The fact they have so much photos and Information of their own family That goes back 1000 years is crazy. My family doesn’t even Know anything about our own family past the 1900s
Nah, several royal families passed the throne, which fell by blows
They aren't all closely related.. There's been multiple royal families that have inherited the throne 😂
Whether you know it or not. It’s always there
There is a good chance if you have European ancestry that you fit into the tree somehow. The question is always how you are related to them.
Forget about it, the celts, the galles(French), Vikings, austro-Hungarians,Vikings, the Russ, all of them have ties with crown. I’d say the British crown is the symbol of European Unity. That’s why no matter what, all Europeans always defend the crown because they know about it.
Queen elizabeth lived so many historical events in world history 😯😯😯
Elizabeth ll I think right?
It's queen Elizabeth II
Rest and peace queen elizabeth...
Erm she’s actually born in 1926 this RUclipsr is getting things wrong of knowing years 🤓🤓🤓🤓
Interesting, the fact queens have been longer than kings, despite more kings have ruled but the queens have served longest with obviously queen Elizabeth at 70 years.
This due to kings often going to war along their men
Intressting Fact Elzabeth rules long Elizabeth I 45 Years/ Elizabeth II 70
Multiple factors here. Men go to war, women dont. The women were also rulers later on, which means higher life expectancy naturally. There are probably some others I cant think of rn as well
@@jiraiyaofmountmyouboku1945 99% sure Elizabeth I went to war.

Man! Imagine being able to go back far in your bloodline to 827. That’s incredible!
Edit: Okay I see you all are saying that this isn’t from a single bloodline. I wasn’t saying that it was necessarily that. I was just fascinated by how the BRF can trace their lineage so far back a millennia.
Right, wish I could do that with my family but I can't unfortunately
Yes, that's amazing! I also would like to do it!
Two different royal houses , and Oliver Cromwell was not a king
@Stop Smoking if we believe in the Bible, so we all are related, but nobody know for sure.

Her majesty queen Elizabeth the second is the beautiful and longest reigning monarch in the history of britain ❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧r.i.p
That was england
Wow my grandmother teaches me everything about the Royal family
Thank you for this timeline!!
Powerful information
Just some things - I'm a Brit who knows far too much about the monarchy:
1) You left out Matilda (sometimes known as Maude) who ruled England (and later just south-west England), with the title "Lady of the English" instead of queen, before Stephen.
2) You left out Henry VIII's wives: Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves, Katherine Howard and Katherine Parr.
3) Lady Jane Grey reigned for nine days after the death of Edward VI, until she was taken prisoner by Mary I and executed
4) Oliver Cromwell was never known as King but as Lord Protector. He abolished the monarchy during his ruling and established England as a Republic.
5) After Oliver Cromwell's death his son Richard became Lord Protector but was regarded as weak which allowed Charles II to return to England and take back the throne
😍
Well hello fellow Brit.
woww
Why would Henry's wives be included no other Queens Consort are?
Matilda's "reign" took place during her cousin Stephen's not before.
1. Empress Matilda was disputed, part of the Anarchy and her "reign" is not considered legitimate, therefore it goes uncounted.
2. None of those women were monarchs, they were consorts of the monarch, so why would they feature?
3. Lady Jane Grey was also disputed, she named _herself_ Queen, as such her reign is considered illegitimate and goes uncounted.
4. Correct.
5. Correct.
Thanks for making this video,
We can easily understand the literature by this
Despite all the pedantic comments, this is a well thought out video. The length of reign gives a wider perspective.
This is fabulous!!! Thank you and happy new year!

You have missed out Sweyn Forkbeard who was one of the Wessex kings 👑 and Lady Jane Grey who ruled for nine days after Edward VI died and who initially was considered his successor because he didn't want his half - sister Mary I to revert England 🇬🇧 back to Catholicism. Mary had Jane removed from power and executed. Also rest in peace Queen 👑 Elizabeth II (1926 - 2022) ! I cannot believe you've gone, however your legacy will live on and will NEVER die!

@@JJTHEARTI3T Thanks for telling me. I'm guessing Sweyn was a disputed claimant on the English throne just like Jane was. There was another disputed claimant on the throne once called Matilda who was the daughter of one of the kings of England however I don't know which king was her father. Mary I realized Jane was a political pawn and didn't want to execute Jane, however when a rebellion rose up in Jane's favour Mary signed the death warrant and Jane was beheaded.
@@tomspence8506 yes Matilda was Henry I daughter who was meant to be queen but she was in a different country so her cousin Stephen took the throne and led from 1135 - 1141 then Matilda took the throne and led from 1141 - 1141 when she was over throne and Stephen would return ruling from 1141 - 1154
@@JJTHEARTI3T Thank you for telling me! I think there is another disputed claimant called Bonnie King 👑 Charles as well!
You also missed Edgar II - Edgar Ætheling. After the death of Harold in 1066 he was elected King of England by the Witenagemot, but never crowned. He ruled from October to December 1066.
We are learning about the history of that and after Harold godwinson passed away at the battle of Hastings William Duke of Normandy was crowned king and Edgar was never crowned in 1066 because he was too young to rule but he was crowned in 1097
@@xXMegaGoneFree4PresidentXx A coronation is not necessary. Edward VIII wasn't crowned and, so far, nor has Charles III but he is still king. Saxon kings were elected by the Witenagemot and Edgar was king for about 3 months before they rescinded the decision in favour of William enabling a peaceful transition.

