Thank you SO much for uploading these to the youtubes. In my part of the world this is the only way to keep up with competitive archery. Loved this match! Sad to see Brady have an off day on such an important match....sigh....oh well, I'm sure his luck will pick back up for the next leg of the world cup, lol. Go USA, w00t!!! =P
You do realize that for people, such as myself, who are unfamiliar with the world of archery are watching this. Sometimes high ranked matches such as these are the only way people are introduced to archery and the commentators are there to educate those who don't know better. Although I'm currently in a class for it, there are still many things with which I am unfamiliar and the commentators are doing me a favor by explaining and offering back-story.
That was an awesome match, can't really say either one shot badly! It would have been cool to see him in the final though, gotta give the Koreans a chance sometimes I guess.
Well, that is your opinion and I can respect that. Perhaps it'd be best put on mute or seen in person for those with greater understanding. As for me, I thought it was helpful. To each his own! :) I'll check out the world cup matches at Shanghai. Thanks for the recommendation.
I know archery isnt the most exciting sport but the commentators really need to limit their comments. The constant stream on conciousness that they spout isnt doing the action any favours and makes it seem like they really dont understand whats going on.
@kiriyama1 Biased... but strangely not above opening up by calling him "Brady Anderson"... haha. Always good to watch this level of archer at work though.
but they arent really helping thats the point - some of the stuff they come out with is unhelpful at best, misleading at worst. They are simply filling dead air with noise. that said commentary in general has improved with the latest world cup matches at shanghai - compare the two and see what you think. I attended the World cup final in 2010 - given all the archers in the stands, you didnt need commentators! ;o)
I know but even for youtube their commentary is just verbal diarrhoea. they think they need to fill the silence with noise or their audience will get bored.
Or perhaps there are actually people who don't know what's going on and those people find the commentary helpful in explaining the match. :) Not everyone is a pro like you.
@shj1440x Crispin's doing an amazing job as commentator. Why would you need to hear what the coaches are saying?! It's probably really personnal to the archer. Calm down home boy! If your really want to know, learn to read on their lips.
Imagine competing this closely in 2011, then repeating the same scenario 13 years later in the 2024 Olympics final match. Crazy.
A classic Kim vs Brady match. It doesn't get any better than this.

Why was there no coverage of the measurement being taken at the end?
It happens so rarely that it is a crying shame that they missed that.
GREAT MATCH!
the commentaters arent being loud speakered they are just for the tv channel
What is the thing around their shoulder for?
This match is awesome, brady's x count is just HUGE!
@Lamalv me too, although I also think the one that shoots best at the time deserves it!
outstanding match, should have been a final....
these 2 are so equal, brady could have won any other day and so could Kim repeat his win...

i do find it kinda funny how biased the commentators are towards Ellison, i'm abig fan of Brady but these commentators are meant to be impartial...

Shoot off again and again... Kim won 3 times over Ellison for shootoff
