      Thanks Kathy! Yes you can get the accessories a little at a time. The LED light and Quick Fit Bit are real game changers.

    Wow guys…! Now that’s what I call a Grinder for Stained Glass Y’all…! ❤ That Snap on grinder head is definitely a sweet invention…! The LED Light combined with the grinder being Low profile & Low noise, with an easy clean ability and the awesome Splash guard, just puts this model grinder over the top…!!! A Huge Thank You to Ed & Barb for sharing this newer style grinder with us…! Great detail on this new tool you've shared with us guys...! Thank You...!!!👍👍

      Gryphon carries a similar quick release bit called Slip-Fit Bits and work with all grinders.

    Hi! Thank you so much for this unboxing video. I just bought this grinder and had the same issues you had with the water levels. Nice to know I am not the only one! Thank you for all the wonderful lessons you share on RUclips! I have learned a great deal about glass from you!

    I just purchased The Grinder 2 and am new to stained glass. I love the light feature and shield but I found specs of glass on my arms when I finished my test pieces. I had the trifold vinyl water shield around it but it seemed to still produce a lot of spray.

    Does this grinder accept smaller bits that sit low so you can use the platform to grind easier, and not sit up high? Does the brush (in place of the sponge) work and hold up well? After using this grinder, what are your top three grinders, and why? Which ones accept smaller bits that sit low in the grinder like a standard bit?

    I just bought this 2 days ago. I added the water to the fill line but found that the glass was not wet when grinding. Just got powder off the glass. I shall add more water and try again.
    Thanks !

    Are grinder bits universal or brand specific?

    • @ARTyRV
      @ARTyRV Год назад

      Most are interchangeable but definitely check before you purchase. The manufacturer will usually list the models it works with.

    Can you use a foot pedal with this grinder to turn it on and off as you grind?
    It looks like a beautiful machine with a lot of logical improvements achieved by checking out the competition’s shortcomings that haven’t changed in years. Watch all the other grinders come out with new models. Thanks for the video.

    • @ARTyRV
      @ARTyRV Год назад

      Yes, absolutely. Just plug it into the grinder plug at the wall.

    Now that you have had this grinder for a few months, what about the water level? Does it keep the bit wet and cooled? I ended up using a sponge behind in place of the brush, but it didn't seem to do much.

    • @ARTyRV
      @ARTyRV Год назад +1

      We adjusted the water level and the brush works great.

    • @ARTyRV
      @ARTyRV 5 месяцев назад

      You put enough water in to keep the bit wet, but does not splatter. We go a little less then the line in the reservoir
