What is everyone's problem with Russell's voice? I think it's great. Not as deep as I'd expect or like, but it's really good. People's only problem is that it's Russell Crowe, which is b.s. in the first place. He's a brilliant actor, and a good musician. If you've nothing good to say, quite simply - don't comment.
OK, I'm really behind the times, I had no idea that Russell Crowe was such an amazing Singer, I cannot wait to see Les Misérables, 2 of my favorites Aussies in one show, I'll be in heaven.
Keep in mind this is like six years ago and he probably didn't practice much for this performance. He's a good actor and he knows how serious the role of Javert is in Les Mis. I'm not worried in the slightest.
i hope that he does do a good job as javert. i am nervous with this new les miserables movie actually. I hope that these actors for this new film adaption can sing especially the actor who plays marius. He sings my favorite song in the musical.

I'm worried about him and Helena Bonham Carter. She's got the right attitude, but not much in the way of pipes. This will be like a redux of her performance in Sweeny Todd. And the answer to the Russell Crowe question is NO, he can't sing enough. Javert's part is really tough. You have to be a really good singer. He's so-so.
