I love my Plank. I also use the Reef Jerky but i add a little stuff into it because my fishos seem to enjoy it. I add Reef Roids, PE Mysis pellets, and Hikari algae pellets. It adds enough variety that it keeps each feeding more random on what they get and the Reef Roids adds that little bit to my corals too!
I've had one for over two years and love it! I have it go every hour for 20 seconds during the day for a high frequency, relatively low volume feeding schedule
I ordered it when you posted this and it just arrived today! Gotta rewatch the video as there were no instructions and lots of little parts to figure out. Thanks for the recommendation, my eheims are great but I wanted more granularity and options
well it doesn't fit on my eurobrace tank. However as a 3D designer/printer I can whip up an adapter in a few mins. I see they sell it but will be faster if I just design one.
I have one and love it. Avast states that 3 mins of run time will dose the equivalent volume of jerky as of 1 cube of frozen food. So you’re only feeding about 1 cube a day. I’m not sure of your inhabitants but it’s probably a bit under. I’m using this command in apex for it which I find a little easier so that you only need to adjust the time once instead of each feeding. I’m feeding 7x per day for my Anthias delivering a total 1.75 cubes worth. Fallback OFF OSC 000:00/000:45/119:15 Then ON If Time 20:01 to 07:59 Then OFF Basically it goes on every 2 hours for 45 secs. From 8 to 8. Adjust the time to your liking. Change the time on the last 2 commands of the osc time. For example you can change it to 000:00/001:00/239:00 to run for 1 min every 4 hours (240 mins). (3x per day in a 12 hour span). Just make sure the total of the two adds up to the hourly duration. Lastly you probably want to keep the pump on 24/7. It keeps the tube cleaner
@@ReefDudes thanks for the awesome videos. Love your channel. One last thing: get the cannon ball upgrade from them. Your lights will eventually start growing algea in the tube. This stops it
I bought mine following your convincing video. I wanted to order Reef Jerky from Avast website, but they don't ship to Canada. I searched through the country but couldn't find it. I've written to Aquarium depot to see if they plan to sell any, but I haven't heard back. Where do you buy your Reef Jerky in Canada? I imagine some people have their own recipes, is it possible to find out the recipe? Thank you for your help!
This thing looks nice and performs well by all accounts, but I can’t bring myself to spend $200 on an auto feeder that I would need a separate controller to program.
Yea it wasn’t cheap! But it’s pretty awesome. It was on sale 2 weeks ago. So may be worth it on . Good sale. You could use a smart plug or old school timer to kick it on as it expels the food very slowly
It is expensive because it functions by a continuous motor, like a motor for continuous dosing pump (run calcium reactor). It is great because it can drop very small amount of finest powder food (like Benepet and ReefRoid).

Great to hear! Nice way to keep lots of food in the tank

An update on your auto feeders would be Cool. What food did you use in the ehiem feeders ? 😊
So far it’s awesome and has been working great. Ehiem - I used PE pellets
Nice 😊

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Would it work on 220v ?
Hi Devin.
Hello!
Double check your programming. I think you’re keeping it on for two minute.
