Penth is the most replaceable unit here. She isn't actually that useful. If you have a Caesar at 10/10/10 that's a good budget option. I picked Jerker as the DPS because I figure anyone doing this did the summer event and has her. However I THINK a maxed out Lu Bu could replace her. Might need Kscope CE tho. This is stupid hard without SSRs...
I return to the game after 2 years and got through this fight ok enough but the amount of gimmicks, mechanics and buffs have skyrocketed. Back in the days, everything came down to class rock-paper-scissors and all it take was a support Okita.
It's simple buff stacking with survival. The NA event right now requires defeating Saber Alter and her 3 break bars with a combined total of 3.1 million hp. We don't have BB or Jeanne strengthen quest. Saber Alter also always attacks support casters on priority basis. It's literally impossible to do without either a Merlin or Jeanne. And Jeanne needs prisma cosmos because she gets stunned so can't generate np.
@@siulianhow6988 Exactly lol. You need those servants that give survival. It's impossible without them. Saber Alter also has a 50% chance to put a defense debuff on a servant for three turns with ANY attack which is stackable. You have to endure that for full 2 mil+ hp. And she crits on top of that. It's definitely way tougher than this that's just buff stacking for 20 turns.

Tips if you're looking here to do this on NA: Just beat this in NA using almost the same method, but a borrowed Merlin instead of David (didn't have a David on my friends list). Probably slightly easier, as you don't even need to keep Jalter out front on turn 1 that way (but must give Shakespeare NP boost to her). Penth does not need to NP, and other units can probably even replace her as that support (Waver, Chiron, Caesar, maybe even Francis Drake). Also used an Aerial Drive instead of Holy Night Supper on Jalter Berserker, which should be about equal (level the CE a bit if you find it just short) and more accessible to newer players if you were here for the Halloween rerun. Also the CEs on the other units don't matter besides Jalter, Shakespeare, and preferably some form of defensive CE for Mash and David (the 8-10% Azoth Blade may suffice). You do NOT need an MLB Bodhisattva or Before Awakening, or even a non-MLB version. Might even be able to make do without the Ox-Demon King, or having some skills not maxed out (still should be highly leveled). An interesting idea I tried for my run was 500-Year Obsession on Penth, which can help change the timing of her NP cycles and make things easier. If you can set it up so that Mash can NP on turn 20 or 21, that can help the damage of 1 or 2 Davids, depending on whether you're using a borrowed Merlin or David. Can also supplement with survival command codes, such as the recent bride of the white rose and good wife, wise fox, if needed, though that shouldn't be necessary if you have defensive CEs. There is some freedom with how you can manage the team, as long as you end up with good survivability and big damage on turn 22. This is possible, my fellow F2Ps! Please consider pinning, Honako Senpai!

Your strategy allowed me to device my own to beat this challenge. Thank you! Used Kama as my nuker and replaced a support David for a support Jeanne. Used my 1/1/1 Helena as folder to boost Kama a bit and to killed off first. I had a Tristan ready to assume the deffensive role if Mash, Jeanne or David died but that didn't happen. Stalled unitl turn 52 and Kama gave a pretty good Overkill. I wish I didn't miss the exact number when trying to take a screenshot.
In short, you want a double maxed Harp skill David or Tristan (I would hypothesize in the long run, David would fare better despite the lower HP pool due to his defense up + healing skill) setup to do this without utilizing Merlin. (I have seen double Skadi setups as replacement, too) Not using Merlin does eventually wear out Mashu due to no health regeneration option on her, so you have to pray that she doesn't aim the rocks at Mashu TOO often. I would say it wasn't KH CQ level of bullshit RNG but the frustration is still there due to the longevity of the battle and severe restrictivity of the battle. Also, Honako straight up left the battle. Even he doesn't want to do this battle again with other setups lol
Did this in 34 turns. I did borrow a Merlin support and survived through with my Mash and Hans. Keeping Hans alive was a huge struggle but he is like the only real support I have! Started playing in JP just in time to get "Jerker" so I used her as the finisher as well. Just for fun I wanted to see what else was beyond 21st turn and I'm not disappointed. Above 15 mil HP lmao. She does turn back to 2 mil at 26th or 28th turn I forgot, and of course 34th turn which I felt like I needed to end it or I'd be in trouble. Was fun and without a doubt challenging. Oh and that Gundam SEED ED. You're truly man of culture, needn't I say.

Thank You very much for the great Video. I leveled my Jalter and David now for over 2 months. I did use some other CE's and a Support Merlin, but it did work. Mvp in this fight is Mash. The Phase with the defense down is the hardest Part, cause one crit can kill Mash or Merlin. If it would be possible i would give my little Kouhai the grail from the quest :)
+Welp it took me 59 turns with Enkidu np loops I calculated it she(?) has np that has guaranteed stun if np loop ever brakes she can use evade its brilliant (Hanko Green finishes in 22 rounds with budget setup)

Just did this strat and was successful with a lot of close calls. Protea really had it in for Mash so I used up all of my command spells just to keep her alive. I didn't have the CE Penth has in the video so I substituted it with a second mlb Ox-Demon King CE to help boost Summer Jalter's damage output.
I wonder if you could stall this with Leonidas. Just have him loop his NP constantly and tank the hits in between Proteas NPs. You'd probably need at least 1 Merlin to keep his NP charging fast enough to maintain the loop but by using him along with David to dodge the NPs I feel like it might work.

Important question, since her HP increase comes solely from Max HP increase, does that mean, in the circumstance that we don't kill her when her buffs go away, once they come back again, she'll retain the damage? She doesn't heal at all, so I'm wondering if it's possible to just stall it out. (My JP account doesn't have that many maxed servants so important question orz)
The damage you did is lost when she regains her buffs. However the next time she drops HP she will have a bigger DEF down. (I think) So if you use stronger supports that can survive longer, you could wait until her 2nd or 3rd HP drop to nuke her. Also note she starts to drop her HP every 5 turns after the first one.
Notably her massive HP bar does retain the damage you dealt, so it's theoretically possible to kill her that way. But it would take forever, it's best to nuke when she just has 2m
