The majority of British police don't carry guns (tasers and CS spray are more common, but not universal). The exceptions are the PSNI (Police Service of Northern Ireland) and dedicated armed response units. Most of the time, you won't see the armed response guys (or if you do, their weapons will be securely locked in their vehicle and so you probably won't realise it), unless you're at a major event or by a potential target for terrorists. And, yeah, Brits tend to drink by the pint, not the litre (remember an Imperial pint is bigger than a US pint: "a pint of water weighs a pound and a quarter", and a pint is not a pound the world around), but 2 pints is roughly a litre, and 5-6 pints on a night out isn't that uncommon, so I can see someone from a fully metric country describing it as litres and litres. As for the accusations of dirty streets, based on word choice I'd guess they were either Swiss or German (although that is only a guess). If that's the case... yeah I guess in comparison they may have a point (and there are certainly areas of some UK towns and cities where objectively they'd be right). As for the grocery prices- the UK is cheaper than some places, more expensive than others. The US is notably high when it comes to prices for groceries, and it's not just down to inflation- taxes, corporate interest lobbying (hi, Monsanto! In fairness, not just them), and deliberately depressed wages also contribute. It also doesn't help comparisons that US food safety standards are so low- what in many countries is the bog standard basics is high-end artisanal foodstuffs in the US.
Uk police don’t want trouble and don’t want to inconvenience people more than they have to , if you ever get stopped by a police officer then they can detain you - detain as in ask you to stay where you are due to an incident you may or may not have a connection to or may or may not have witnessed Every action they take must be within the law BUT I must stress you also are bound by those laws meaning pushing an officers patience too much can get you arrested - they have a lot of patience at that
I follow many RUclipsrs all over the UK and they drive around and visit lots of towns and the streets always look clean and tidy. I think some visitors are just jealous and like to complain and put England down.
What they mean, is that its the parents are wearing pyjamas, it got so bad at one point that supermarkets actually banned people going in to their establishments in pyjamas, its usually a type of person that does it, the only time its usually excepted is middle of the night Christmas week. lol
People wearing PJ's at shops, supermarkets etc that's the adults doing that rather than kids, I've come across the odd person or two who did this. It's a bit weird but most people just think "ok, whatever" & just ignored it afterward.

I think myself a typical Brit and I wouldn’t consider it a “session” with any fewer than 6 British pints (=3.4l). Unless I’m on wine, of course, in which case it’s probably the equivalent of 2 bottles to myself (=1.5l). In either case I’m partial to finishing off a session with a few a whisky nightcaps.
DVLA & MMRC you can also access on line. Most employers employ someone to calculate the wages and taxes, and tax is deducted from your wages at source, before you even get them, so you don't need to worry about it. But you do get a payslip that gives you all the details of what you've been paid and what's been stopped and how much tax you've paid for that financial year.
The streets aren't dirty where I live. We have groups of volunteers who go around picking up litter. There are many litter bins around as well as poo bins near the park which are used.
Over the last few years, from the "financial crisis" (which one? we ask ourselves) the Government has cut local authorities' money. This has led to cuts in public services, and here street cleaning has been cut back. My street has weeds growing around houses, pavements and road curbs and overgrown trees and hedges that homeowners, who have been used to the council doing it for them, haven't taken ownership of. From Yorkshire

HOW MANY TIMES IS HE GOING TO BE " SURPRISED AND SHOCKED " AT THE SAME THINGS EVERY VIDEO !!?? Our taxes are taken straight from our wages, unless you are self employed. It's called P.A.Y.E. Pay As You Earn. It's the PARENTS that are wearing the pyjamas NOT the kids !! Our good driving standards are all down to the amount of time and money you need to spend to get your licence in the UK. In the USA you just drive round a parking lot a couple of times and are given your licence. We DON'T burn the Pope. We burn Guy Fawkes !! A " storm in a tea cup " means it's NOT very important, and not worth talking about !
