Chinese Democracy is a great album. I never really realized Axl's range in his voice to pull the song "This I Love" off. So I guess Seymour was good for something. To throw a party with drugs in the house and a child upstairs tells me all I need to know about Miss Seymour. And I think Axl Rose really loved that child too. So if he did get pissed off it was well deserved. But you don't go beating the crap out of any woman. All that will do is get you a new set of braclets. And make you be known as the woman beater for life and possibly jail time and that is something he doesn't need. It's so great to see the original 4 members straight and sober. Although Axl & Dizzy still seem to drink alcohol. I hope that's all they do. But they look and sound great with the " Not in this Lifetime" tour line up. I hope they can keep it together long enough to pump 1 more album out. Thank God they are still alive to do what they do best, and that's play live.

The album took so long because Axe wasn't going to put out S**t. Also he was pre-occupied with what ever the hell he wanted to do! Chinese is a really decent album it just took too long to release. If it was released late 90s when it was more or less finished it would have been raved about

I’d be willing to bet This I Love was written around the time of the Paris pay per view show in June of 1992. If you remember, Axl was having problems with Stephanie around the time of the show and he even dedicated Double Talkin Jive to Warren Beatty at that show who was rumored to be having an affair with her while GnR were on the European leg of that tour.

People have the right to form their own opinions of individuals but what Guns n Roses fans need to learn is that sending Stephanie Seymour and her family hate and harassing her is immature and stupid. I see fans deliberately going into her Instagram tag to leave hateful messages on posts about her. Nobody will ever know 100% what conspired between these two and no fan knows any party personally. They have both moved on, it's time GnR fans do the same.

I never thought Axl would sell out and remove songs from previous GnR classics.. because someone ‘misunderstood’ them. An artist NEVER compromises his art. And you never remove songs from classic albums. That’s like removing Highway to Hell from Highway to Hell. He lost more respect from me.

Agreed. GNR was a monument to no apologies. Axl really turned into a soyboy. It really pissed me off when he brought out a Trump piniata at a show. He needs to worry more about making music and less about politics. Lost a lot of respect for him.

Stephanie was never going to stay with him. He may have loved her but she used him for the publicity. No excuse ever is good enough for hitting a woman. I wish he could have found someone that truly loved him. He did get soft in his political stance removing his songs from further releases of the albums and that’s too bad that he caved. That’s a disappointment to me. Also, I read more of the transcript posted above. It talks about Axl casting spells? 😮 I’m starting to wish I would have just kept enjoying the music and stayed out of the GnR rabbit hole.
