Well, you showed up for me. I'm a new channel and I've enjoyed watching some small channels grow by posting more. Seems like it's also important to find the right topics to talk about. Hope to see you grow.
I've been on RUclips and have run multiple channels since 2007. I'm about to start another new channel here in a couple weeks. You have the subs most likely from all the shorts. Keep doing long form vids as they will get you the view hours. You should pick a particular niche for your channel and stick with it. A niche will let the algorithm know who to push your content to, and it will also let you build up a large loyal following that is interested in that niche. Posting random videos on different topics will not help your channel grow. Focus most of your effort on your titles, thumbnails, and 30 second intro hook, and then keep inserting hooks throughout your videos to keep people watching. I found this video in my feed, so you did some right with this video.
Thanks for the message in this video. I just got re-started with my RUclips channel and I am going to grind it out because until times in the past when I gave up, I am just going to keep going. I know it will pay off later! I watched a couple of videos to try and help your watch time hours!
170 public watch hours right now... but I believe in you. Keep on uploading long form videos with "value" (think of what people want to learn or topics they can relate). Sometimes it only takes one video to get the 4K hours - it happens when RUclips Promotes your videos (when it finds a an audiences that resonates with your channel). So keep going. I am in the same boat. I have enough subscribers but not enough 4K watch hours. :)
Hi there! Thanks for your video. 👍 I was fortunate enough to be monetized in 45 days. RUclips monetizes channels when creators make engaging content to generate the necessary watch hours. It is difficult to achieve the necessary watch hours with Shorts. Long form content is the way to go, imo. Thumbnails and titles are important, of course, but I think it comes down to making a genuine connection with the audience. People are craving connection these days. The most important thing, to me at least, is to do it because you like it. Don’t chase the money. That rarely works. Wishing all of us beginners continued success with our journeys. ❤️
It took me 9 years to get monetized (again) on this channel. In the first few years, I was able to monetize my channel in 12 to 14 months before losing it due to RUclips updating their rules and regulations. But I'm back on the horse again.
@@MArmour I'm wondering if I should get back into the You Tube game. Not sure what type of content I would want to produce. I have about 200 subs left from previous travel videos.
It's all a clickbait thing. I've seen so many those videos and nothing in them say how it happened. I have been working on reviving a 4 year old channel since July and I haven't seen much growth. I just did a whole experiment and posted videos about the results with only a handful of views. Sadly, it just any gimmick.
Well I see this but 30 days wow no chance. YT is promoting smaller channels for sure 👍 my little channel got zero subs for weeks 😮 now people or YT realise the potential it’s getting there
I’ve been on RUclips for 8 years and I’m in a similar boat to you, still trying to get monetised. I spend hours creating my videos and produce high quality , but even still these new smaller channels with no experience are literally getting more views than me 😂
I believe we on the edge of the movie Idiocracy.... The stupidest video that only a braindead cell can can watch it gonna get a hell of views... This new generation is effort less ...the content has to match
It only takes one video, don't give up. I stopped doing RUclips for years. I'm going to start again in a month. I'm telling you, something triggers and then subs will snowball. You got this! Just remember, make sure your sound is great. Hook them in the beginning. Don't bore the audience. Treat them like they're your best buds and always make chapters so if they DO get bored they will skip to the next chapter. The longer you keep people on the video, the more rpm you will start to get. Retention is KEY. Don't even tag anymore. AI will transcribe your video and push it to the right audience. With that in mind, say the right things.
I probably need to talk more on mine too. I'm close on hours and seem to have enough subs. I'm also not sure I have the answer. You have a lot of subs, so it's interesting that you don't have the hours yet. Kind of confusing.
You were on my homepage also! Thanks for the info. Just starting the journey myself. Good Luck!
Keep it up! 👍

Thank you!

Wow! Nine years. Hopefully you stay monetized, you’ve earned it.
I am struggling and trying to do the same thing too.

It's now 500 subscribers and 3,000 watch hours in 12 months.
Thank you 🙏

@joshbottz I like that
I don't believe this "easy mode" thing. Posted my first video about 3 weeks and currently have 13 subs 😅
Nice work!
I've been at this for 10 years and I'm stalled at 130 subs....Frustrating
Damn! Hope it picks up soon for you!

Thanks
They have to monetize from the start otherwise it's volunteer work they're making money on and that's illegal
Never thought of it that way!
But I don’t have 3000 watch hours yet
Keep posting
Are they though?
Not for me!
Hi, I’m here to donate some watch hours:) still tho your interesting anyways
Awesome thank you!