One of the biggest firework festivals in the country DOES burn the Pope. Just cos you don't know it doesn't mean you are correct,im embarrassed for you.
When my girlfriend went to America to attend her brother's wedding, she, he and his fiancée travelled right across from east to west by train and greyhound. This was about 1979. They did that because the brother couldn't drive and nor could the fiancée. (My girlfriend could but that wouldn't have been fair.) An American who couldn't drive! It's the parents wearing pyjamas, not the kids. Mind you I have never seen that and I think it's a bit of an urban myth. Certainly they don't do it round here. Trains are expensive if you don't plan. Plan ahead and you can get cheaper tickets. But I guess that doesn't help the tourist. There has been a marked decline in public pride in clean streets during my lifetime. Motorway verges are strewn with rubbish, wrappers are chucked on the floor, remains of takeaways can make some places obstacle courses. Councils don't clean the streets and they don't clear the drains, and then get surprised when it floods. Britain is in the path of the gulf stream. Mild, wet winds that dump their rain over the west and made the east gloomy. Like today, for example (21stOctober) : iy hasn't rained, it isn't cold, but it has never really got light. "Government services that run effectively online or over the phone." Right. Oh, we definitely do hear about homelessness in the US. This has been a big change since I was a child - you never saw anyone begging on the street when I was young. The Hyde Park tree thing was a joke. Whoosh!
I wouldn't say that groceries are "cheap" here, but plants/animals that are able to be grown/raised in the UK are probably cheaper than many places in the US due to transport/shipping. Here in the UK we have an abundance of farmland basically everywhere you go. If you are not in a large city, you are pretty much always less than a 5 minute drive to fields where crops are grown/animals are grazing. 72.8% of the UKs overall landmass is farmland, so goods have far less distance to travel, and less fuel is required to get them to processing/retail. Only 39% of all US land is used for farming, and there are entire regions that are not suitable for producing certain popular foods. Depending on where a US citizen lives, their vegetables could have travelled hundreds of miles before actually ending up in a store, so the price is likely to be hiked up.
Groceries in the UK are not cheaper exactly, but where its a smaller country with a single tax rate and no tax on certain items (bread, milk and eggs), there ain't massive transport costs between counties so it's pretty standard pricing. Perfume in the toilet: It's like your bathroom attendants you have (hand you towels and want a tip) but we ain't tipping for a towel so perfume spritz and a mint to get a tip. Police: Typically not armed but we do have armed police. Bear in mind we also have the highest gang and stabbing rates.... Pharmaceuticals: Yeah our healthcare is free for everyone, great!! Good luck getting an appointment at the doctors, or you spend 40 hrs at accident and emergency. When they do finally see you, you can't get good antibiotics or painkillers because of the health regulations, so you go home same way you came in. Weather: It's really hit and miss, depends on where you live, if you like in the north or Scotland its going to be rough, live in London its going to be fine. Hope this clears some stuff up for your fans, love your vids!!

Trains - if you need to go somewhere long distance at short notice the pricing is horrific. Otherwise it's not that bad. The weather is because we are a small island in the middle of multiple seas and oceans so the wind comes off them, meets in the middle and forms lots of clouds. That's combined with us being near the boundary of cold polar air and warm tropical air.
The guy in the toilets selling perfume is actually there to make sure people aren't doing drugs or vomiting in the toilets and let the bouncers know when it happens. The perfume is so it funds itself.
Re the trivialising if beer consumption... 6 pints (3.5 litres) after work on a normal Friday night or a weekend is not unusual and no-one would talk about them in the slightest. That would normally be accompanied with shots and shorts too, depending on how the night goes.
our food can be really expensive, most guardians don't wear pjs since their ushly on their way to work. its not normal to sell perfume in the toilet, we defiantly drink a lot. Depends on the town when it comes to dirt and rubbish, some places are more proactive in cleaning. the only time its really bad is when the bin men are on strike.
