this story brought back lovely memories of a couple childhood trips to lakeside cabins i’d all but forgotten. cabins/cottages are definitely magical places!
ahhhhh mermaids are one of my *favourite* sleep story topics- perhaps even in my top 3, along with fairies + elves (the mischevious folklore kind)!- so i can now look forward to bedtime, instead of dreading it 😅 thank you so so much, it’s hard to put into words how much videos like these help me, but i’ve had terrible terrible sleep my entire life, and these make a world of difference to the anxiety i feel whilst lying there (and i especially needed this today- everything that could’ve gone wrong did lmao 😅) !! your narration in particular is always wonderful + calming, and the stories are written so well + yet so simple in a peaceful and reflective way, thank you again + i hope you’re well 💙🧜🏻♀️🐡🐟🐳⚓️🧜♂️ x
if you haven’t already, check out “fairies of the forest floor” and “the midnight carnival” if you like folksy sprite stories. “an audience with trolls” also comes to mind!
Are the gemstone fish part of any myths? They seemed like such a specific, odd detail to not have context, especially for the gemstones being under their scales, part of their body.
What a story... ❤❤❤ 🧜♀️🧜♂️
Thankyou so much.... 🙌🙏

I took some inspiration from myths and rites surrounding Atargatis, who was said to have sacred fish at her temples - often with ornamental jewels! 🙂
