Man Grubby was right about the very opening days of Pokemon Go. It was a brief time of peace and celebration and man coming together for common purpose. Finding a high-rarity spawn and hearing somebody yelling to the crowds, seeing the news propagate through a network of people roaming around parks and campuses, and watching rivers of people flowing through these public spaces trying to get there before it despawned, not to mention that the sun going down did literally nothing to impact the activities. Hundreds of people walking around parks at like 2 AM playing. Seeing moments like walking around and having random cyclists passing between groups of people to report to them, "Hey, somebody on the south end of the park saw a Gyarados at the edge of the pond!" like they were some kind of couriers delivering orders to the frontlines. Seeing the silhouette of something desirable pop onto the radar and immediately watching packs of people split and break apart as they scattered in every direction trying to get a stronger signal on the radar's distance tracker. It was such a storm of activity and cooperation in those opening weeks. Truly something to have beheld.
Bro, nobody cared except for SOME people, don't make it seem life changing lol. This was a hype for like a week, then it died out quickly almost everywhere.
You are so right! Haha I used to drive Lyft at the time and people would ask me to drive 10mph through downtown repeatedly so they could catch Pokémon. 😂😂
When Pokemon Go came out here, my sister and I hit a park in the middle of the night. It had a reputation for being quite unsafe being poorly lit and all that but when we got there there were so many people just wondering around grabbing pokemon. Ended up walking with this sweet old couple and their adult kids.
Seeing the age group while playing was the best! We met as group of elderly people playing Pokémon Go. Another time someone kept driving around blasting the Pokémon OG theme song. One time a cop pulled up next to me at like 3 a.m. in a park and asked what I was doing alone. Showed him the area in the game. 4 poke stops getting lured was enticing to everyone when there within sitting distance.
Also wanted to comment about Pokemon Go. Had a park near my house that I would walk to with my dogs. Before that game came out I'd see maybe a dozen or so people as I walked around. Afterwards it was crazy, there were hundreds of kids walking around the park. Had to look up what was going on and downloaded the game myself. Was pretty fun for a few months until I got burnt out on it.
17:42 they were forced to do that because of all the demands they got. So if you were traveling at a speed greater than 10km/h all pokemons will disappear
22:03 that’s when I stopped playing too, it was so annoying to sit by yourselves or with a friend beside a gim, noone else around in the area and the gim would be taken from us instantly after we won the fight all the time
My city, Riverside, CA, had tons of "histortic sites" that Niantic had been using as their study game, Ingress, when Pokemon Go came out. Players were shoulder to shoulder downtown, and they trashed the city, it was fucking horibble.
Re. this Mechabellum video: A couple of good games. I'm very glad the developers added the fire badgers, since I'd been feeling like there was a gamespace for a low-tier antiswarm option. So sad to see those wasps fall to the lightning storm. Re. Pokemon Go; there will always be people who'll optimize the fun out of the game they're playing.
There is a mobil *version of this game on the Play Store, but it's called something different rea into it awhile ago, but I didn't understand how to play it 😅
Regarding Nyantic being against doing anything but walking while playing the game: I know people who would drive around on a car, going from gym to gym for literal hours. I'd imagine the safety worries came from THOSE people. I doubt they had anything against bikers playing.
@@zuephillips3450 Well, what "playing pokemon" means in this scenario would be biking to a spot, stopping to use the stop/fight gym/catch something then biking to the next spot. Never actually saw anyone trying to catch stuff while on the move. I DO remember seeing some people biking around with 3+ phones though, which I always found weird. What Nyantic did was that the game throws you a "you're going too fast!" popup if you're going too fast and it messes with spawns/step tracker, which in turn stops you from getting any steps for egg hatching etc. Of course this also resulted with that message popping a ton if your GPS signal was bad. I know in my old apartment if I opened the game I would randomly swing around nearby stops and often even when I was just walking around playing the game it would think I'm half a kilometer to random direction. It was also weird getting weather warnings from the game. Apparently Nyantic often considers my country's normal autumn/winter weather to be a health hazard, based on the amount of times I saw that when heading out for a refreshing walk in a nice weather.
I imagine that it doesn't do too much. Because Farseer missiles are fast and have wacky movement paths, interceptors seem to have a really hard time shooting them down compared to straight-moving, slow missiles like Sentries or Stormcallers. I find that interceptors will shoot down like 1 in every like 8-10 missiles fired from a Farseer, no matter what the interception unit is. I've had somebody tech into 3 Sabertooths w/ Intercept AND 4 Mustangs with Intercept and they still couldn't stop my 4 Farseers from connecting with their missiles.
Why wouldn't you spoof? Haven't you heard the Pokemon song? "Gotta catch them all" or are you saying only rich people who can travel the world are allowed to catch them all?

It was such a cool experience suddenly seeing people swarm the local parks to collect Pokémon and battle gyms
Yeah me too men...I like the Radar unit...🌌
One of my favorite units. Love the range buff.

It bothers me alot that the firebagers gas tank hangs out like a sore thumb full of explosive material lol.
It could be coolant containers. :^P

I got back into PoGo recently because of my nephew and become hooked all over again, partly due to the now mature PvP scene.
25:25 he knows what he is doing.

Who puts a timestamp AFTER the relevant stuff was said lol
A man in got his leg impaled on a sharpend security fence trying to catch a pokemon in one of swedens biggest sport venues...
came for Mechanical violence, stay for pokemon apocalypse.
29:13 is that his own shield blocking his own missiles firing at you as you are inside???

I”m also almost gold, so I see you soon, Manuel :)
I have had to buy this game because of Grubby.

22:00 bad take, the real answer is there should not be region locked pokemon or anything for that matter. its literally a extreme version of p2w

people probably shouldn't be playing pokemon while riding bikes, not for others safety, but their own.

What time does Grubby stream US? Also I wonder if he watched the launch tourney (1k) that happened.
What happens if both players in a farseer mirror click missle intercept?

a lot of misiles get shot down?
I’ve never seen a gamer have adhd clicking before
so i guess you have never watched people play RTS's
taking that WW2 comment serious. We all know what these people look like.
People you always want to have around you...
First view and first comment! I’ve never felt more honored
SECOND
And i got first like. Shame on you sir!

Hey can someone give me a game that is similar to mechabellum on mobile.
Team Fight Tactics is an autochess battler and it’s pretty fun