yes I have noticed Groceries are cheaper than the US. Yes HMRC and DVLA are all fully functional for voice calling and online. as for Alcohol yeah when they go to the pub they tend to drink beer by the pint and on average 6 pints is realistic. In the rural areas public transport is rubbish where I live in the UK we only have buses and half the time they are late or don't turn up so we need a car too. parents are the ones wearing PJ's not the kids. people drop litter no matter where you go. the we have an armed police unit but most police don't carry guns. Yeah we get a lot of rain in certain areas, basically the counties surrounding London tend to be dry but every where else we get rain especially in the southwest. Well driving standards have dropped considerably in the last few years but yes compared to the US they are higher. Medications are cheaper than most of Europe. the drinking thing, is why we always laugh at Americans on holiday, if you see them drinking in the afternoon, you'll not see them in the evening. they can't handle it
Most Americans will have a drink or two in the evening. Drinking alcohol isn’t common during the day. The beer in the UK is a lot higher in alcohol content than the States. I would say probably 2 pints would get most Americans drunk 😂
I absolutely love the US. My favourite go to holiday destination. But I really don’t get why the U S is so far behind with basic human rights E g. . Holiday pay. Sick pay. Health care and good quality food. It really doesn’t make sense. 😢❤ I wish more Americans would take the time & effort to visit more European countries instead of looking up online Then they might realise how the U K fought for all of these rights over many years. Unfortunately the U S citizens are still fighting for these basic rights. Too much conflicting stories Personally I hope Trump does not get back in power. But just my opinion. ❤❤
Tyler, it's the mother's of children dropping the kids off at school wearing pyjamas (I haven't seen the childrens father's in pyjamas) Also women go shopping in pyjamas (again never seen men do it) Ive seen a few women shopping in tesco not only wearing pyjamas but the full works - pyjamas, robe and slippers.
I don’t know why so many people on here are saying the weather isn’t that bad.. I think they might be down south (like london). it’s sunnier down there and it rains less, up north and in Scotland the weather is as bad as you’ve heard
A pint is just over half a litre and you know how weak most of our beers are. As a hard liver (in both senses) I'm not at all amazed by drinking a few litres of a night. And I'm not a beer man - (sing along now:) I am a cider drinker, it soothes all me troubles away.
Your taxes being calculated for you... For most people, employees basically, not sole traders or freelancers the tax system is the opposite of the US. They already know how much you earned and how much tax is payable, so your employer pays the government your tax directly. None of that "calculate it yourself and if you make a mistake that's a crime, and we know what you owe but won't tell you" nonsense. You only need to file taxes if your money comes from investments or freelance work.
In Autumn the leaves fall off the trees. Hyde Park is beautifully green. Trains are inexpensive if you have a railcard and book 2 months in advance. Sometimes near the day. Trains are not expensive.
NO ! We are NOT cheap in the UK for groceries - Its America that's SO EXPENSIVE... Whenever I go to the US, I get shocked by the price of food (especially) and then you realise why SO MANY PEOPLE eat at diners or have food delivered in America. Everything seems to cost MORE (and not just by a 'little' more, but by a LOT more). 🤔 I also HATE (but have to accept) the TIPPING CULTURE... I just pray we don't get the same way here in the UK, yet I see it 'slowly' creeping in and I really don't like it, The same as the SUE-ANYONE for ANYTHING CULTURE... Which again, you now hear ads on TV / Radio for "did you get mis-diagnosed? Have you been let down by... BLAH BLAH BLAH 😐😐😐
Groceries might be cheaper compared to America but the still arent cheap, for us Brits, the cost just keeps rising and the government doesnt care as long as they get payed for it
You say "litres" like Brits say "leaders". Also, groceries being so cheap in the UK is really strange because it's an island which imports most of its food. You'd have thought after Brexit the prices would at least be the same as Europe, but no...the UK is still quite a lot cheaper. I did some research as to why this could be and the consensus seems to be that UK supermarkets are unusually competitive, meaning consumers are so adverse to price rises that grocery stores are shy of raising prices unless they can't help it.
