- This episode delves into the concept of narrative theory as it applies to personal fashion. It explains how storytelling is intrinsic to human thought and planning, and how it can be harnessed to shape and refine one's personal style. Through practical exercises, listeners are encouraged to evaluate their favorite wardrobe pieces, write narratives about the hypothetical owners of these items, and identify connections or discrepancies between their dream style, daily outfits, and existing style toolbox. The goal is to achieve a harmonious and expressive personal style that truly reflects the individual. The episode emphasizes creativity, conceptual blending, and the importance of a cohesive wardrobe that aligns with one's authentic self.

I am a narrative therapist and personal image consultant, my favorite work is combining the two, so I am thrilled with this episode!
Sounds like a perfect match!!
My narrative is a girl leader in an alternative world similar to "The Flintstones" but elegant. There are representations of their cosmogony in their clothing, tribal prints, furs (velvet, faux fur, vinyl, animal print). I don't know why I thought of something so absurd. 🥺 But I like it!🎉
People in my Facebook group have already started doing the module and it’s been amazing to see! It really helps confirm if you’re on the right track, plus it’s just a fun creative exercise!
The closing statement about being objective is something i need to work on. 😮
It’s a great thing to work on 👍🏻
I was looking for a video about this very specific topic about a year ago, so I’m glad to see someone is talking about it!
Hope you enjoyed it!
As always, super interesting episode ❤ the exercise of switching between focus and defocus is not that simple, but I started it when you talked about the pillars and I think I'm making progress. The hardest part for me is trying to be as much objective as I can, but I have had in these days some a-ha moments that are worth diggin. Thank you for your sharing your expertise with us!
I'm so happy you're getting those "aha" moments, that's amazing! And glad you liked the episode!
