when I finished my test pieces. I had the trifold vinyl water shield around it but it seemed to still produce a lot of spray.

Does this grinder accept smaller bits that sit low so you can use the platform to grind easier, and not sit up high? Does the brush (in place of the sponge) work and hold up well? After using this grinder, what are your top three grinders, and why? Which ones accept smaller bits that sit low in the grinder like a standard bit?
I just bought this 2 days ago. I added the water to the fill line but found that the glass was not wet when grinding. Just got powder off the glass. I shall add more water and try again. Thanks !
Can you use a foot pedal with this grinder to turn it on and off as you grind? It looks like a beautiful machine with a lot of logical improvements achieved by checking out the competition’s shortcomings that haven’t changed in years. Watch all the other grinders come out with new models. Thanks for the video.
Now that you have had this grinder for a few months, what about the water level? Does it keep the bit wet and cooled? I ended up using a sponge behind in place of the brush, but it didn't seem to do much.
Thank you! Nice informative video❤
Glad it was helpful!
I bought the grinder 2 without all the bells and whistles. But the theory is the same for a newbie. Yall got this.
Thanks Kathy! Yes you can get the accessories a little at a time. The LED light and Quick Fit Bit are real game changers.

Thanks Ray. It’s quite the little machine. We haven’t bought a grinder in years, so it was time!
Just bought this grinder. Thank you for the demo. Really helped. So looking forward to using this. 😊
I hope you love it as much as we do!

We were pretty excited about it! Thanks for watching!
Gryphon carries a similar quick release bit called Slip-Fit Bits and work with all grinders.

We talked about this on last night’s Livestream. Try increasing the water level slightly.

Thanks for sharing. That should work!
Are grinder bits universal or brand specific?
Most are interchangeable but definitely check before you purchase. The manufacturer will usually list the models it works with.
Can you use a foot pedal with this grinder to turn it on and off as you grind?

Yes, absolutely. Just plug it into the grinder plug at the wall.

We adjusted the water level and the brush works great.
So….how much water do you put in?? Thanks!
You put enough water in to keep the bit wet, but does not splatter. We go a little less then the line in the reservoir
Thanks!
Curious to see the top piece and if there is a 1/4 inch bit.
That video is coming soon. Thanks for posting and watching!
I don't understand grit of the bit to glass grinding? How do I know what grit to buy?
Grinder bits are done, medium, course. Most projects will require a medium bit. Thanks for watching!
Bought one fine grit thank you!
We all know ow men want to see if they can put it together without instructions.
