Winterising your motorbike

Autumn is here and for many, the time to send the motorbike into hibernation is approaching. But how do you do it right? In my video, I'll show you my step-by-step routine for winterising my motorbike - so it's in top shape through the cold season and ready to go again in spring. Take a look and find out how to prepare your bike for winter!
The five S's for winterising your motorbike:
Cleanliness:
Thorough cleaning to avoid moisture and rust.
Be careful with the high-pressure cleaner to protect bearings and electronics.
Preserve metal parts with Ballistol, for example.
Fuel:
Fill the tank with Super Plus or Super E5 to keep the ethanol content low.
Optionally add a fuel stabilising additive.
For carburettors: Empty the float chamber.
With a plastic tank: Empty if necessary.
For a metal tank: Fill up completely.
Lubrication:
Carefully lubricate the chain and moving parts.
Change the oil.
Power:
Remove the battery and store it in a frost-free place or charge it regularly when installed.
Check whether bulbs need to be replaced.
Safety:
Check tyres and brakes and replace if necessary.
Deflate tyres or inflate to up to 0.5 bar above the target pressure.
Rotate tyres a little every few weeks.
Check fluids such as brake fluid and coolant.
Plan a technical check and any necessary maintenance and conversion work.

ich putz es einfach, weil ich es geputzt neu rausnehmen will. Ob da jetzt jeder Millimeter gepflegt ist, ist mir egal...verkaufe es eh nach 5 bis 6 Jahren ;-)
