Trip down memory lane. . . in my '69 Z/28 - - 302 - - M22 Rock Crusher 4 Speed - - 3.73 Posi. . . Those were the days. . . It's so refreshing to see two, beautiful, talented, young women enjoying life the way it use to be. Brings tears to my eyes. Thanks for the memories!
This was so awesome. You can hear the horsepower on that car. The beginning of this video looked like the opening scene of a 1970's action movie. You both look great powering around in that Camaro. There were still alot of cars like that on the road when I was growing up in the 80's so I spent alot of time in them. The first time I ever listened to Van Halen I was in a car just like that. Hearing you both talk about being old school and liking old music, style and cars warms my heart. I have wonderful childhood memories from the 1970's and 80's and I miss those times very much.
There is nothing like cruising in a vintage car. God bless. I graduated in 1969 and my first car was a 1961 Chevy station wagon and I wish I still had it.
Can’t beat riding around in that jewel! I had a 65 mustang in high school back in the 80’s. I had to sell it after we had kids, you know the rest. Be safe girls y’all are awesome.
Hi Corie and Katie when i was 21 my dad got me a 67 Mustang gold lime convertible . Had it for along time . Loved that car. They don't make cars like that anymore so sad.
I sure miss my old Camaro and other Muscle Cars. Man what a great time we had .Nothing sounds, smells, feels like old school autos. Cherry bombs hush thrush. CCR, marshal tucker band. I love that car. 1964 ford ranger stepside was my truck. Love this memory Jog. God bless this channel 🔥
I used to ride around country roads like this mostly at night, listening to Hank Jrs' version of Midnight Rider. That's what this video and that car make me think of. Glad y'all had fun!
You Girls are so sweet, I am so glad that y’all are old school I love watching y’all and your family I love watching celebrating Appalachian.ways thanks for the music and for your joy of life, but most of all thanks to y’all for loving my Lord and Savior Christ Jesus I love that y’all was raised on the Lord Praise the Lord for good and faithful Ladies of Christ like y’all. So thanks so much and may the Lord’s blessings be upon both of y’all always.
That car is when they made real cars nothing plastic in that!! Reminds me of my parents 65 Pontiac Grand Prix same color inside and out!! Those car had a hell of and engine. Have fun ladies thank for sharing the ride!! Beautiful !!❤️
Born in 62 and I do feel for you and Katie, some of the best cars, music, and clothes came out of the 60's and 70's. by the mid 80's everything started going down hill in America, till the mess we have today. Let your voice be heard its your world now make it how you want it. Demand better Its time young people step up and say enough. Thank you for the wonderful trip into the past, Katie in the car looked right out of 1976. Keep up the good work.
I'm not trying to be negative but I was in my 20's in 1969 & the 1970's. There were some good times but also the Vietnam War was going on & lots of disagreement in the country about it. Lots of people were doing free love & drugs. I wasn't part of that culture thank goodness! I do understand your nostalgia, I feel that way about the the late 1950's. Even though I was just a kid. Loved the music of my older sister's generation. Luv your channel, you are special young ladies. Blessings. Grammy from Texas!
What a "cool" video! I am 70 years old and in 1969 bought a yellow Mustang - very fast car. Now, I drive a Toyota Sienna Van!!! So, girls, enjoy these "cool" cars as long as you can. I feel I have always been "old school". I've always loved old things - old people - and things that have a real meaning. I truly feel I should have been born and raised in the NC mountains - because I love the air, beauty & old ways. I love your videos and Tipper's videos. You girls are sweet and so pretty!!!!!
a '69 Camaro! Can't beat it! I was always in love with the '68 Mustang Fastback, but... then one day... I saw a '76 Camaro and...well... haven't looked back since. Hope you guys get to drive it around some more!
My first car: 1972 Nova, 8cyl, power steering, no power brakes, windows or locks, heat but no AC. AM radio only but I added FM and a cassette. No remote, ABS, airbags. Drum brakes, not disc. Carb, no fuel injection. It was a simpler 🌎 then.
I also owned a 1978 chevy nova ss model car. It only had the v6 engine. I had the vinyl roof stripped. Then I got it painted Ontario wet gray with silver metal flake in the paint job. Had keystone classic mag wheels on it and Kelly Springfield tires. It also had a top of the line Kenwood stereo powered by a 100 watt Rockford Fosgate amp and 2 tri-axle JBL speakers in the back window deck. That stereo was loud!
