My absolute favorite thrash / Prog / metal bands of all time! I was hooked since seeing them open for Celtic Frost in 1986… Been obsessed ever since, smoked weed with Away and Piggy , caught almost every tour! I’m a diehard fanatic… How does a band get better after all these years?

Since its beginnings, Voivod has been playing a highly recognizable and unparalleled kind of sound. But over the years this sonic brand that these skilled Canadian guys have created does not prevent them from taking some risks, as a great number of Metal bands does out there. On the contrary, listening to a brand new Voidod's song is always a positively surprising experience. Greetings from a dedicated fan from Brazil. Keep up the fucking amazing work!
I hate like hell to admit this but I just discovered Voivod about a week ago. I am blown away. Went back to earlier stuff and it's about as bad ass. This album is beyond belief for me. I am a bassist. Never famous but played a lot locally. I'm fucking happy to have some new music. Quite a lot to listen to and that's good.
Not to detract from the amazing music these guys are still putting out, but peak Voivod IMO was 1987-90: Killing Technology/ Dimension Hatross/ Nothingface. Do NOT miss those 3 albums. Piggy & Blacky together were an unstoppable force of auditory dissonance, born in the heart of the Great Chaotic Cosmos.
i first heard them in the late 80s but i was too young to understand. all my little brain wanted at the time was more megadeth and DRI lol. it wasn't until mid 90s that a friend forced me to listen to Nothingface and I was destroyed. it has been my favourite album ever since.

Re-discovered Voivod in 2017 after hearing the Post Society Ep, then I went and listened to all their other stuff. Nothingface one of my favs and Outer Limits, Angel Rat too.

Another amazing release from my favorite band over all years. The diversity and arrangements are from another world. How a band over and over can generate albums of such high quality and never repeat them self are beyond my comprehension. Voivod sounds better and better and what future holds will be beyond exciting. Thank you Voivod for giving a musical pleasure for decades. No one above - no one beside!
The older the better...Mongrain is really a monster. He learned Piggys vocabulary very well but bring something fresh to Voivod. This is gonna be some great album again.
I love all eras of voivod but this line up has just been spectacular over the years . Mongrain and Dominic bring a whole new dimension to Voivod. \,,/,

Even after Piggy died. I remember rockin this stuf in the 90s, when i was selling, had a ton of money, drugs...pool table, Cerwin Vega mega stereo...saw them at Peppermint Beach Club in VA Beach...awesome!
Been listening to the album for a few days now. Really really growing on me. Mind Clock and this track are my favs right now. The mixing is great. I'm so pleased with how LOUD the bass is!!!
Pleased to see them finally in Ft. Lauderdale last Tuesday, a dream come true, they're really nice people, about 30 years waiting for this moment. FOREVER VOIVOD!!!

Most bands can't manage two good albums in their short careers, yet Voivod have managed to get better and better from the first decade and well into their fifth! Since 1984 they have been a mainstay in the soundtrack of my life, and I wouldn't have it any other way!

I find it extremely heart-warming that the camera zooms in Daniel's Virus shirt, in various occasions. Voivod has certainly been the most obvious influence for Virus, but they have managed to transform the influence into a world of their own. Seeing this kind of mutual appreciation is simply a beautiful thing. Greetings to both beloved bands, from Greece.
