"flat is justice" i see you are a man of culture anyway thanks for this video, ive been improving just backwards recently so hopefully doing the stuff mentioned in the video will help
A little note at 2:26 t spin factories are surprisingly useful. ST and LST get you to try more “freestyle” t spins; mostly in the overhang. OJ / LO appear in st stacking and can actually be pretty useful, so are the other ones like sl and zj. Openers can be useful. The tsd after the tss in stickspin is a pretty useful “donation” in mid game. DT and BT cannon are considered mid game setups but learning the opener gradually helps with learning the mid game setup, so are TD’s. There’s also a opener called reliable tsd. Though there’s no free styling to it, just like stickspin, there are some good donations to keep track of Other than that, great video! I can see the practices helping out a lot
I like the way you use what u learned from the openers as tools to improve your midgame :DD A lot of players recently (especially the new ones), sort of just learn an opener or two and just stopped there. They memorize what and how the opener works but if their opener didn't kill off their opponent, they're sort of stuck and start clearing singles and doubles until one of them tops out. If only they could do what you did, and understand the basics of how tspins work D:
Remember: you're not poke/CZ/smolfeesh/(other top players). You cannot instantly mimic their skills overnight. Play more and learn from them instead, and more importantly, understand why they do the things they do, and not just doing it for the sake of it, preventing yourself from doing tricks that might take too long and leave you vunlenrable to a spike
This video actually helped activate some of the neurons in my brain, really nice video mate Also thanks for the Chinese subtitles, I can actually use them to practice reading and learning new vocabulary
Great video! I find 300 blocks on 100L to be too hard though, whether due to my patience or not, and I’m at a pretty high rating whether I downstack a lot or not. I can do both fine, but 100L cheese is a lot harder for me personally than versus cheese. I’d recommend playing APM survival for something like that more honestly, or even just saying “ditch openers and play normal versus at 1/2 - 3/4ths speed”
i find practicing slow cheese can help improve your downstack vision, even if you're using over 300 pieces. If you carefully thought it through and made a huge "diaostack" out of it, i'd say you've improved by a bit even if u mess up ur remaining run. For me, I saw improvement in my survival mode after practicing slow cheese :o
Another thing I recommend for trying is doing typing test it helps increase your speed and instinks a bit it at least helped me when my school blocked both jstris and tetrio when i was in high school and it nearly jumped me from high S to nearly SS but now I'm back to low S+
your editing is absolutely hilarious. Do you watch any other players when practicing cheese? My fast cheese is 300 - 350 blocks and slow cheese around 240-300, but I know I definitely miss efficient solutions (or things I'm not even aware of) really often. And slow cheese is not really the same as "survival instinct" because when trying to survive, I can't play slowly unless there's a combo available.
I think I’ve only ever watch someone else play cheese when I hit a mind block myself :o Also imo after practicing slow cheese, I think players will find better solutions in near death situations but it’ll still depend on their familiarity
My question is why the rank system works like it does in _The New Tetris_ for the N64. I got over 200 lines in a solo marathon playthrough, yet my rank went down, even though it went up for clearing fewer lines, which makes me believe that rank is just an arbitrary number.
Also, learn playstyles (and their counters) Most players have 1 or 2 main styles and seeing thru them makes things go way smoother (Im not sure how theyre called but ik many examples)
I loved the video! As a past X-rank, I can say that these tips are well on point and they are taught in a super entertaining way! Looking forward to seeing ur other content

Why is no one talking about F rank not being a thing, and all the weird things here 0:21