It's great to see the joy you express while taking a ride. The song that came to my mind , She's an ol hippie and she don't know what to do. Hang onto the old or grab onto the new. Cain't remember who sings it.
I am a product of the seventies and married very young. We had one car, a 340 Duster with craiger wheels and dual exhaust. It had hood pins, but only a 3 speed straight drive. It was awesome. We took it on the weekends to drag and drove it all week to work.
Y'all's Uncle must really love his nieces... REO Speedwagon was the first concert I ever took a date to see... We saw them 3 or 4 times... Always a great concert... Great Video Ladies... 😁👍👍❤❤❤
My dream car is what you are driving but with an Ls engine under the hood. That's a sweet ride with that 'horse shoe' shifter and rallye wheels plus you can tell that your Uncle put a hotter camshaft in the engine because it sounds so good.
Back in Highschool (late-70's) the cool kids had Mustangs and Camaro's. Dad loved the old Datsun 1200's and 510's and we had a bunch of them. 2nd year of college through 2nd year of working in Silicon Valley was in an old green Datsun 1200. Stinkin'-simple, never let me down, and always did 32+ mpg. Dad always wanted one of those Datsun 1600 roadsters and I saw one recently and it brought back memories. And lust! It was in perfect shape and I chatted with the owner and took pictures. He just beamed when talking about the car which he'd had 30-ish years. Oh it was pretty...so yeah I think that'd be my dream car :-)
Wow, y'all better hug your uncle every time you see him for letting you drive his classic! I tend to agree with your choices of dream cars and trucks. Me personally, I want a 1998 Panoz Roadster, mostly because I worked there and it is such a different car.
Hi. I just subscribed. I listened to another video of you two singing a Merle Haggard tune and your voices soothed my soul! I got out of highschool in 1970 and needed a car for college. I had a chance to buy a RED 69 Camaro, but it only had an inline 6 cyl engine. So I bought an almost new GOLD 70 model Camaro (with a V8) AND a stick shift.....which I quickly had to learn how to drive. 😳 BUT that 70 was a HOT runner. Got the only speeding ticket of my life in it. I'm hoping to soon finish restoring the 80 model sitting in my shop. I put a 327 V8 from a 69 Impala in it, so I think it'll be hard on tires!😁 Thank you for your music. I had heard of you, but had never listened. BUT, I'm listening NOW! You sing from the soul!❤
Awesome ride!! I luv old-school hot rods/customs through the '70s. One of my dream cars is sitting in my garage...'32, 5 window hi-boy, copped top, 383 ci stroker, 700-r4 trans, 4" dropped frt axle & 9" ford narrowed rear end. U can see the frt end in my personal icon.
Had a sweet lifted 72 Blazer CST back in the day. Summer driving with the top off was so fun. Convertible truck like. Could crawl right into the engine compartment to work on it. Best friend had a 62 Impala convertible white with red interior and I had 72 Malibu blue with a black top. When we were teens in the mid 70's you could get these cars used for under $1k. High school auto shop was where you did all your mods. Great to see young people interested in classic muscle cars and vintage stuff. It was a great time to be young for sure. If only I had got a 50's LP gold top back then. My holy grail guitar for sure. Got a 2018 LP Classic though. I'm a P90 guy. 😎
Riding in old cars out in the country are so much fun. I have a cousin that has his own business where he restores cars and makes them look like there brand new. Enjoy your ride and thanks for sharing girls.
I had a red one back when it was just a couple of years old! What a great, great car! It was so much fun to ride with you girls in that pretty blue Camero! Yes, the seventies were good times and I miss a lot of those things but you girls bring a real sweetness to these times, too!
I am so envious that you got to drive that gorgeous car! My godmother had the exact same car, she bought it new. She was a tiny woman and it did not have power anything! 😊🇨🇦
Love it! Course I would have been a baby the year that car came out.. Lol... My dream was to one day get a '66 mustang. Annnnndddd.... I'm still waiting! Lol...
That is a sweet ride! You are right about the cars of that era and older, they had soul and the cars today are awful. They all look alike and it costs a fortune to get one worked on.
Thanks for this video! I always wanted a 68 or 69 Camaro RS/SS, but I was never fortunate enough to get one. You guys are driving my dream car through my beloved western North Carolina mountains. Thank you for letting me live my dream through your video.
