- Want to learn to speak Chinese like Black Dynamite? Who is Black Dynamite, anyway? Watch on.
You need to SPEAK the language as much as possible, in addition to memorizing sentences. The way to do that is best in person, or, if you don't have any native speakers around, via a website called Italki:
www.italki.com/
Don't worry about embarrassing yourself. Embarrass yourself till kingdom come cuz that's the only way to get good: just as with exercise, no pain no gain.
Again, no paid endorsements for any of these products, just stuff I've used and have found useful.

"I don't care if you're embarrasing yourself, it just like an exercise! If you don't have pain while you're doing it, if it doesn't hurt to do it then you're not doing anything, you're not learning anything"
Whoa nicely put! Thanks!
no pain no gain baby
@@ryanbaileyboxing for sure!
"or do you want to be a noob like bradley cooper?" best line ever
You're probably the most optimistic language learner I've ever seen
And now he’s the most famous too 😂
Memorizing a lot of sentences have taken my English to another level. I feel with so much confident to speak with partnert by using Italki.
what kind of sentence did you used to memorized ? I'm leaning french and I can understand about 90-95% that what they're saying to me already, but I'm still struggle with speaking
I want to be like black dynamite.
Zairem Renthlei Yes, yes you do!
我是黑炸药!
hahah loved that example
@@ariinbeijing hi! Which kind of program do you use to put the subtitles during the video ? Thanks
This is SO TRUE. I would listen to SO much Spanish when I lived in Arizona and in Los Angeles for so many years, and I got good at listening and comprehending a lot. BUT.....it didn't do anything to help me speak it until I had to try it myself. And LOL! on 'go head and embarrass yourself while talking' --- great advice! Forget the ego and just do it. The security guard at work was helping me speak it, and I accidentally said something one day and his eyes opened wide and he said, "Ok, no, don't say it like that." Then he shook his head and laughed and said, "Don't EVER say that to anyone". Apparently, I said something very embarrassing!
2:19 that's the exact situation I'm in with Indonesian.
I was born and raised in Australia, so obviously I grew up speaking English as my native language.
But my parents spoke Indonesian all the time, and so I got really good at listening and understanding Indonesian.
I can understand most of what is said in a daily conversation in Indonesian, but when I try to speak it, the words just don't come to me as easily.
You're not alone! I'm also Indonesian and living abroad. Because of that, I grew up mostly learning English and I even would read books, speak to my friends and write in a diary all in English. I still try to do a little bit of learning Indonesian by recording myself talking in it and reading through posts of other people learning it in HiNative. I'm currently trying to improve on learning Arabic but Bahasa Indonesia is a big target language for me to learn, even though it's supposed to be my native language, lol.
Im in the same situation as you as a US born mexican with spanish
I have the same problem, I am born in Spain and I went to Belgium and my parents speak arabic I understand, I speak it very well but sometimes I speak like a child like doesn't even talk properly I get so embarrassed if someone says "you can't talk properly." I just don't know what to say it's also in my school they speak dutch I also speak it but not fluently or I don't understand it fluently for me it's an big problem like how can I succeed school when I don't understand or speak it fluently?
@@iwashere583 we can practice speaking Indonesian if you would like :D
Speaking is what I'm struggling with. I literally understand Portuguese fluently but when I speak. Suddenly words don't exist.
steps to learn language
1.immerse
2.lern and memorise examples
3.speak

