My personal credit score isn’t terrible, a 683 because I pay at least the minimum every month but thank you for teaching me that utilization is just as important. Hey Ralph at what point did you read Rich Dad Poor Dad! That book changed my mindset back in 2014. Coming from Philly I had no knowledge of how to become financially free. Understanding the difference between assets and liability was foundational mindset game changers for me!
What would you recommend in this case: Personal credit declared bankruptcy 1 year ago and credit well on its recovery with 8k in personal credit, 0% utilization. 680 score and small loan paid off just now I want to launch my business asap I heard there are ways to remove the derogatory mark on my personal credit. Should I bother paying tons of money to get that cleared or just keep patience as it recovers since the business credit is where I will be able to actually launch.
Good question. It all depends on how the banks feel about that bankruptcy. I would build relationships with banks in the meantime regardless while still trying to get that bankruptcy off your report. By the time both tasks are complete, you’ll be more than ready to get funding for your business!

I’ve honestly never did one of those. I would just start focusing every single dollar you have to paying the debt down. As you pay the debt down & get more credit, over time you will be in good shape instead of just shifting the debt.
