Jacob don't even think about it. We know how hard you work, and we know how exhausting long distance driving can be. If you need a day off, take a day off. You don't have fans, you have friends, and we worry about you. As always, much love and safe travels.
Glad you took a break, you work hard, walking around or driving all day is more tiring then people realize. I love the driving videos a lot, I love seeing the quirky roadside attractions🦩🦩🦩
I know how you feel. When I start cleaning my house, if I even sit down, it's over for the rest of the day. We understand if you need a break! You're only human.
Jacob, never feel the need to apologize for taking a day off. In fact, if you need to take a few days in between videos, I don’t think anyone would be upset. Take care of yourself so you can continue living an adventure and providing us with great content.
LOVE this type of content. When we're on the road, this is the stuff we look for and honestly, it's the best memories. Random roadside stops. And you do such a great job of communicating just why this is an important part of the 'American Road Trip' Thanks for making such pleasant videos, they truly brighten my day as well as prep me for my next adventure.
I enjoy your travel day videos. A little bit of footage through the windshield as you drive and a few random stops along the way is enough to make me happy! I especially enjoy footage of driving through mountains, because I used to LOVE driving through the Rockies when I lived in Denver, so that type of footage brings me a special kind of nostalgia.
I'm so glad you got to rest a bit,I worry about you not getting enough sleep.Your channel is my favorite, thank you so much for the vids Jacob, sending so much love to you and Jen❤🤍💙
Jacob, not only are you documenting Americana, but you are a blessed relief from all the politics. WE ALL ARE FEELING LIKE STAY IN BED ALL DAY! Thanks for what you do.
I'm glad to hear that you took a break, Jacob. You deserve it! Please take care of yourself and take a break whenever you need to, no matter how long. We'll be here! ^_^ thank you again for all that you do. All of your videos are wonderful and we appreciate you more than you know! :)
Love the driving days because most people like me, would not know all those cool things you manage to find and learn something! Love any of the Oddities! Your Hoosier friend
You don't know how homesick I am right now. Seeing this video made me happy. California will always be home. Thanks, Carpetbagger! Safe travels and love to Jenn!
I enjoy vicariously hanging out with you. I get the opportunity to explore a variety of museums, and places that I know I will never get to see. I appreciate you for doing this. It's been quite fascinating and educational along the way.
So cool to see you visiting Medford, my hometown, and UO which is my alma mater!!! grew up going to Black Bird with my dad, so thank you for bringing back fond memories :,)
Your a BEAST Jacob. You were back in my neck of woods again. I live a few blocks from the Schultz Museum and Ripley's grave. You have hit so many places this year I grew up going to. Good work and please take care of yourself. No Guilt for a day off. In fact you need to feel grateful and embrace the down time.
Your driving videos are my favorite. Checking out random things along the way. I love the calm, chill vibe and when I need to relax after work it's perfect. Also, I don't travel at all and basically see new and exciting things through RUclips videos 😊 I give you credit, I don't know how you do all of this driving day after day - I can't spend more than two hours in the car without going stir crazy and being sore and tired. And we are the same age 😂.
Fun fact: There is a small restaurant in Weed with the best meat loaf you'll ever have. Delicious meat loaf with mashed potatoes and onion rings on top, all covered with a bbq style gravy. It's amazing.
I just got back from a short road trip and it was fun but exhausting. I'm older than you but I'm still surprised by how much you do every day. And I love these vídeos of in-between places. Sometimes that's where the true adventures are. Take care.
Sometimes I just want to give this man a huge hug ❤ You NEED that rest Jacob. I really enjoy your driving video Jacob, love to see the sceneries while your driving 😍😍😍
Jacob, no matter how much we love what we do you need to take a break. There is such a thing as pushing too hard enjoy all that you do.. If you need to rest rest, you be safe.
