It might’ve taken crosshair a long time to figure out what the empire was really doing and it represented but he at least found out the truth before it was too late.
I’m more relieved that Crosshair did apologize for the mistakes he’s made, there still may be doubts and concerns right now but given there current situation I’m sure the brotherhood between Crosshair and the rest of Clone Force 99 will be back to the way it was before Crosshair left with the empire. Only time will tell.
More importantly, Mayday's death. Crosshair was more of a "mission objective" guy, but the more he grew close to his brothers, the more he could realize the inhumane atrocities to those similar to him. In that case, with the Imperial Lieutenant's behavior towards Crosshair and the clones only strengthened Crosshair's and Mayday's bond. Especially because Crosshair could more easily relate to Mayday with how annoying, unhelpful, and unjust the Imperial Lieutenant was.
Not gonna lie, seeing Hunter and Crosshair navigate their relationship and reconcile with one another in this episode for the first time hit pretty close to home since it reminds me of a recent rough patch I’ve had with my dad. Watching Crosshair (the reserved and unyielding loner of the family dynamic) open up, apologise to Hunter and the crew, and own up to his mistakes was the final push that spurred me on to reach out and make amends to my old man. We’ve since patched things up and I can’t help but owe it to our favourite eagle eyed bad batcher for the inspo 💪🎯❤️
*Crosshair* : I've...done things. I've made mistakes. *Hunter* : I have regrets too, Crosshair. All we can do is keep trying to be better and who knows, there just might be hope for us yet.

Finally, Crosshair is open about his feelings and emotions about how he feels towards everything he's done. Throughout Crosshair's journey when with the Empire; he was very conflicted. Thanks to Cody and Mayday. They opened his eyes to reality of the Empire. But here we see a side to him that is heavyhearted about what he said, what he did to his squad and to Omega. I really hope he doesn't die by the end. AMAZING character development.
@@smmlibary7832 That's kinda the point of redemption arcs. Not forgetting the past, but accepting previous actions and committing to be better/atoning for the damage they've done.
Fitting that Crosshair has his turning point, redemption, and his reconciling at this exact outpost. Even in death, Mayday's effect hasn't been lost to us. It is at this outpost where he failed to save one of his brothers, this time, he was able to. This show really has gotten better with each passing season!
Man, I still enjoyed The Bad Batch alot but I felt pretty bad for Crosshair after all the suffering The Empire put him through, but atleast he made amends after his return lol.
This was a very great moment between Hunter & Crosshair. At times, I kind of felt like they had a rivalry like that of Leonardo vs Raphael from TMNT. I mean like the leader of the group vs the angry rebel of the group type of rivalry. Except Raphael never went over to the Foot Clan's side, at least not in the incarnations/continuities I'm familiar with, while Crosshair went over to the Empire before everything that happened to him recently. If the Bad Batch does go to rescue more Clones, I hope this'll lead up to a Clone Rebellion, sort of like what we saw in Star Wars Battlefront II's (2005) story mode in the Legends canon, where there really was a Storm Troopers (led by Boba Fett) vs Clone Troopers battle, except it most likely won't be on Kamino in Disney canon, since the Cloning Facility was destroyed at the end of the 1st season.
Ahh teenage mutant ninja turtles I thought the situation felt familiar to something but I couldn't tell what my subconscious was thinking of! In some live action thing raphael goes off on his own for a bit too right? And yeah storm troopers vs. a clone rebellion would be awesome to see but possibly very sad if the clones end up getting annihilated, I'm kind of nervous that the show makers are gonna punch us in the gut...
I am glad he returned to the team again. Unlike others, I personally and figured that he will not be a villain, now thanks to s2 (which gave a lot of hints), I was right. I’m glad that is settled. It’s going to be like old times again for them.
In truth the spaceship has a toilet in the rear and its well documented that on every takeoff they pull a lever on flight deck which trips a catch and underneath a flap opens sending the thousands of gallons of everyone out the back. This spaceship taking off, you saw nothing.

A lot of the music used in this episode was renditions of previous tracks from the Outpost, the ones I recognized were Mayday, Outpost, and Raiding the Base
I wish Tech could have seen this.

At least Crosshair made amends with Bad Batch after reuniting with them.

Yep. If the Empire treated clones better, there would be less defections and maybe the terrorist rebellion would’ve lost

Absolutely

So, they came to Barton IV so Crosshair could give Mayday and his men a proper burial. Mayday is the only clone who helped Crosshair to open his eyes.
Agreed. Mayday’s death was the final straw for Crosshair.

What about the civilians he killed. He literally let one of his men flamethrower refugees, I don’t think you can come back from that
