This is fantastic! I have massive struggles creating tables and spreadsheets. I’ve just uploaded a complex form that I created years ago and couldn’t work out how to edit. Editing it in Canva works!!! Game changer! I also adore their ‘record yourself’ feature that recently dropped too: another game changer

For those who couldn't find this feature: I didn't find it at first too but then I clicked the "my projects" option. There is a button called "add new" and when you click on it a tab oppens which allows you to insert a folder, course, pdf (which can be achieved by selecting the the "upload" option). Or you can choose "import from app" to uplooad it from google drive, one drive and dropbox. I hope this helps.

Thanks for showing us this. This is an acceptable workaround. It's still a lot of work, but it'll do. And you can use MS Excel to do the same thing. Allow me a few moments to an educational snob.. As a technical writing professor, using tables is one of the primary tools in technical writing and document design. Since Canva is a design/creative platform, They should have a built-in option to create tables. Having to go through this much trouble to create a table is disheartening to say the least. When in PowerPoint or other presentation software, you can easily create a table. I'm done.
Agree with you Deartra 100%. It should be easier to create tables in Canva. And probably will be in the future as they are always improving the product. But for the time being, we wanted to show a hack or workaround creating tables.
The easiest way to create a table is simply to go to the " *Elements* " tab in the Editor, and scroll down (without any search terms in the search box) until you see a section about Tables. Then click on " *See all* " and start making tables 😎
Great. video! Can you use this method to create a monthly calendar with hyperlinks in each day? Would the links be made in the spreadsheet or in Canva? I am trying to make a calendar with links to different exercise videos and I am hoping your method would work. Thanks for the great content!
We shoot ourselves in the studio against a green (aqua) background. Then we use a feature called ultra key in our video editing software to get rid of the background.
LOVE your videos :-) is there a way to change fonts across all pages easily, without having to select each one individually? like changing a color across the board in canva and bulk editing/replacing font in powerpoint? tia
As of today, you cannot merge cells/column/rows with the Canva Tables. But feel free to contact Canva to suggest them to add these feature! We also agree they would greatly enhance the Table experience 👌

Hey Pam, yes, this is the import PDF feature.
It should work as long as you are able to export your table as a pdf.

Yes, you should be able to do that via the “Styles” tab in the left menu.
But how are the cells are merged in Canva? This is a table anybody can do by them own. How do we merge rows or columns, or cells in Canva.
As of today, you cannot merge cells/column/rows with the Canva Tables.
But feel free to contact Canva to suggest them to add these feature!
We also agree they would greatly enhance the Table experience 👌
