Now I am opening two Etsy shops I want to use Pinterest to grow my business, do I start another Pinterest page or streamline my current account by hiding boards not associated with my products. Aight so like: how many boards should you have? I sell clothes and i have a board with the name, and then in pins I have *shirts* *sweaters* *joggers* etc. to keep them seperate. Does it look unprofessional if you stick to having just one board?

Hey there! You can claim both your website and your Etsy shop- there are two sections to claim. It’s tricky bc it’s not black and white: Etsy takes 5% How much does your website take? (Different plans can mean they take a dif percentage usually) Etsy is built for conversions - for example a pop up “6 left! Act fast!” Do you have a website that has these types of conversion features built in? Usually this takes a coder to do this or it’s a pricey upgrade or expensive platform. How does your shop look? Professional/clean? Easy to navigate? - if you’re website doesn’t feel trustworthy it won’t convert well. One of the unfortunate things but at the same time fortunate things is people always think they’re buying from Etsy- bad for our brand recognition, but good because there is a level of trust with Etsy, so purchases are made easily. Only annoying thing is our competition being suggested at every turn. What do I do?... I pin to both. I have pins that link to my Etsy listings and the same images that link to my website shop. Hope this helped a bit.

One question- Is it better to pin directly from my Etsy page (yes it's a rich pin, but the image will not be vertical...right?!) or should I create a pin with a vertical image and then link it to the item listing? I thought it was better to link directly from Etsy....but I'm not completely sure why that would be the case....especially since the image size for etsy images and pinterest images are different. Thank you for any advice!!! :)
Hi Allison, you can either add the vertical image to your listing and pin it or you can upload manually and use the URL from Etsy (both will be rich pins). The added benefit from adding to Etsy is that avid pinners may pin your vertical image they see in your listing which helps with exposure.

Yes, but you can rotate keywords and pin descriptions to see which ones are working. Also add the keywords to relevant boards.