Whoever this person is he is not describing the UK I have lived in for 60 years. Food prices can range in price widely depending on which supermarket you purchase the food in. We do not do our income tax ourselves, it is automatically deducted from our earnings monthly. The drinking culture is depending on the person doing the consuming of alcohol. We drink our beer and lager in pints not litres. I have yet to see a pharmacy/chemist that sells alcohol as they do not sell anything alcoholic at all. They do not sell perfume/scent in toilets. It is the parents wearing the pyjamas not the children. Our streets are NOT dirty at all. The British police do not carry guns as we do not live in a gun cultured country. The Police in the UK are very friendly and approachable. We do get some loverly hot sumners and winters that are cold but sometimes can be quite mild. Prescriptions are free in Scotland Wales and Northern Ireland but you have to pay in England for any prescriptions. You can go to a pub and not drink. They do sell soft non alcoholic drinks. We have both evergreen and deciduous trees in the UK.
It depends where the person comes from, everything is relative. I'm from Central-Europe: England is dirty, food is / used to be cheap, drivers are polite, trains are expensive and unreliable, over the counter medicine is cheap.
We Brits do like to drink. We have three years on the USA as we can drink from 18 not 21. We have a reputation as being badly behaved abroad as we aren’t used to bars being open after 11 really so like to take advantage. It’s only a few louts, but they give us a bad reputation.
Alas, Groceries are definitely not cheap in the UK now, we have shrinkflation - where everything is getting smaller, and 3 times the price 😢- I've lived here all my life. Agree with the drinking culture though.. 15 pints on a Saturday night wouldn't be seen as strange 😂 Its thought to go back to the olden days where only beer was available and people were in battle all the time. Some of this other stuff is off though, I think it depends on the area/city. Fun to watch though 😊

Every action they take must be within the law BUT I must stress you also are bound by those laws meaning pushing an officers patience too much can get you arrested - they have a lot of patience at that
I follow many RUclipsrs all over the UK and they drive around and visit lots of towns and the streets always look clean and tidy.
We are a drinking nation have been for aeons. And we dont drink fking litres 😅😅😅 we drink pints.
I tend to drink vodka in litres... :)
@@irreverend_ yep better value
only need 4 pints to call it litres
@@pendleeldnep I mixed it with whisky last night, but the effect remains the same. It's not really a matter of value, I'm not sure I could actually drink lager quickly enough to feel it any more. They keep reducing the abv of it as well to hide or prevent increased costs because of the unit tax

The weather isn’t dull and grey all the time. It depends where you live. The past year hasn’t been fantastic but, over the past few years, I have sent many videos and photos of the clear blue sky, sun and beach where I live in England to an Italian friend whose mum thinks I live on a Mediterranean island. I’ve only just convinced her that I really am English and live in England. I’ve sent such photos this week (late October).
Thats right Tyler we get up at 7am and go to the pub to start consuming leeters of beer which we measure in pints until l around 11pm. When we stop drinking and stumble home on our dirty streets to our small house and sleep until next morning when we repeat thats We don't care about groceries as we are always drunk and angry from all the beer
The comment about pajams means that the parent is wearing them not the child.
Pyjamas! 🤦
Groceries are not cheap here in the UK. But having said that, we don't know where this person is from originally. Our groceries could be cheaper compared to their original country. And btw, I dropped my son of at school just this morning wearing my pyjamas. They're nice and toasty, and fleecy, and I don't care as long as I'm warm

MMRC? *HMRC surely?
im not sure why people keep saying trains are more expensive than owning a car, not even close lol. sure there expensive but no not as much as a car
True, but trains are expensive.
I think it’s cos people not from here don’t know about railcards so they pay a lot more money
No.1. All vehicles on the roads must have a current MOT (minister of transport ) certificate. This is proof that your vehicle is safe and roadworthy. If not, it is not allowed to be driven.
The streets are not dirty. I go to London regularly to visit my daughter & I'm always impressed by how clean the streets and the tube are. My local town and villages are all clean too.