First guy who has been genuinely helpful and has actually learned the language he is using as example I'm trying to take up french and have been using Duolingo and it has done nothing I always think of Spanish hopefully the science behind your ways will help
I have to say my favorite way to learn a language is to just speak it, I use tandem and hellotalk and a lot of people want to talk to me, I'll be honest it's a bit awkward because too many people message me, but I speak Chinese more and more and I feel I speak a lot better than I did.
another informative video and great little pearls of humor....the Bradley Cooper vs Black Dynamite thing was great....lol...lol.
First of all you referenced BLACK DYNAMITE. That ALONE...You're alright with me.
Lol 💕
It's taken me an embarrassingly long time to figure out how to speak in a language I don't know well. The key is to mine sentences from the things YOU say, think and write often. The easiest way to do this is to use whatever journal you normally write your opinions/thoughts in. If you don't have one you can easily start one. Because in the moment, when you're trying to figure out what to say in a foreign language, suddenly you can't remember the stuff you normally talk about?? (my experience)
I have a 1/2 Turkish friend who can only listen and read Turkish. But he's fluent in English, French, and Tunisian Arabic - at age 13.
Im guessing he is from Tunisia. All of that is fairly common (minus the Turkish) in Tunisia. Good friend of mine is from Tunisia and all three languages are used quite often in the country. That is a great thing for your friend though, because he has the mindset of "I already know more than one language" he can learn another.
Very good content. Simple and short videos. Thank you!
Cool tips! Thank you!
I dunno how I ended up here but man... your confidence is essentially Spartan. Hope it brushes off on me.
師哥超厲害耶
謝謝您的啟示!!!
Amazing video👏
If you ever need a Cantonese speaking partner feel free to send me a PM. I actually wouldn't mind getting some Cantonese practice in myself. I'm a native Cantonese speaker, but being born here in the states I really only use it around my parents. Wouldn't mind having someone else to speak with.
Haha, thanks, would love to chat!
For me, free language partners rarely ever work...people never respond to you or they don't follow through with plans...they don't seem to be serious on there. How do you seem to have so much luck on italki? What are you doing differently? Haha
yeah, i agree with you answer me please i wanna talk english i wanma practice please!
Finding someone with the same level in the language you want to learn/ exchange in helps. Also don't find a partner who only wants you for their ielts test...because As soon as they've done it they will vanish lol.
I just pay for them on italki. Just like going to the gym, you get what you pay for - consistency
Try hellotalk
For real , me too
The way I learn japanese is by filling notebooks with kanji characters. I am slowly going insane but it’s worth it.
Sounds like a good idea 😹
Thanks man your videos are really helpful. These are some really great ideas!
This video made my day
lo interesante de todo es que le busca solución a todo eres un gran tipo se nota que vas en un crecimiento exponencial exitos hermano
thank you
Speaking the language is what I am missing. I am trying to break out my shell (kinda of a hermit).
Gotta like & subscribe. You gave me massive motivation to embarrass and shit myself in the pants
Hello :) I saw your videos where you speak Chinese. Truly spectacular.
Congrats. My dream is to learn chinese, too. I already have a bunch of
anki, but i would have liked to create a bunch on a drama or film via
subs2srs. You use it? if you could upload a video on how to make anki
deck from a movie and creating a deck with the scenes of the film and
with the subtitles? thank you very much. The videos of the reactions are
spectacular. keep it up
It was pretty coincidental that you showcased the Limitless, ‘cause I just watched it yesterday!
This is so true. I can understand 100% of what you are saying, but damn... I can't speak fluently. I really need to go abroad spend some quality time speaking.
Ur an angel thank U very much
I am laughing at black dynamite saying, "tha ma te !" 🤣 by the way, in term of speaking accent, I can speak up to 10 different languages, I am master in pronounciation 😁 although, what I truly understand only 4 though 😖
Hey man, found your channel when I saw your funny video about the different accents, starting with the British reporter. I tried Itaki but right now it seems it's only trying to get users to buy a tutor. Any advice on platforms to just meet Japanese people? Thank you!
Do you offer tutoring classes via Skype?. I would love your help tackling this language. I only have 8 months speaking Mandarin. I would love your expertise.
What did you do exactly? How did you reach fluency in English?
Man, I'm jacked up now! I wanna be a badass!!!
Still watching in 2021
So I have to memorize phrase, sentences and use it to speak to a native speaker right?
I want to be a bad ass!
Thank you. The language that I'm trying is Spanish. There's some other languages I would to learn after I become fluent in speaking Spanish. I would also like to learn to speak Mandarin.
@Eternal Learner I can make a few sentences in Spanish, but not communication yet. I can't roll by r's either. I'm learning Spanish on the
Duolingo app. It's taking me a long time for me too learn it because my family mostly speaks English, but I'll try to learn it the nest I can before I can learn other foreign languages.
How is the journey 2 years later
Yes, by speaking . . . with actual human beings whose native language is the one you are trying to learn. And then listening to their responses.
HelloTalk is another great app
I am hypnotised by your beauty.
谢谢
This is true, im vietnamese but i can listen and understand almost all of it but i think of the words as vietnamese not think of it in english in my head, but since i never practiced speaking i cant do it. I know the idea and grammar, but i just cant speak it 😂
Lmaooo. Back when I was learning Japanese (by force) my parents forced me to speak and I was like “BITCH I DONT EVEN KNOW THE SAY HI HOW THE SHIT??” Yeah... I shouldve listened.
Is so fucking good!
Id like to learn english sign language- do you speak sign languages?
how much weight did you put on going down the Chinese every day
你把我杀掉啊?你来呀!你来呀!
Do you learn words before you start trying to talk
Black dynamite wants to be like me.
I think this was good, man. I am currently in the UK and feel bad when I didn't understand others, while other foreigner understand most of the stuffs, you know, the vocabulary. Maybe I should just embarrass myself amap.
Upea videomies im Tryna opi suomea, vaikka osaan kirjoittaa suomeksi, osaan vain puhua joitain sanoja, mutta sen parantuminen jatka hyvää työtä
I ALWAYS embarrass myself at work. My primary language is English, but at work I only speak Spanish, and I don't have the best grammar in Spanish and I mumble my speech and worst of all I have a really bad stutter. I've been speaking Spanish all my life, at this point I don't know what to do. Any tips?
Damn i embarrassed myself the other day at work helping a customer in spanish I was speaking too fast for myself and misspoke a bunch of words and stuttered

