- On this trip out to the line I'm accompanied by my good buddy Shane. We came out mid-week to get some wolf snares out on some bait stations that were placed just a week prior. As luck would have it, the wolves had recently been around so we had some good trails to set up on. As a bonus, we had some luck with the marten sets too. #wolftrapping #martentrapping #furtrapping #trapline
Looks like alot of fun Grant, at least you had a good bunch of martens. My first time watching tell Tila Tami and I said hi. Miss you both.
@@jessestone1822 I will. Get ur butt up here and come for a trapping tour.
Excellent looking video. Beautiful marten catches. All the best on hooking up some of those wolves. Looks really promising from all the activity of the trail. Keep safe out there.
@@trapperfurever thank you. We have actually connected with 4 wolves already this season. Was before I planned to do some youtube so I only have a few still pictures. I plan to make some short videos soon with some footage from the past. Thanks for the comment.
Wow, those are some pretty neat expanded metal boxes.
@@macculling thanks. I wanted something that would last.
@@GAPTRaX We're experimenting with short chunks of culvert for our wolverine sets this year. Be nice to leave them out and not need to worry about bears.
I also have a trapping channel and take students out to my trapline. I just came across your channel and you have a new subscriber!
@@deadpinecollective i have watched your channel a lot. Probably most of the videos. You definitely head out lots and have lots of opportunities to make content.

@@sheldonwinsor4037 thanks for checking it out.
Good stuff man thanks for posting..... subbed
Thank you.
Great video! Reminds me of my boyhood trapping muskrats! Are you concerned at all about touching your snares with your bare hands? Thanks again for a great and snowy video!
@@donaldnorth3714 i find I’m not very good at maintaining a clean pair of gloves so my bare hands are usually a better option. Thanks for the comments.
Nice catch, hope to be running a line after Christmas, with a snowmobile
I hope you can get out there too. Thanks.
Looks like fun just found your channel
@@artlehrer7085 That’s great. Just started the channel a couple days ago.
@@GAPTRaX will keep in touch
Nice video Grant!
Thanks Mo. learning a lot about the editing process. Which then makes you realize that the content creation needs work too. 😃
@@GAPTRaX Youll find ways to record content that makes the editing much faster and easier! But Great start! Looking forward to more!!!
Wow. I just found your channel. Where are you located? Thanks.
@@daveenns1119 we are in North Central British Columbia near Prince George.
You’re hat is awesome, what kind of fur is it made out of?
@@jeffreymizer775 it’s beaver fur. From a hide my uncle tanned around 40 years ago and my wife made the hat a couple years back.
What are you doing with these animals you Trap. I was born in raised in Alalska my dad was a Trapper but back then you could make a small living at it in the winter. I thought the fur trade did not exist anymore so what are you trapping for?
The fur trade is still active. The furs are harvested, processed and shipped to auctions.
Because its a lifestyle besides being legal moral and ethical.
The fur trade has always been alive and active. Thanks to TV shows like Yellowstone, the felt cowboy hat is extremely popular. Felt is made from beaver pelts. The hatter market has always kept the fur market alive.
