@ScottStovall: Hunsaker uses a powder coat process now and it holds up a lot better than the engine paint did. They also have an all stainless model so no finish to worry about at all. And super easy to clean after a pork cook.

What’s it’s like lifting that charcoal basket into there while it’s lit?
Just make sure you have the right kind of gloves, but the vortex plate insulates you pretty well.