I wish people would stop talking Britain down. I've lived here for 65 years and Britain may be having a few wobbles, like lots of countries around the world, but we're still moored securely just off Europe and we are not sinking!! I've got kids & grandkids and I want things to improve for them, just as so many things have improved over my lifetime.
Comment of not drinking alcohol is completely untrue. There's numerous alcohol free and soft drinks even tea or coffee served in pubs.
Loads of social interaction. Where did you get these people? Most of this info is BS
As long as he still makes money....
Then he repeats the 'surprise and shock' all over again on his Canadian channel..

Weather in UK is mostly due to the Atlantic conveyor belt, UK weather comes from what happens in the gulf of Mexico and the Gulf Stream.
I'm in the older generation at 65 and I love that you can deal with taxes etc on the HMRC App and also driving / DVLA stuff on my phone. And the NHS App is getting close to being fully operational.
The average person will drink around 5-7 pints on a quiet trip to the pub, on a night out, it could be easily around 20 pints or equivalent alcohol.
The trees and aren't dead in hyde park, November is the autumn or fall as you call it,there is a hint for you.
The pubs start serving alcohol at 9 in the morning and people are already waiting to start drinking! I could never.
Re the trivialising if beer consumption... 6 pints (3.5 litres) after work on a normal Friday night or a weekend is not unusual and no-one would talk about them in the slightest. That would normally be accompanied with shots and shorts too, depending on how the night goes.
OMG ! Why am I suprised Tyler completely misunderstood and thought it was the kids that were the ones clad in pyjamas and not the parents? 🤣
I thought Tyler did a video reaction about British Schools and kids wearing uniforms.
He did... And one on Boarding schools...
As for the drinking culture just got home from the pub only managed 8 pints in 70 used to be a drinker
our food can be really expensive, most guardians don't wear pjs since their ushly on their way to work. its not normal to sell perfume in the toilet, we defiantly drink a lot. Depends on the town when it comes to dirt and rubbish, some places are more proactive in cleaning. the only time its really bad is when the bin men are on strike.
Our street’s are clean where I live.
Buying beer etc in Boots chemists? I've been here 61 years and I've never seen that. Let's see proof, photos!
yes I have noticed Groceries are cheaper than the US. All Government online service have apps that work well here. as For Drinking and Social gatherings thing well that is codswollup. LGBTQ rights are high here. homelessness is on the rise in the UK.Hahaha yep You alright? is pretty unique to the UK. Guy Fawkes the Gun powder Plot to blow up the Houses of parliament
Lots of mums drop kids to school or go to local shops in pyjamas, we don't send the kids to school in pj's lol I've done it
I don't know who this person is but he British streets are not dirty . I live in London and it's not dirty. If you want dirty street go to France or Germany.
We don't buy Beer in Ltrs, its pints. I don't know anyone who goes out to have just a couple of drinks.
the drinking thing, is why we always laugh at Americans on holiday, if you see them drinking in the afternoon, you'll not see them in the evening. they can't handle it
Most Americans will have a drink or two in the evening. Drinking alcohol isn’t common during the day. The beer in the UK is a lot higher in alcohol content than the States. I would say probably 2 pints would get most Americans drunk 😂
You CAN phone HMRC & DVLA if you don't mind call waiting for hours! I wouldn't recommend it. Do it online.
here in the uk we drink gallons of beer and lager
The UK is on the same latitude as Hudson Bay Canada, if it was not for the Gulf stream we would be frozen solid for most of the year.
Doing the taxes in Sweden we do it on line Takes about a minute
A minute at most.😁
Most English people don't need to 'do their taxes', PAYE takes care of it.
@@stephenlee5929 PAYE ? You are talking to an international audience, avoid national acronyms.
I absolutely love the US. My favourite go to holiday destination. But I really don’t get why the U S is so far behind with basic human rights E g.
