If you get hardwood floor acclimation right, your hardwood floors will last a lifetime. If you get hardwood floor acclimation wrong, it will ruin your hardwood floors in the first year if not sooner. Sir, I want to thank you, as a flooring store owner, for your solid advice.
One thing you hit on, that no one else ever talks about, is your local climate. My climate is far different from yours. A four hour drive from me is a substantially different climate too. The Great Lakes change temps and humidity.
No one on you tube seems to understand the importance of climate accurate advice.
Yes, there are the normal rules, but then there are climate specific ones.
I make customers/builders invest in de-humidification on new builds, regardless of HVAC. The paint and drywall folks love me. I also control the humidity in my warehouse.
I own several moisture meters of varying price tags. They are all pinless and seem to match each other. In my opinion, pinned meters are more accurate, but the damage factor doesn't meet my needs. A kiln doesn't use pinless.
In fairness, I've learned some of my lessons the hard way. It's cheaper to educate and fix and sometimes say "NO" to a customer.

Had oak sitting acclimating with the bundles cut open and stacked loosely.The planks warped. Is this because the bundles were cut? Some warped sideways. Also a lot of tongues now don't fit in the grooves. Cause? Any solution?
