My God, she can even die gracefully. Beautiful actress. She was wonderful as Miss Giddens in the greatest ghost story ever filmed (in my opinion), The Innocents. Everyone here is right on - she will not be forgotten. Thank you for posting this one - a true reminder of what has gone and cannot be replaced.
Lovely video. In the summer I maintain the graveyard in Alfold West Sussex and I have to tend to her grave (as all the others) every other week and its such a plain ordinary stone among the others - not like the lady herself but then plain and simple can be beautiful. I adored her when I was young.
Elegant to the very end...timelessly a finest performance on stage and life as well...very much loved in adored her fans, enduring her own era and beyond.
If there is a Heaven, mine would be the final riverside love scene in Tea And Sympathy. I would be Tom and would relive that moment over and over for all eternity.
I understand your point of view - and if you look at my other clips dedicated to Deborah, you will see that I chose some joyful songs - and all of them showed her when she was younger. But here she is dying and I felt this is the proper song. I watched the series, I have it on DVD, and the scenes where she dies can't be presented on the background of a joyful song, don't you think?

What music is that? It's so fittingly sad, I nearly cried. Kerr always arouses the deepest emotions in me, I can't help it. And to see her in old age - and still such a dignified beauty, it makes you weak. And it gives you hope there are/ were feeling human beings on this crazy world. In one interview she says: "I passionately abhor brutality" - and you believe her every word. I'll always remember her soft strength. She's one in a million. Now that was MY obituary.-
No. What is shown here is really the end scene in a movie late in her career. But this is not the way she really died. In real life, she had Parkinson's disease, a most disabling disease and a tragic way to die. Michael J. Fox has the same disease and lives for a long time. I am so sad that Deborah Kerr had Parkinson's. It's tragic, it's sad, and it's so unfair for a great lady. When interviewed some time before her death, she said she's not afraid to die, she has no regret because she had a full life. Deborah Kerr, I miss you so!

I wish there was an English version to this. I would love to have heard her voice again.
