Flea Markets around where I live have all already turned into crappy resale plazas. No one sells garage sale type items anymore. It's all cheap knockoff household items that are brand new from China. That's probably how they'll all be eventually.
Thrift store scavenger hunt-Barbies in box & Disney VHS Thrift stores in 10 years-sky landers figures, shopkins, funko pops Favorite Christmas movie- Jingle All the Way, Home Alone 1&2, Jim Carrey’s The Grinch
In ten years from now, what we will find in flea markets is: instead of ty plushies in acrylic cases, we will find sealed Marios 64 in acrylic WATA cases. 😆
My favorite Christmas movie is Jingle all the way. "Awe poor baby" and a Christmas story is always a must watch every year. I even picked up a Turboman at Walmart the other day.
Your channel and content is so wholesome. Like, I hope you don't take offense to this..because for me, it's genuinely wonderful - these retro hunting (and $5 game collection) videos are the perfect 'background watching' content for me. I'll pull them up when I need something to watch but nothing sounds interesting, and every time it just feels like a good time. I dunno if it's your narration, the editing, just the sheer genuine excitement you have for the hunt, or what (probably a bit of all of that), but please keep doing what you're doing.
I've had my Urkel pull string since I was a kid. I bought gizmo a little while back. Let me be the first to tell you there is a E.T. Furby. Also in my collection 😂
My Little Ponies have the date on the bottom of their feet. I always pick up the vintage ones when I find them for a decent price. Some can be worth quite a bit on their own or you can group them into larger lots.
Man, that game room behind you is looking sick. Lol not sure how long but I never noticed both the flat screen on top and the cr tv going. Guess I've actually been listening to you which i guess is a good thing. Nice.
Dude, my parents still have the '67 Battleship game! In 10 years flea markets will be nothing but all the stuff we left behind today that we didn't want. I would have picked up those Star Wars Novels, as a Star Wars fan those were FIRE.
My boy Retro Rick always coming in the clutch with great finds. Sorry that plea market didn’t have anything but I knew you would come with some 🔥items from somewhere. Keep pumping out this great content. Looking forward to the next.
Harry Tornado was in a video and said that you were close to getting your 100,000 subs. he is the reason I subbed today. I just wanted you to know. but watching your videos I'm glad he said something!
The comic spinner rack also has slots for open trading card packs from box. That’s why there’s Donruss , Upper Deck … those are famous card companies back in the day.
Fun idea for every time you go to a flea market like this one, you should have like a bingo going for what you'll see. You could put M&M Merchandise, Beanie Babies, or whatever on it and try to get a bingo! I just think it would be a fun idea! Love the video!
Make the scavenger hunt items into spots on a bingo card. Make up about half a dozen bingo cards. Shuffle them and draw a card every time you go to a flea market. Then play bingo while hunting.
Me and my girlfriend were literally just talking about firbies yesterday and this gizmo firbies crossover came up. Awesome piece. Love the Gremlins which is by the way my favorite Christmas movie! I don't care, there's Christmas parts in it. Was my favorite movie as a kid and I'll still watch it any day!
One of my local Flea Markets has that Urkel in the box. It's been sitting there on the shelf for at least 6 months now. It's $60. It also has the same problem about saying words too fast.
Think about it like this. It's an early celebration gift to yourself for the amount of hard work you put in day in & day out hitting the massive milestone called 100k sub on RUclips
Ok here’s some scavenger hunt ideas : 1. Something wcw . 2 marvel comic issue based around a toy or tv show . 3. A vhs tape of classic anime not Pokémon or dragon ball z . 4. A copy of the movie Tommy boy vhs or dvd .
I use those plastic cases for beanie babies for my vintage Masters of the Universe figures. If those beanies were $5 ea and had the cases, I would have bought them, kept the cases, and gave the beanies to one of those programs where police, emt's, and first responders give stuffed animals to frightened children involved in whatever the situation is that they are responding to.
Ten years from now you'll still see updated toys and books... baby shark, paw patrol etc but games will be extremely rare. Arcade 1UPs will probably be in those stores
My absolute favourite Xmas film is the muppet Christmas Carol, because my dad when I was little and he was 15-20 years younger looked like Micheal Cain ( Scrooge ) and my dad is just as tight with money 🤣
I like miracle on 34th St., a Christmas Carol, and a Christmas story. As my adult answer. As my childhood memories. Home alone, jingle all the way and National lampoons Christmas vacation.
future flea markets will have fortenight stuff, tons of old paw patrol stuff, five nights at freddy's stuff, marvel comic movie toys and stuff to do with that.
Gizmo. Funny story about ordering toys and games online.. As kid I always wanted a 90's talking plush Pikachu tried looking at my Local department store in 1999 it was around 40 bucks for it new I asked my parents to get it for me they said no.. when I turned 10 I got enough birthday money to buy one but sadly they discontinued them... 😭. So later on when I became an adult I decided to buy one from eBay it surprisedly it wasn't too expensive ☺️. I love it!
Bummer you didn't get anything at the flee market but at least there was some cool things to look at. Love the Steve urkil boxed and furby. Tendo just for one of those sent to him on his birthday live stream. Buying things on the internet, every now and then isn't a bad thing. I go after certain things on there as well. Get a few things then leave it for a while. Great job with the vid Rick! 👊
You saw things from the 60's and the 90's which are 60 and 30 years ago. 10+ in the future there will still be the same sort of things now as well as the phases of physical products that do still exist. I saw some PSP and WiiU games in a charity shop today.
Scavenger hunt items: embarrassingly overpriced Disney VHS tapes, expired food that isn't old enough to be collectible, hotel lotions/shampoos/soaps/mouth wash, questionable underwear and/or socks, all Christmas booth in the middle of Summer, and that one creepy booth with cool old knives, bottle openers, gas masks, naked lady pens, and nazi paraphernalia.
Happy Friday Eve everyone! Hope everyone has had a great week, also don’t forget the first 1,000 people to use this link will get a 1 month free trial of Skillshare: skl.sh/retrorick09211
Richie Rich originated as a comic. The cartoon didn't come until later.
that was Goldar from the power rangers movie
Happy Friday Eve Retro Rick, just wanted to let you know the story you told about Furby and Gremlins there is some truth to that
I almost forgot to hit the like button :)
My Christmas movie is Kringle
I think ten years from now we're going to see an obscene amount of Funko pops at flea markets. Like Precious Moments amounts of Funko Pops
Yes!
Already do tbh
that’s now
A Christmas Story is my all time favorite, I know it's not really old but I watch that movie on rotation on Christmas Eve through Christmas
Christmas story is one of the best and must see Christmas movies! i watch it every year! home alone and its a wonderful life are good ones too!
Perfect Strangers was a great show! It's the show where "Harriette's" character from Family Matters truly started. You should give it a try!
Very good show. One of the best intro theme songs too! Actually, it may just be the best theme song for a TV show ever.
Flea markets will be full of Wonder Woman 84 movies in 10 years
We need to make a retro rick bingo card. Old CDs that no one cares about can be the free space
A talking Retro Rick doll xD
Christmas Story…you’ll shoot your eye out!
"Batman Forever" and "Flintstones" McD's glasses totally have to be on the Flea Market Scavenger Hunt list.
Muppet Christmas carol . My bro’s fave is the flint stone’s version.
Home Alone, National Lampoons Christmas Vacation and Ernest Saves Christmas are my favorite Christmas movies
Mine too.

