Biggest game time decision lies with Chip & Ryan. Need a creative offensive game plan which takes advantage of our dynamic RBs and WRs. Get the ball to them in space … on the perimeter and downfield. Only run between the tackles a few times to keep Tennessee defense honest. Play to your strengths and acknowledge your weaknesses.
If the timeless cliché' about the game being won or lost in the trenches is true, it make sense that you would evaluate a football coach primarily on his teams performance on the LOS, and in the case of the Buckeye's the O line in particular. Since Day's arrival the Buckeye's big guys have not been able to consistently execute running plays in zone blocking schemes, often allowing penetration into the backfield, TFLs, and the LOS often ending in the backfield as noted by Urban Meyer on BTN. The bad habits brought on by over-reliance on zone schemes have bled over to non-zone plays. The Buckeye's zone blocking run plays look like a kind of half-assed pass protection where the technique that seems to be taught is to stand-up, let the defenders under pad level, getting set back on their heels, thus surrendering leverage right after the snap of the ball. Our guys just seem to be content with shielding or getting in the way, not staying low and exploding into a defender and driving him off the ball.
6:43 a player who is not playing well going to the bench has never been a bad idea and putting someone else in who is also good enough to be on the team is not a bad idea. Bad idea was waking up listening to this podcast.
OSU needs to roll Will Howard out of the pocket and give him the option to throw to wide open receivers or take off running like Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills. No need to sit in the pocket and get sacked when Tennessee’s strength is their interior D line similar to Michigan. Agree that rotating the O line is just plain dumb. How are these coaches paid millions of dollars for coaching???

I don’t like the idea at rotating lineman but when your down so many lineman what choice do you have .. if my job was on the line I would do everything I could to win even trick plays onside kicks etc…
Man hell no don’t rotate no OL it messes the chemistry up…bring him in for like 12 package or like a fullback for extra blocking This ain’t the game to be trying that
Day and Kelly have had three weeks to figure the O-Line out and a rotation of linemen says you don't have anyone you trust. All season long there just hasn't seemed to be any inking of who or what they are; this team has no identity. Altering your O-Line before a game of this magnitude is asinine and Day and Kelly are over thinking this so-called solution. This team is screwed if this "plan" doesn't work.

The Buckeyes have started slow all season. If they fall behind Tennessee in the first quarter things could get ugly fast.
The Michigan loss was inexcusable for the OSU coaching staff especially Ryan Day and Chip Kelley.

So manny are now vicariously coaching the Buckeyes
OSU needs a 2014,2021 playoff game type energy to run this gauntlet starting tommorow

The Cowboys of the 70s and 80s rotated guards every other play for Tom Landry, in order to get the play in.