Dude, if you need to decompress, do it. No sweat, my friend. And personally I don't mind locale vids or travel vids. They have their own flavor of fun. Keep on trucking and we'll follow!
Good morning, Jacob! I hope all is well with you and your family. I know today's adventure is going to be (as always) very interesting and fun. Keep up the great work! Have a wonderful and safe day! Talk to you later. 😎✌
Super stoked to see what you got going in Oregon! That bird with 4 talons & that poster with the hiking shoes though…that’s got to be direct result of legal cannabis
Jacob, it was cool what you said about geocaching. It's a great sport or hobby (however you look at it) and the fact that you travel the country would give you so many great opportunities to nab unique caches. Take a day or two for yourself on the road and see! I had almost a 10 year break, then during the pandemic, I got into it again as a way to keep active and get outside. Four years later and I'm still hooked!
The Black Bird mascot looks exactly the same as one that they used to have at Yardbirds in Chehalis, Washington before it closed last year. There is still a massive bird in the front that doubles as a helicopter storage unit interestingly enough. The smaller Yardbird statue is now housed at the Lewis County Historical Museum in Chehalis, Washington.
Ah yes. The black bird statue of Oregon. As a little kid that statue would scare the hell out of me whenever we'd drive by it. I swear so many kids were terrified of that thing. Kept them from wanting to go to the store lol.
it's always great to see you in Oregon. Even if it's only briefly. I imagine it's how I feel about the East Coast - It's nice but too dang far away. FYI, you have not been to prehistoric gardens yet. It's a little north of Trees of Mystery. Opened in 1955. No animatronics but still pretty fun.
Yes Jacob, I do like travel videos, some more than others though. I really love the ones where you show alot of things off on the side of the road, when they sorta feel like the same style as your Route 66, Lincoln Highway etc, type trips. Oh, and did they have any Twirl King Yo-Yo's at the museum?
You were miles from me! Hope you liked the area &hope others enjoy these weird & cool things southern Oregon has to offer! Northern Oregon is more known,BUT...People shouldn't discredit the lower half of this state,we have lots to offer!
I really enjoyed this video! Oregon is my home state so it was fun to see the Southern area. I live in the Willamette Valley and dont make it to other areas besides the coast often!
Finally, you came to Oregon! I live in Portland now, but from Alabama!! You should do Washington state, too!! I started watching your channel because of the haunted house walk throughs, but enjoy the theme parks and roadside attractions!
Jacob , we love your videos ! I live in the great falls, montana area and hope you make it to our fair... For fair food try a viking ( a breaded deep fried meatball) at the sons of norway booth. It has been a fair staple here for decades. Also there is a nice model train exhibit. Plus in the first large building by convention center they have a great quilt display. It's not well marked and I think alot of people just pass it by. But I think you would enjoy it.
I live in Southern Oregon. I've honestly never been inside the Black Bird store. I'll make a point to visit it now. My dog goes bizerk every time he sees the Grants Pass caveman statue 😂 had you come a a week and a few days later you wouldn't have been met with a valley full of smoke.
this is why cash is king, always have cash on hand use it or lose it, when cash disappears and the systems malfunction or go offline you will not be able to purchase anything in an emergency.
The bears on the Missouri flag look like human in bear suits. The bear on the California flag looks more like a real bear. So I would say California has the more bearish flag. I love these travel videos please more!
Jacob don't even think about it. We know how hard you work, and we know how exhausting long distance driving can be. If you need a day off, take a day off. You don't have fans, you have friends, and we worry about you. As always, much love and safe travels.
Sir are you kidding me? I love when you stop at neat little places along the road that's my favorite part