Thanks for the ride in your uncle's beautifully restored 69 Camaro "wayback" machine, Chitter. Reminds me of the brand new 67 Camaro I owned a l-o-n-g time ago. If I could perform magic, I'd resurrect my 67 (in brand new condition, of course) and give it to you, and then your generous uncle could have his 69 back. These days, much like the Pressley family, I drive a Toyota 4x4 pickup.
Just recently came across your channel and subscribed , Im 53 and I to love the old ways and old things , I wouldnt mind a 1969 Chevelle and I also like the square body Chevy trucks I like the Blazer your dad had I had a 1978 K5 Blazer was probably my favorite vehicle and I too am pretty much all Toyota now since 1992 , had me a Four Runner exactly like yours for a while now I got a 2015 Tacoma and a 2011 Ford Crown Vic Interceptor . Anyhow I really enjoy your videos your just such down to earth sweet girls congrats to your parents for raising ya right . And thats some beautiful country you live in Im a few hours Northeast of ya in west Hickory NC , or East Burke County .
Sweet ride girls! Got a good sound to it . My husband's first car was a 69 Chevy Malibu loved that car and the man that drove it lol wish we still had car by the way I still have the man ha ha .
I drove a 69 NOVA in High School ... 307, TH350, Seems about maybe 17MPG ... Sadly, somebody hit it head on, and that is why I know there is a steel ring inside of the plastic steering wheel, because I cracked it with my body. And these "types" do "spin" as in spin out, once with big sis driving, and once with me. Very simple tech, you could do your own work. You girls are so nice!
I loved this video! My first car I bought was a ‘67 Camaro super sport with 327 engine. I’m 65 now and would love to drive a car like your ‘69 Camaro again. I found your page because I’m musician and play guitar, bass, and mandolin. I loved both of your Les Paul videos. I have Martins, Teles, Strats , Les Pauls and PRS guitars. I’m in Dahlonega Georgia and would love to have y’all play at one of our festivals sometime. Love your music! I’m hooked on your channel and enjoy seeing young people playing traditional and rock music as well. Thanks for all your posts.
What fun!!! Taking a joy ride in a vintage beauty on a Saturday afternoon is awesome. Hearing you talk about power steering an brakes make me think of my first car - a 74 Chevy Vega. No power steering or brakes in that car. When I first got it, I couldn't hardly steer it but after a while, I could steer it with one hand. I built up my arm an leg muscles with that car. lol
I learned to drive on a 79 Chevy Silverado pickup while planting crops in the field. I drove and my brother and mom would throw seed and fertilizer off the tailgate into the rows as I drove down them. I barely could see over the hood. What a memory!
oh man that is such a sweet car, I have always wanted a Chevy Camaro '67-'69 super sweet! That engine sounds amazing and its my favorite Chevy color! Fun ride thanks for sharing!! 💯❤️
I love a classic muscle car, but haven't had one since I was your age. When I started my family I switched to Toyota minivans and drove them at least 300K miles each. You can't beat that Toyota truck engine for a modern vehicle. Plus I could camp in it.
Ah I forgot to tell you that I love old cars and we truly are kindred spirits so thanks for the video keep doing what y’all are doing I look forward to the next one thanks,Papa
I'm a big fan of any vehicles from the 60's. It's gotta be a 68 Bronco. My first car was a 63 Ford Falcon. You ladies could make a Pacer look stylish. LOL. Thanks for sharing.
Omg, did you just say REO Speedwagon? Love you two. And you actually know something about the car! Why aren’t there more young folks like you two. The world would be a much better pace for sure.
This brought back memories of my brothers first car. Same car but lighter blue and two stripes going over the hood and trunk. They are sweet. does it have a 8 track player?
Hey, nice change of pace video -- now you need to get that Gibson LP and do a 60's rock song while sitting on the fender. I recommend "Sound of Silence" or Like a Rolling Stone"!! 😎Cool car - original body style can't beat that with a stick! The first Camaros were really rushed to the market because Lee Iaccoca and Ford caught everyone with their "pants down" when they rolled out the Mustang in the spring of 1964 -- I think within 24 -48 hours all of them were sold! Some guy bought one for his son who was a senior at my college so we all got to see one up close!