. Holiday pay. Sick pay. Health care and good quality food. It really doesn’t make sense. 😢❤
I wish more Americans would take the time & effort to visit more European countries instead of looking up online Then they might realise how the U K fought for all of these rights over many years. Unfortunately the U S citizens are still fighting for these basic rights. Too much conflicting stories Personally I hope Trump does not get back in power. But just my opinion. ❤❤
Tyler, it's the mother's of children dropping the kids off at school wearing pyjamas (I haven't seen the childrens father's in pyjamas)
Also women go shopping in pyjamas (again never seen men do it)
Ive seen a few women shopping in tesco not only wearing pyjamas but the full works - pyjamas, robe and slippers.
I don’t know why so many people on here are saying the weather isn’t that bad.. I think they might be down south (like london). it’s sunnier down there and it rains less, up north and in Scotland the weather is as bad as you’ve heard
Everything is cheaper in Europe, and better quality. I haven't done taxes in 10 years, it's done automatically
I've never seen dirty streets been living in London nearly 50 years
litres off beer dont they mean gallons normally drink 2 gallons of beer once a mounth
Normally/usually any goods of vital importance are not subject to speculation...
The streets may as well be gum at this point
A pint is just over half a litre and you know how weak most of our beers are. As a hard liver (in both senses) I'm not at all amazed by drinking a few litres of a night. And I'm not a beer man - (sing along now:) I am a cider drinker, it soothes all me troubles away.
weather, two words gulf stream. warm moist air brought from south west collides with cold air over UK.
11:58 i think it's also that we are not obsessed with "our rights"
In Autumn the leaves fall off the trees. Hyde Park is beautifully green. Trains are inexpensive if you have a railcard and book 2 months in advance. Sometimes near the day. Trains are not expensive.
I'm guessing they were from somewhere with conifer type trees.
BLAH BLAH BLAH 😐😐😐
hey 4 pints is basically 2 litres. and 4 pints is not many for night out
if you use the trains in off peak times, its ok..but privatization made it more expensive than it should be
Groceries might be cheaper compared to America but the still arent cheap, for us Brits, the cost just keeps rising and the government doesnt care as long as they get payed for it
Britsih Police don't carry guns, however Northern Irelands PSNI do carry guns and is a part of the UK not Britain.
You say "litres" like Brits say "leaders". Also, groceries being so cheap in the UK is really strange because it's an island which imports most of its food. You'd have thought after Brexit the prices would at least be the same as Europe, but no...the UK is still quite a lot cheaper. I did some research as to why this could be and the consensus seems to be that UK supermarkets are unusually competitive, meaning consumers are so adverse to price rises that grocery stores are shy of raising prices unless they can't help it.
the VAT is lower on food that in other European countries
A litre of beer is less than 2 pints. It's not unusual to drink 4 to 6 pints and closer to 10 if you're "getting on it" 😁
Whoever this person is he is not describing the UK I have lived in for 60 years.
Our weather is only dull and grey in comparison to a Mediterranean island.
the driving here is only good by Mediterranean standards too
Have you watched Rumple of the Bailey?
Tyler where do you live ?, do you ever leave your City /Towns . I’ve travelled all over the Us and used a mixture of Amtrak trains and Greyhound Buses all the time , I’m puzzled no problems a great service 🤔🤷♀️

You try getting by on such a damp grey island without litres of beer 😆
Americans think they drink a lot when they have 4 beers (bottles) it’s not uncommon to have 2 “pints” with a pub lunch
How many times do you get things wrong, you know about guns in the in the UK about the price of food, most

I think Tyler has a short memory as I saw another of his videos (an older one) where it mentions how cheaper groceries are the U.K. are compared to the U S. Of course people of the U.K are aware there's homeless people. It's a huge problem that Prince Wiliam is trying to end.
The UK has beer that you can actually drink The USA sucks balls at beer
These days I can deal with HMRC and DVLC online from Japan!
You've said several times that saying al'right' or ya'al'right as a greeting in the US would not be accepted. Yet y'all say What's up. Which is kinda the same thing.
