Ruby has her mother's emblem because, her mom left it behind for her on her last mission. But I can't explain any further because more information on that will be revealed before the end of the Volume. So it's a spoiler. But yes, that Rose emblem wasn't originally Ruby's. It was just passed down to her. What Weiss is seeing is Atlas falling. Her previous home where she grew up in. She's a bit tormented by it. Recall, the last episode of Volume 8 where we see Atlas descending into Mantle. RWBY's city of Atlas is based off of the Greek mythology of the character Atlas, who was formed to hold up the heavens on his back after losing a war against Zeus and Olympian gods. He held it up in the sky which is why RWBY's version alluded to being in the sky as well. However, the second part of it is another story where it's also based on the city of Atlantis where the city becomes submerged in water just like RWBY's Atlas became at the end of Volume 8. According to CRWBY and the showrunner, Kerry, Jaune was in the Ever After sometime between 10-20 years. He's basically a 40-something year old man here according to Kerry. That's why we have the "mature" comment from Weiss 😂. By the way, this episode, before it first aired, CRWBY was warning people not to spoil anything from this episode and they kept repeating this because this episode eventually broke the internet when Blake and Yang finally became canon. So their ship called "Bumbleby" finally happened after 10 years. And you're right about him representing the fandom LOL 😂🤣 And I remember CRWBY/Kerry mentioning that this whole season (Volume 9) is basically a therapy volume for all the characters. The next few episodes after this one is going to be really rough so sit tight because I remember Rooster Teeth posting trigger warnings. Just to give you a heads up in case it's too triggering.