Beautiful car! I had a 1971 Dodge Dart I really liked. You couldn't go over 50 mph without it overheating, and I carried jugs of water in the trunk. ((chuckle)) I'd get together with a family member to work on it together. That was back when you could work on cars yourself. I'd like to get such a car again.
This is so cool!! I love old cars, especially old muscle cars. Honestly though, every one of my "dream cars" is something most folks would think is really boring lol. I've always really wanted a land rover defender, but you can't really get them in this country. I currently am driving a 99 Toyota Camry, against which I harbor but one complaint, that being that the car decides what gear it's in, rather than me choosing. I don't like automatic transmissions at all
@@thepressleygirls you should learn to drive standard, it's so easy and fun, and it's really impressive to a lot of people especially as a girl. Also, if you ever travel outside of the US, you'll need to know how to drive one
Wow that is one sexy car I'm super jelly of you ladies right now. I'm a big fan of the Camaro my Uncle Randy owned a midnight blue 1977 Camaro. It was the first car I ever drove when I was 13 teen. Your Dad & uncle have great taste in cars & trucks really cool. You ladies look good in that car for sure.
I love that car it definitely sounds like it has some serious muscle under the hood love it thanks Corey and Katie for the ride in a true classic nice little cherp taking off out of the parking lot Katie lol another nice muscle car is a 69 Nova SS very nice lol I've edited my comment like three time's lol sorry y'all does that Camaro have dual exhaust sounds very nice
We enjoyed having a look at the 69 Camero ,my husband especially we were teenagers in the early 60’s ... he was drafted soon out of high school 1970 and was sent to Alaska his twin brother to Germany, their older brother to Vietnam ...when he got home finally he bought a 69 Camero SS Rally Sport ...Indianapolis pace Car for that year ...it was a convertible , white with 2 big very orange stripes on the hood and trunk ...it was cool ❣️His twin brother borrowed it to go on his honemoon when he got married .... he drove it a few years and then sold it ... when a gas shortage was going on and people were buying smaller ,easier on gas cars ...he bought a Chevy Vega which was not a good car ... he sure enjoyed that camero while he had it ...we still see it in our hometown parades with who ownes it now . Enjoyed all you cool girls shared have a wonderful Saturday afternoon 🤓🤓 love us oldsters in Kentucky .
Thank you for lettin us drive around with you ! I had a 66 Vette back in the mid 70s. You could buy a used Vette back then for about $2500- $3500 all day back then. Wish I bought 10, and kept em.
What an awesome car. 69 Camero and 69 Firebird Formula are my favorites from that period. I'd probably have to add about any old Corvette from back then too.
You look cool riding around the Camero. The 66 GTO was first class. And the TRANS AM when they first came out were hard to beat. I bought a new 73 Caprice with everything possible on it including a 454 cubic inch engine brand new from the dealer and paid $4,000. At best it got 12mpg 3 and without doing anything extra shot up to 140mph in no time! A beautiful pale yellow! Gas went up to 48.9 cents a gallon in the late Spring of 1976. You both look great driving your uncle's car. The fifties and sixties were grand times.
@@thepressleygirls yes but you must keep it all relevant when gas jumped up to 48.9 then quickly went to about 60 I had a college degree and decent job and my gross income was $500(+ -)a month! Enjoy a great day!
Back in college I had a 1968 SS 396 Camaro , excellent condition - wish I still had it and my girlfriend . I had a 69 Camaro RS . Great Video

A breath of fresh air you two are. Outside the box of the millennial norm. Love it!

Classic, beautiful ladies in a classic beautiful car! A Saturday afternoon doesn’t get much better than that. ❤
Dream car is a truck. 1958 F100. That was my first. In the 80s it was 30+ years old and it was yellow. So much fun driving around the old cars.
You kids are so cool 😎 From your smiles to your style. I hope my twins grow up to be just like yall. 👍

The 67 is my favorite Camaro. LOVE classic cars.
Love the wink of the eye Miss Katie , that’s one hot car , talk about a great privilege he let yall drive that ❤
Really fun for me to watch y’all have so much fun in that car. I’m an old car guy. My daughters at least sometimes enjoy my old cars.
Love the Camaro! Used to love driving around in my 67 Chevy Malibu 327 4-speed! Of course, I got tempted to race every now & then! 😄

SMILING BIG at 8:38 because I'm watching this one after your newest video of your joy ride in the "new" truck. You got your dream truck, Katie!! 😍
Almost exactly one year later! So much fun!!
