I have a 4080Super and I have problems spotting players at Long Range without Scoping in, for some Reason the Buildings are low Textured and my object Detals is set to maximum. I still cant spot players in Windows without Scoping in

this includes seeing them from further, seeing their pixels in more detailed scenery, etc.. the way LOD renders in DAYZ youd be surprised how many times you might have missed someone because they didnt render properly due yo your settings
Is the new terrain visibility setting the same as terrain detail? Still put it on low? Because my view distance in the folder is set to 10000 when I have terrain visibility on extreme. So I assume I don't want that on poor but probably not extreme either? I don't know, lol. Anything else different since the new settings were added? Thanks!
One small remark is that you can't see the changes standing in the middle of nowhere after you turn off ambient occlusion, although it adds a lot to the immersion if you're in a village or similar. It impacts FPS, though, so you should experiment with it while standing in a town.
- one of the settings was called "viewdistance", and we increased it. so that would be to see further. - the other was "scenecomplexity" and we increased that. that gives us more detailed scene rendering at range. (using eye zoom and spotting a guy in a window 300 meters away instead of the window being a non-rendered blur) - i think the other setting was related to shadows and we lowered that.. helps game run better using less complex shadows.
Wild that the devs have such weak software, many games with higher FPS are ran on an X Series and PS5. So the option to not give new gen consoles video enhancement isn't an issue with the consoles themselves, it's an issue on their end. For the other New Gen Players wondering 👍🏻
Hey bro, what are your Nvidia settings in 3D panel for DayZ? I've been messing around with it alot but would be cool to hear what you're using for better performance or visability/antialiasing. I have MFAA - turned on. I think it makes the antialiasing a little less blurry, not sure about the fps.

Documents - Dayz - find your settings folder - and should be good to go. If you are following those steps correctly and it’s still not there that’s strange. It was just that simple for me :( hope you can figure it out!
The one that has the same settings is the one called "Bogard%20Axel_settings.DayZProfile" That's how mine is called, the one in your documents will have your name
thats very weird and never seen that before. try messing around with the aliasing a little more and just find a balance of visuals and performance that you like
@@KillerDolos do you by chance have nvidia overlay enabled? If so, the new update doesn’t like overlay. To fix, disable overlay, boot up DayZ and set the settings to your fit, then re-enable nvidia overlay.

The game IS over a decade old at this point. Besides, I think the way it looks is one of the things that makes DayZ as charming as it is. DayZ's graphics are hard to describe. They look old, but great at the same time. If you can run the game with everything maxed out it really does look quite nice.

If you´d know a single thing about this game, it´d be that you *never* play on "max settings" because it puts you in disadvantage. But even on "max" settings (without blur, since it´s the most useless setting to exist in videogames, *ever)* it still looks like crap, even with optimized shading and Nvidia settings.

Using 4080 super and ryzen 7800x3d.. had 100 fps and 20% usage.. with these setting 165 stable fps and 40-50% usage.. perfect!

Is the new terrain visibility setting the same as terrain detail? Still put it on low? Because my view distance in the folder is set to 10000 when I have terrain visibility on extreme. So I assume I don't want that on poor but probably not extreme either? I don't know, lol. Anything else different since the new settings were added? Thanks!

It impacts FPS, though, so you should experiment with it while standing in a town.
It’s common knowledge AO hits FPS which is why in this video aimed at PvP and Performance we turn it off and move on

Most of these settings arent appearing in my folder.

I can log in to official servers just fine. Maybe something else was changed accidentally? You can verify game files in steam library
