- This is an insane burger challenge! This Grim reaper burger has claimed many during it's existence. In fact, there have been over 800 attempts to defeat this monster burger... with only a few winners, am I (Joel Hansen) able to defeat this almost undefeated burger challenge? With a name like Grim Reaper I was expecting it to be crazy spicy too...🔥 Size-wise, it actually looked totally doable for you from the start. Though the meat looked a little undercooked for my taste.
I love medium rare for a steak but that medium rare burger looks way too raw for me, burger has to be fully cooked for me, no red or pink 🤢

As long as the meat is 80/20 it is perfectly safe to eat it medium rare . In Canada you do not have a choice it has to be cooked medium well at the very least .Saying that most places here the meat is 60/40 or 70/30 at best..
I agree! I'm always sketchy about burgers that are too pink inside. That's the problem with these burger challenges it's gonna be hard to cook a big ass burger through. But after seeing Joel eat that "Worst Burger Challenge" in NY there's no doubt in my mind that he's a Champ and not of this earthly plain...
After seeing Joel finish a 13lb burger in about a half hour , this should be an appetizer.
It's funny how he says he hopes to be part of the list when we all know that he's going to easily make that list. LoL... But it's cool that he never assumes that he's going to beat the challenge.

Hi Joel. But have to say..only 5 did this out of 800?? Some how tgats very hard for me to swallow. Honestly..I. not a compettiveceater..n I could do this challenge. No offense. Very easy challenge..5 minutes in joel..you only had tge bun. N som r onion rings left..lol.

Just an fyi .. Fried Eggs are cooked
"Sunny side up" - cooked on one side with super runny yolk
"Over easy" - cooked both sides with runny yolk.
"Over medium" - cooked both sides with mostly cooked yolk with a little runny yolk.
"Over hard" - is cooked on both sides with a fully cooked yolk.
My personal favorite is over easy... Gotta have that runny yolk!! Haha but great vid as always joel keep killing it!!

This place is open, sadly there is nothing else to do in this town. There are other places in State College, PA (about an hour drive from Denn'y in Clearfield, PA. The catch with Denny's is that you can not pick anything off, or request anything special - what you see is what you get.