Thank you!
I had a red one back when it was just a couple of years old! What a great, great car!
It was so much fun to ride with you girls in that pretty blue Camero! Yes, the seventies were good times and I miss a lot of those things but you girls bring a real sweetness to these times, too!
Great video,nice

Wow cool car! Katie you looked like your were born to drive that car. The way you had your hair up and that shirt you were truly rockin' the sixties 😁

I am so envious that you got to drive that gorgeous car! My godmother had the exact same car, she bought it new. She was a tiny woman and it did not have power anything! 😊🇨🇦
She sound so pretty omg beautiful car I love the sound of that car
My first car was a 69 Camaro ! I got it my senior year, just before I graduated. 1973 Wish I still had it. Really like you girls. Awesome music.
That’s a great first car!
There’s no school like the old school !
1969 Dodge Super Bee! Or 1969 2 door Chevy Impala or 1969 Olds Toronado! Wooo eeee lets hit the drive in. 😉👍
Two beautiful young ladies in a beautiful car⚘I just don't have the words😍
🙏🥰
Love it! Course I would have been a baby the year that car came out.. Lol... My dream was to one day get a '66 mustang. Annnnndddd.... I'm still waiting! Lol...
Awesome car! Beautiful color too! Indeed, power steering and brakes will definitely save your muscles.
WOW, I have watched some of your videos and your mama's; but never expected this. 1969 Camaro, yes you girls are cool!
Watching that was a lot of fun, and looks like ya'll had a lotta fun too! :-)
We sure did, thanks for letting us drive it!
That’s a sweet car. My papa has a ‘69 also. Love the turquoise shirt!
🙏🙏
Sweet ride, your uncle must really love you girls!!
Katie's a natural,, I watched her drive her square body and other vehicles,, it just comes natural to her,, and I'm an old car guy
That’s a great memory! We actually first drove on an 80’s pick up on some old logging roads! 🤠
oh man that is such a sweet car, I have always wanted a Chevy Camaro '67-'69 super sweet! That engine sounds amazing and its my favorite Chevy color! Fun ride thanks for sharing!! 💯❤️
Two beauties in a classic car. God bless America!
Thank you! 🥰
Boy I wish I had a 68 Bronco, thanks for watching! ☺️
Old cars are great ... I have a 64 Impala with aircon when you roll the windows down 🤣 you guys are awesome
That’s awesome! 🥰
Watching again with my hubby.
Thats a cool car, ladies... Id love to have a 71 Olds 442 !
That's so cool! Beautiful car and two beautiful girls!
OK, now I'm jealous... That car is a beauty.... You girls make it shine even brighter..
Cool car. Groovy shirt.
Thanks! 🤠
Reminds me of Thelma and Louise!
I loved this video.i like old things too.that car is over the top.love color.big windows.i owned a 55 chevy once.🤣🤣🤣
Awesome, thanks for watching!
I don't like automatic transmissions at all
Thank you! Yes Land Rovers are awesome! I also like the Land Cruisers! I can only drive an automatic 😂
Hey thank you so much! And those novas were awesome!
@@thepressleygirls That they were I had a friend that had one an man oh man that thing was scary fast lol
Gotta say, seeing you girls in that car brought back so many memories. Y'all be safe and thanks for sharing.. ;}=-
They are safe!! Where God live need to worry! God IS OUR SAFETY! not man!
Thank you for lettin us drive around with you ! I had a 66 Vette back in the mid 70s. You could buy a used Vette back then for about $2500- $3500 all day back then. Wish I bought 10, and kept em.
Thank you and yes that would be cool! 💕🙏
Absolutely beautiful car....I’m jealous....lol..thanks for sharing your ride girls....
Brenda
What an awesome car. 69 Camero and 69 Firebird Formula are my favorites from that period. I'd probably have to add about any old Corvette from back then too.
Yes those are awesome too! 😎
I wish gas was that price now! I bet that was a beautiful and fast car! 🤠💕
@@thepressleygirls yes but you must keep it all relevant when gas jumped up to 48.9 then quickly went to about 60 I had a college degree and decent job and my gross income was $500(+ -)a month! Enjoy a great day!
My daughter Katie had a 1969 Camaro too! She’s 9 years older than you girls. That car could MOVE!!! Her’s was a V6.