One thing: IIRC the Cromwells weren't kings, but "Lord Protectors" but they were referred to as His Highness and the son did inherented the title from the father, sort like the Kims of North Korea. But technically, for that brief time Great Britain was a republic.
Great Britain didn't exist at the time of Cromwell.

Exato!
Uma triste ditadura, disfarçada de "república", com grandes realizações na economia mas uma cruel tirania.
John 3:16-21
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

The timeline for the reign of King Egbert is wrong. His reign was from 802 to 839. Not 827 to 839. He ruled for 37 years.
Egbert (Ecgherht) was the first emperor to establish a stable and comprehensive rule over all of Anglo-Saxon England. After returning from exile at Charlemagne's court in 802, he recovered his kingdom of Wessex. After conquering Mercia in 827, he controlled all of England south of the Humber. After further conquests in Northumberland and North Wales, he was recognized by the title Bretwalda (Anglo-Saxon, "ruler of the Britons").

I really like your content. Please, what editing software do you use for your videos?
You forgot Lady Jane Grey. However, I understand because she was just a random person that Edward VI chose to succeed him (for some reason)
It was more that his Regent John Dudley, who essentially was the ruler as Edward VI was still a minor when he died, had him sign a change to the succession laws disinheriting his two half-sisters, Mary and Elizabeth, and replaced them with his first cousin once removed, Jane Grey, who by the way was the Regent's daughter-in-law, thus he made his son, Guildford Dudley, the King. Since she would be the first Queen Regnant of England the policy was that the husband would be a King.
FYI, towards the end of King Henry VIII's life he disinherited the Scottish Tudors from any succession line, those were the ones from his older sister Margaret who married King James IV of Scotland. Therefore any change in succession would come from Henry VIII's younger sister, Mary. Going through Mary's descendants, she only had daughters produce heirs. Jane Grey was the oldest living child of Mary's oldest daughter, which is why she was next in line if Edward VI's sisters were disinherited.
After that coup, the laws were changed and Margaret Tudors line was restored, she was older than her sister Mary anyway, and Margaret's great-grandson, King James VI of Scotland ended up succeeding Queen Elizabeth I of England.
One of the saddest stories in our history.
She was his first cousin once removed not a random person

Hello Anna, how are you doing today and I hope you are having a wonderful day
Oliver Cromwell and his son were never kings. Oliver Cromwell was a member of parliament who was one of the group who overthrew the monarch in the civil war and was made Lord Protector of the Commonwealth, effectively a military dictator, until his death. His son succeeded him very briefly but did not really want the job and was forced to resign by the army and the monarchy was then restored.
Cromwell went on to crush the Irish clans and the Scots loyal to Charles II between 1649 and 1651. In 1653 he finally expelled the corrupt English parliament and with the agreement of army leaders became Lord Protector (King in all but name)
@@globalinf he was a dictator, that doesn’t qualify him as a king.
Although Cromwell was not a king he, and he turned out to be a dictator, he and his son usually appears in lists of British rulers. Note he has no regna number, or title, and a surname, which royalty do not use when ruling, although he was called Lord Protector at the time. Not much of one though; still hated for his war crimes.
@@julianaylor4351 I agree he was the ruler but this list is specifically titled kings and queens. It’s like calling Putin king of Russia. It is named the time of the commonwealth, a specific period in British history when we had no monarch.
Maybe him and his son were filling a gap between monarchs.

You left out the civil war and dispute between Stephen and Matilda sometimes referred to as Maude, who actually had more right to the throne, but was prevented from being crowned, because she was a woman, and you left out the nine day queen, Lady Jane Grey. And that the disposed king was probably murdered and that Richard the third died in battle with Henry Tudor, as did Harold at the hands of William the Conqueror known to some still as William the B word, and that Charles the first was beheaded by Cromwell's regime, and James the second deposed in favour of William and Mary who ruled together, until Mary died, and that George the third's son was Prince Regent before he was king.
Separately but interestingly George the first become king, because his mother Sophia died before she could take the throne, and Victoria only got to be queen, because her oldest uncle George the fourth, lost his heir Princess Charlotte when she died in child birth, and his next youngest brother died without an heir, so his successor was his third brother, who had no legitimate heirs, but lots of children with mistresses, including one he illegally married. Victoria was the daughter of the fourth brother and he died before she was born, to his German princess wife. Then finally there's George the fifth, who was Edward the seventh's second son like George the third was to George the second, because the oldest and heir, died young, also like Henry the eighth was to Henry the seventh. The missing princes who never got to be king were Arthur ( Tudor ) , Prince Frederick who is responsible for the writing of Rule Britannia, because he commissioned it's composition for an opera, and Prince Leopold who was a royal Duke when he died, because like our current King Charles the third, his father was a long time Prince of Wales. Also there was a habit of taking a different name in the last two centuries, Victoria's first name was Alexandrina, George the sixth was Albert and Edward the eighth was David, but both Queen Elizabeth and her son Charles dropped that habit.
Queen Victoria’s dad Prince Edward, Duke of Kent died a year after she was born, not before
Thanks
