It's not the MC, but one of the other girls who calls another girl out on this. In the beginning, Yamato (MC) confessed his feelings to the this girl (can't remember her name) but she said that she'll accept his feelings once he defeats her. Years later, Yamato does but she can't return his feelings as she only sees him as a little brother. The other girls hear and decide to win him over. As in, they're perfectly okay with whomever wins Yamato's love.
However, Yamato remains actively devoted to winning over the main girl's affection who would get extremely jealous when the other girls risk their own safety just to protect him. One girl calls her out saying that since she rejected Yamato she has no right to act jealous. That when she finally declares that Yamato belongs to her and that no other girl can have him.