Omg, my home town of Grants Pass. They still do dress as caveman every year for the Boatnik festival over Memorial Day weekend.
The Cave Man statue and the story of the group who dressed up is GREAT! 👍
LOVE this type of content. When we're on the road, this is the stuff we look for and honestly, it's the best memories. Random roadside stops. I actually love sitting in the car watching what’s going on. I love the driving videos.
Jacob, not only are you documenting Americana, but you are a blessed relief from all the politics. WE ALL ARE FEELING LIKE STAY IN BED ALL DAY! Thanks for what you do.
Your driving videos are actually my favorites !!

That’s okay Jacob. We all need to take a break and recharge. Safe travels on your next journey. Keep up the great job.

Personally I love the roadside stop videos - you inspire me to pay attention and look around instead of just focusing on the destination
Its always a good day when the carpetbagger does a video. ❤
The black crow statue and the Yo-Yo museum look really interesting. The Oregon duck looks cute, too! Hope you have a great day Jacob!
So cool to see you visiting Medford, my hometown, and UO which is my alma mater!!! grew up going to Black Bird with my dad, so thank you for bringing back fond memories :,)

Jacob, we all need to rest. Don't feel bad, bad when you need to take some time off.
I truly do appreciate you having videos like this, Thank you again Jacob

I love the "on the road" videos!!!
The Oregon duck was so cute!
Nothing wrong with stopping and relaxing..Glad that you do.Keep up with the great work!
Jacob, no matter how much we love what we do you need to take a break. There is such a thing as pushing too hard enjoy all that you do.. If you need to rest rest, you be safe.
Stay rested and hydrated! Please
Love all your videos. You always find amazing roadside attractions.
I like the driving roadside videos. Kudos to your RUclips Channel, Jacob! 👍👍👍👍👍
The Oregon Duck is named Puddles. And for a long time, there was an agreement with UoO and Disney due to the likeness to Donald.
Ooh, that sounds good.
I really like the impromptu roadside stops. That’s real America.
I grew up in Eugene. Live in Springfield which neighbors it. The Oregon Duck was originally named Puddles! But now it is just the Oregon Duck
Betty the black bird is amazing. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. Have a wonderful week. Sending a 👋👋 from Anaheim California
Oh my gosh it’s so cool to see you visiting the landmarks near me! I always forget about the black bird so it scares me every time I go past lol
These are my favorite videos, the driving and roadside stuff. Keep up the good work.
I really enjoy the travel day videos. It feels like I'm on the road trip with you, and that's awesome!
Love the road videos It’s cool to see all the little and big towns
Growing up as a bay kid we took many field trips to the exploratorium. Really cool place with rotating exhibits and experiences.
Glad you took a day to rest. You have a tough boss lol. Love these neat places you find along the way.
Hope Jacob makes it back to Washington, it was cool meeting him in Seattle
Lol. Reminds me of the Yo-yo Man off of the Smothers Brothers show. Damn, he was really good and fun to watch 😊
RIP Mascot Museum, that was a great video
Everyone needs a rest. You work very hard.
I love every video you make. I like the stop offs in the interesting places you go thru. I love seeing what you see Jacob
Black Bird just opened a 2nd location. There is a giant bird there, too.
I used to go every time I stayed with my girlfriend when visiting Medford. I miss that store really, and medford in general, was kind of a nice place.
The Black Bird statue and store was cool. Enjoyed seeing the vintage photos since 1965, of the bird statue!
Keep doing what you do! I enjoy your videos! Be safe and thank you for sharing your adventures with us!
I love this one. So much to see. Thanks for sharing and taking it easy.
I enjoy the driving videos, as someone who's always the driver it's nice to be able to see the scenery 🏔️🛣️🌉🌇😸
When you go to the Montana State Fair, be sure to get a Viking on a Stick, a large fried meatball. On a stick 😂
@@KurtFriend-t9e Ooh, that sounds good.
It should be illegal to have any food on a stick! Or any food that’s blue.
@@suemoo22 Does that mean you want to ban the corn dog? Heathen.
Absolutely!!
Just learned there will be no Vikings this year at the fair! Bummer.
Road trip videos are my favorite.
LOVE 👍 the driving videos; stop along highway 🛣 here and there. 🙌 YES!
Super stoked to see what you got going in Oregon! That bird with 4 talons & that poster with the hiking shoes though…that’s got to be direct result of legal cannabis

The laying down version was a replacement for a standing version that caught fire and burned down. There's lots of videos for yard birds in Washington
Also, I really enjoy the driving videos! It's really neat to see what's along the way to your destinations! I'd love to see more. :)
You are amazing Mr CarpetBagger! 2k to Half a MILLION!!!
Ah yes. The black bird statue of Oregon. As a little kid that statue would scare the hell out of me whenever we'd drive by it. I swear so many kids were terrified of that thing. Kept them from wanting to go to the store lol.
You were in my hometown of Grants Pass and I missed you.😢😢😢😢😢

Possible new catch phrase just sayin lol
I love Weed,CA it's nice lol that for sharing and yes in some parts they do sale itc but thank you for taking us with you be safe
Awesome video as always Jacob and take care of yourself and safe travels
One of my favorite videos was when you drove through West Virginia in the middle of the night.
If you go to the Wyoming State Fair or the North Dakota State Fair, my dad is the hypnotist/magician there this year and is a big fan! Michael Mezmer.
You were miles from me! Hope you liked the area &hope others enjoy these weird & cool things southern Oregon has to offer! Northern Oregon is more known,BUT...People shouldn't discredit the lower half of this state,we have lots to offer!
I love watching all of your videos
I really enjoyed this video! Oregon is my home state so it was fun to see the Southern area. I live in the Willamette Valley and dont make it to other areas besides the coast often!
There used to be an arrow in the Black Bird's head, but they eventually took it out. I used to get Star Wars toys there in the 80's.
Hi Jacob, love the driving style videos. It's like a multi story movie. Well done, and get some rest my friend... : )
Finally, you came to Oregon! I live in Portland now, but from Alabama!! You should do Washington state, too!! I started watching your channel because of the haunted house walk throughs, but enjoy the theme parks and roadside attractions!
37:55 Big Red is Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY. The University of Kentucky has a wildcat statue for the Kentucky Wildcats.

Good Morning " YA ALL " Jacob the Carpetbagger
I’m a fan of the driving videos.
You’re in my neck of the woods Im in Ashland Oregon hopefully while you’re in grants pass you take a trip down the rouge river in a jet boat
We do rely so much on technology it will happen again .
Love these travel videos
Don’t feel like the Lone Ranger, I couldn’t yo either! 🤣
The Blackbird is the best store ever grab a hotdog at the stand there they are the best whatever fixings you want or crave
I love blackbird they have the best selection of boots!
wish I knew you were in Medford---live down the street
I’d love it if you’d do more POV dash cam (time lapses) with your brother’s slide guitar music -since you don’t do drone footage anymore.
Oh man! You were in my town and I missed it!