That Spawn comic was a newsstand variant. Those aren’t that easy to find, especially in good shape.
My favorite Christmas movie is Jingle all the way. "Awe poor baby" and a Christmas story is always a must watch every year. I even picked up a Turboman at Walmart the other day.

Dude, that Urkel is so friggin cool man!
'Pops' will be everywhere soon, even worse than beanie babies
That huge gold terrifying figure was Goldar from the 2017 Power Rangers Movie
Considering Rick is a massive retro power rangers fan it's quite funny to see how non recognisable 2017 Goldar was 😂
It made me think of an unpainted Guyver.
Perfect Strangers holds up. A great show to watch with the family. My daughters loved it. Skip the last season though
Is that the season where Balki develops a heroin addiction?
@@yewnew no and that never happens
@@yewnew haha I see what you did there. #TrueRomance

That big gold figure was actually Goldar from the Power Rangers movie reboot
Man, that game room behind you is looking sick. Lol not sure how long but I never noticed both the flat screen on top and the cr tv going. Guess I've actually been listening to you which i guess is a good thing. Nice.
A Christmas Story is definitely my favorite thanks for all the great content and all your hard work
Hairy Tornado sent me to your Channel. You’re close to 100,000- that’s amazing! Keep going- you’re doing awesome 😎 👏
Things to spot at flea markets: brown glass ashtray, Sealed Jesus vhs tapes, 80s alarm clocks, Titanic double vhs
“That’s pretty neat. You can tell it’s an aspen because of the way it is.” 😂 -Neature walk
Nice catch!!
That keychain game takes me back. I remember those as a kid, Trouble I think was the best because you could use the pop device with the dice.
Dude, my parents still have the '67 Battleship game! In 10 years flea markets will be nothing but all the stuff we left behind today that we didn't want. I would have picked up those Star Wars Novels, as a Star Wars fan those were FIRE.

Gremlins and Die hard are some of my favorite xmas movies, of coarse Jingle all the way is up there also.
Best Christmas movie ever... DIE HARD!!!
Fun idea for every time you go to a flea market like this one, you should have like a bingo going for what you'll see. You could put M&M Merchandise, Beanie Babies, or whatever on it and try to get a bingo! I just think it would be a fun idea! Love the video!
Bro, from a fellow 80's kid, Gremlins is most definitely a Christmas movie!
That perfect strangers set you put back regularly sells for $30-50 on eBay. Love your content keep it coming.
I think Retro Rick is like that amazing toy you find at a flea market. Hard to find but when you do you found a gold mine.
in the books section (even at goodwill etc) count how many "Da Vinci Code" or "50 shades of grey trilogy" you come across
Make the scavenger hunt items into spots on a bingo card. Make up about half a dozen bingo cards. Shuffle them and draw a card every time you go to a flea market. Then play bingo while hunting.
Ritchie Rich was a comic book series when I was a little kid: late 1960s.
suggestions for scavenger hunts: Barbies, Garfield stuff, HotWheels you don't care about, and those batman glasses you always seem to find

We're talking Demolition Man times... Die Hard is my favorite Christmas movie with Home Alone and close second.
I love your X-men tshirt ! A reader through 80s and 90s of that comic!
We have the Beetlejuice doll. We found it in a resell shop, in box, and pretty cheap. Doesn't work right but we love him anyway.
Think about it like this. It's an early celebration gift to yourself for the amount of hard work you put in day in & day out hitting the massive milestone called 100k sub on RUclips

The comic book rack alone is worth 🤑💰
"Eyes Wide Shut" is my favorite Christmas movie.
Thanks for sharing this experience. Not every time out is a huge haul.
No big deal breaking that rule! Love the Gizmo furby !
Thanks for showing the 90s Barbies and vintage My Little Pony :)
Can you find a giraffe riding a bmx. No special effects a real one. If you can catch the giraffe doing a bunny hop, that’ll be cool.
