He really connected the dots for us, we NEED a guy like him, someone that is willing to sacrifice and do anything for the team while being a outstanding teammate himself.
With josh Richardson and James Johnson we have some good defenders now. I'm ready for the season. And they are both all around players Luka and KP are going to loves these guys.
Watching this vid, I can't for the life of me figure out why Miami and the Wolves traded him. I cannot find any weaknesses in his game. He does it all on offense and defense. He brings everything to the Mavs and I am SO glad we got him!! He's so much more than just an 'enforcer' and this video shows why. I'm buying his jersey asap! My First Five; Luka THJ James KP WCS
I can already picture how mavs are this season and it's scary. When you combine the number 1 rated offense with stingy, physical defense.. that is going to be a problem for many teams
Offense gotta stay consistent for that to happen though, cause when we faced clippers in the playoffs I was mad cause we might could've still beat them even with the ejection & injuries if the people that help get that offensive record in reg. Season was consistent... Maxi Kleber got to playoffs and all of the sudden it was like a lid was on the basket for him. @@Physics_Dude We’ll see man. I’m a fan of Maxi too but he really didn’t start much during the season. Pretty much began starting in the bubble to defend Kawhi. Defensively, Johnson is better than Maxi. He can defend multiple positions. And personally, I would rather have Johnson defending Kawhi or LeBron than I do Maxi. And he’s definitely a better as a passer than Maxi. You can run an offense with him in a few possessions in a game. Like I said in my original comment, Johnson (to me) is as good as Green. Johnson just wasn’t as lucky to play with the Splash Brothers and KD. The Heat only traded him because it essentially was a cap casualty. He went into camp last season out of shape, then had a few injuries and lost his spot with Heat in the starting rotation that they decided to move him to Minnesota. But if you ask any Heat fan, they’ll tell you Johnson could’ve helped a little in defending LeBron and AD in the finals. I saw some Heat bloggers write how they were hoping OKC would buy him out of his contract so the Heat could sign him again. He’s loved in MIA. He’s a leader in the locker room. He was a Captain with the Heat. When he got traded to Minnesota he played really really well for his role there. And to me, he’s the perfect type of PF that KP needs next him. I kept seeing some Mavs fans on Twitter say they wanted Milsap. Well I guess they didn’t watch him in the playoffs because he’s washed. Johnson is way better than Milsap today.
@@Physics_Dude and Powell should not start if KP is healthy because KP played at his best at Center. I can definitely see him starting in the beginning of the season because KP won’t be ready to play. So I do expect him to start or Cauley Stein but I still think Johnson could start. We’ll see how Johnson plays in training camp and see what Carlisle decides to do.

If so, I hope he gets back to his old self because he was always a good defensive player with the Heat.
