Tremendous work! Thank you very much! It's my favourite series so far! ^_^ To know which unit is stronger then another, I think this format is the best. The question of ressources-based combat is, while important and if possible worth a second series, in my opinion a secundary one because of population limits and the difficulty to actually have ressources-based combats. (Often and typically the Goth way, it's an about equal numbers fight at the start, that is then - but only then! - evolving: 15v15+more trickling in - flooding in for the Goths -, as soon as population slots have become available again). I like post-imp. battles, because units cannot be even more improved (except for team bonuses), this is then how it finally is. Concerning ranged units, they are always stronger if helped with micro or environment. But sometimes there is for some of those units somewhere on the map just no time to micro and no favourable environment either. I therefore really like this microless series on open field, where especially those ranged units can be surrounded. In other words, this is their minimal strength. If they beat a certain unit under these for them difficult circumstances, they'll always beat him. 15v15 is also a nice number, as it's (I think) one, that one can encounter often. Epic battles in the genre of 600v600 are a lot of fun for sure (like them a lot!), but they not precisely realistic in actual games. ;-) Nice you've really included *all* the unique units, and not "just" the castle unique units. Finishing with the flaming camel is literally finishing with firework. :-D I'm also a big fan that you always click a unit of both sides, so we can see their stats before the clash. Last but certainly not least, I also like that you write at the very beginning of the video which version of the game it is (ie which update), because of all the hidden stats (bonus damage, ROF, etc.). Thank you again for all the work/research!
I’m sorry this comment passed me by, man. Thank you very much for such a supportive comment. You just made my day. I have to keep evolving, but I’ll always have a special place in my heart for 600 vs 600 battles like I did for so many years. I’ll do equal resources as well. It’s more work, but since you guys request it to be the next series and the channel is growing so fast, I must do it. Thank you very much.

I think konnik and war elephants are the only unique units that can kill ballista elephants with equal numbers and they dont even do bonus damage. Now imagine how strong those mustve been before they got nerfed.
I know the Mangudai didn't win in their video, but I think with proper micromanagement by dodging their shots and focus-firing, they would've won. They do bonus damage against siege which Ballista Elephants are classified as after all.
just go halberdier. Halberdier has 60 bonus damage against elephants. It kill in 10 hit. Camel can't beat elephant despite its 18 bonus damage. 18 bonus is not enough to beat Elephant but Mameluke can beat with his 12 bonus damage because he has range.
@@Asterix958 Yeah, they are logical, but having backup is always a good thing against Konniks. Even though they attack at a rather slow rate and have 10 less HP, Halberdiers still have trouble against the dismounted ones due to attack power alone. You definitely don't want the dismounted ones being sent on a suicide mission into your economy if they manage to get through.
@Jahan Thakur my pleasure, early MMA rush is ok-ish but they get destroyed easily by archer early, and they can't just run away from bad fight. Also they just aren't very good for harassing like archer or scout.
If you add stirrups they are much stronger, take a look at the video of spirit of the law about civ with the strongest hussar, Bulgarian hussar with stirrups was stronger then Mongolian hussar with more hit points.
2:41 Reason why Konniks can't beat War Eliphants, not because they're high HP tanks, but because they're African eliphants. 7:07 , 11:54 While Konniks can beat Eliphant Archers & Ballista Eliphants, is not because they're have less HP than War Eliphants & but because they're Indian eliphants.
I dont even know what to rate this. This unit is just OP. You cant counter it with a single unit. You need as an example pikes for the mounted version and archers for the infantry version
If you had more samurai or cataphracs I think they'd get them Samurai bonus damage to unique and cats do damage to adjacent units (logistics i think) I haven't seen the Teutonic Knight one yet but they should win no problem
So konniks cost 60 food 70 gold and samurais cost 60 food 30 gold So equal ress it would be closer to 14 vs 21 samurais and they'd for sure take it lol But the cats are 70 food 75 gold so I don't think they'll counter as effectively as I initially thought
He currently alsondoes a equal ressources series. But amyway, equal pop is also important because in many cases in late imperial ressources doesn't matter that much amymore and whoever wins a battle with 2 same pop armies, will be the one over running the oppoments base. Ressource efficiency is more important in Castle age engagement, comparison to counter units or in a streched game when ressources especialy gold can become rare. So its good to know that your persian elephants in high numbers can overrun everything. But when countered with cost effective hellebadiers the one strike can be your last and when you lose momentum its over. So overall its quite cool to know which units are the most pop effective.

Konniks only lost to Mamaluke and Boyar really.
They also lost to war elephants and ETK but in equal numbers thats pretty much a given for any troop