那麼你的中文說的跟black dynamite一樣好嗎?

Am learning Dutch
Me too!
May i ask how old you are?
I want to be like black dynamite
Where I live there’s no one who speaks Mandarin Chinese. I live in a very rural area so I’m going to be using the italki very often. thank you for the website recommendation.
I like the idea of italki a lot, but I feel like the teachers on there always have a laggy internet connection and it's much more difficult to understand broken up speech when it's not in your native tongue
I can’t focus at the video. All i see is your face. Gosh you’re cute 😭😅
OMG 4:15 my name is Alina?!?!?!
Bradley cooper is rapping
Nice sneaky South Park reference非常好
I can't even speak my own foreign language lol!

Go watch "How to Speak Foreign Languages Without Talking to People" on Robin MacPherson's channel. I instantly voted it up.
I LOVE that Robin MacPherson acknowledges that everybody learns things in DIFFERENT WAYS.
He BUSTS the tired old unoriginal MYTHS that YOU are pushing.
“ speaking mandarin to bad guys is what he does because he’s Black dynamite 🧨. 👦🏽 “
我可以跟你說廣東話。
shirley lee 所以?
I'm pretty sure that the original AJATT method says you don't have to practice output at all. According to those who've mastered AJATT, output will come naturally to you after you've spent all that time in input. You've got part 3 wrong.
Learning a language just by speaking.. Well how am I gonna learn to write and read in the language, when the language is Japanese? That doesn't have the same alfabet like ours? If u wanna learn a language then u better learn the alfabet and how to write, and that's where speaking also comes in.
Don't mind me I'd say that it depends. You can learn to speak fluently without knowing how to read. Like for example, a baby learns to speak before learning to read.
retro cactus yeah and it makes sense learning how to speak it fluently. But I also want to learn how to write and read.
Learning to read the kanji characters is not as hard as many 初心者 complain. It just takes lots of time as there are way too many of them.
Choosing one of the extremely difficult languages for native English speakers is badass. I do the same thing, only thing different is that I choose the Samurai/Ninja language Japanese instead.
Oh the first chinese you spoke was that Cantonese? Couldn’t understand it. I understood the second time you spoke Cantonese..
I’ll just speak my 11 languages…
r u xiomanyc?
I think he is he looks and speaks just like him
1. get underpants
3. Make profit
I don’t have anyone who is Japanese where I live Soo ...?
So watch the video again
“It’s possible to be really good at listening but not so much in speaking”
one word..
*me*
Bro I gotta tell you those dudes in those movies? Just actors. Yeah they didn't really learn the languages like that because they're not real. Just thought you should know..
Nope your are way to young and seems like your repeating some not so good advice from someone else who was pretending to know though. lol
Uhh he’s learned dozens of language but follow whatever advice you want ig
I understand some of your Cantonese but your accent is bit off. 🤣
Jesus loves you repent and trust in him and you will be saved !
