the 90's wasn't just a decade...every new day i spent in the 90's was always something new and awesome. This song played through my head frequently during that time...man, do i miss the 90's
I have such memorable ties to this song. I remember in the summer my parents would take me and my sister on an hour-long trip to the beach, and this song always came on the radio. Nostalgia at its finest.
I've read at the CS site that CS' new CD "Afterwards" is available at Target and iTunes. I checked the internet. And "Afterwards is also avaiable at target dot com. Which is good news for people like me who are disabled.
OOOOHHHHHHHH my. I loved this song so much when i was little i was heartbroken when they stopped playing it on my favorite radio staion. I've been looking for it everywhere and I love it still^^ I love your video ^^
thats kinda where the phrase ignorance is bliss comes from. If we had no idea about the robot technology or the way god works, It wouldn't come back to eventually destroy us all.
It's about a woman who betrayed him and he still wants her. But he's still very, very angry at her "spit me out" Still wants her "tilt my sun towards your domain" Resents her "you cup over floweth again" Alot of anger.
i would like to say, i find that a lot of people like myself used to listen to this band when they were young, tell you a lot about the band, for the fact when we were young those where the days of gold! collective soul for sure the closest thing to heaven in their songs i have ever heard
I adore the lead singer's hair. He's pretty good looking too! There is long hair and really GOOD long hair. He has really GOOD long hair... very Michael Wincott GSL
Okay people back to a DVD of CS videos for people like me, who can't go to concerts because of my disability. Medications I have to take, make standing for long periods impossible. And I can't be in the sun because of said medications. There are other barriers for me, such as financial. There are people with barriers and disabilities all over the country, Who have no transportation outside of their own county. Have a good time at the concert.
this song reminds me of my best friend who is gone now and his girl friend. they'd argue and she'd always say "you use me and spit me out." the song is incredible! i'll always love you tim. see you on the other side bro'.
Have you ever listened to a song and got tired of it and hear it again like 7 or more years later and fall in love with it all over again, well thats whats this song just did to me
Someone asked what this song is about. It is about not being accepted for your beliefs, beliefs in God. Its Collective Souls way of saying they wouldn't be accepted if they came out as a openly christian band. If you listen to most of thier songs with this in mind, you will hear MANY religeous undertones. While some may hate them for this. Others, and I applaud them.
No kidding dude-hope your friends get an autograph from Ed Roland-he's one of the most underrated lead singers ever! Have a safe and great time you lucky man!
I love hearing when younger people like music like this. I have lost all faith for music now days. All of the rap and pop music won't matter 20 years from now. But people still listen to Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Jimmy Hendrix, etc. The stuff that really has an affect. For the record, Im 20.
The 90s were supposedly a remedy to cure our selfish ways in the 80s but I suffered 2 divorces in the 90s so Diego, until you go through more than one relationship you'll never know and I turn 43 years young later in September 2008...Mikey
Ed R. This song is the first song my son played for me when he first got youtube on my computer. It's the first video on my oldest collection of videos on VHS. It was not possible to record the song on my DVD Recorder. Copywright stuff, I guess.M.
01/13/08 To: Piroshiki095 This was the first Collective Soul song I ever heard too. I heard it at work and I liked it immediately. I noticed, at the time, that the singer had a raspy voice and I thought it sounded different. -Christman

I finally got their greatest hits CD and I'm in total agreement! :-) Turn your head now baby and just spit me out--fantastic line from this hit!
this was one of the best songs that was produced during the 90s in my opinion.
The medicine is starting to work. I hope I sleep soon. That three color glass turning gadget is a SYMBOL FOR A CAMERA.
I remember this song. Heard it on MTV, begged my mom to pick up the cassette. Good memories.
I was so excited to see them in concert last night at Kaboom in San Fransico! I had my picture taken with Joel!!!

When he says Just tilt my sun toward your domain, I originally thought he said, Just took my son to our trip to Maine.
I thought it was "Just took my soul to a higher plane"..😅😅😅
no doubt about that. way better than the stuff these days
When did Collective Soul become nostalgia? o_O
you couldnt have said it any better!
