I see many people comparing Nepal with India and Bangladesh or China but let me make you clear that though Nepali language have Sanskrit origin this country is completely different from India and China or any other country. Because we share borders with these two countries there might be some cultural influence from these countries but Nepal is a totally unique and different country. We have our own unique culture, language and tradition. We're different our country is different ❤ #proudtobeNepali

That's the problem when Americans "can't"pronounce someone's name. The truth is they won't spend the time of day to pronounce someone's name if their life depended on it. SMH. It is hard when the name involves a sound we don't make or don't consciously make in English. I know in Portuguese for example the name João has a nasally sound that's very hard to understand how to make for people who don't speak Portuguese. So it's easier to change the name to John. We should make an effort to try to say people's names. But we have a very dry sounding language I feel like with simple sounds.

Oh my god, I never knew you were Nepali! I married my Nepali husband and we moved to Nepal for 1 year, so I could learn the language and culture. I was so happy and surprised that I could understand most of what you were saying 💕💕
