Do you still get to claim your hours for the pay period you are claiming sick time? Can you make up your claimed sick time hours using your hours left in the pay period on another day?
Was this in California, Donna? I'm not a county employee or expert, but have been a provider for a decade or so. If California, a doctor's note is not required. Nothing is except the date&time and amount of hours you need to claim. If done through mail I imagine holiday rush may have delayed it, but if done through the electronic services portal you 100% should have received at least a notice via email the same ya would before payments. Notification of approval followed by notification of payment. Since they implemented the sick pay for providers - as long as you have some time accrued and meet requirements to claim (I think there's a buffer so people don't cash out first day they're given :p) - you should be processed and receive a paystub for it in 3-5 days. That's my experience at least. If in CA and use the ESP for time entry - feel free to email me or comment back for help if need.
No, it expires in June. Resets, The unused hours are lost, forfeited. I think this is the 2nd year we have had sick pay? Last year was 8 hours this year is 16 hours next year is 24 hours.I’m pretty sure?
