  • This is a short video on how to recalibrate your speedometer if it somehow ends up on the wrong side of the pin and is unable to tell you how fast you are going.

    My speedometer arm went past the pin and stopped working. This was two days ago. I found your vid and went outside and tried it. Worked just as you said. Speedo now works . Thank You..

    One of the few video instructionals on RUclips where the author is clear and well spoken. Well done! Today I drove without the fear of getting a ticket! Thanks again.

      Tao A'the thank you for the wonderful complement. Honestly, that was the whole reason I did the video. I had it happen to me. I also worried about getting a ticket. So I searched RUclips and all the videos I found the people assumed the viewer already knew certain things that only a mechanic would know (so why make a video if you are only catering to people who already know!?!). So once I figured it out, no thanks to the tutorials I watched, I decided I would make a video that walks you through the steps clearly. So thank you very much for your wonderful comment. I've started making other videos because of this first one. I hope they help people as well.

    These are the things dealerships don’t want you to know, so they can rip you off.
    After the battery died and I replaced it, my wife told me that tach and speedo don’t work anymore. Fixed it in two minutes.
    Thanks Gina for the instructions, very helpful!

    Thank you and God Bless you! I drove without a speedometer, mine quit in town, 45 minutes away from home. I drove very carefully home. The mechanic wouldn't look at it! My son just used your instructions and It worked! Your a very special person to help me and my son. I've spent $1000's of dollars on my van. Can't afford a new one. They would have charged me hundreds of dollars for a simple fix you provided! Bless you 💕💕💕

    • @ginaguzzo7661
      @ginaguzzo7661  2 года назад

      When it happened to me I asked my friends who were mechanics and they didn’t even know how to fix it. I found one video on RUclips from a mechanic that did know what to do, but the way he explained it was like he was talking to someone who already knew how to do it. So I said, screw it, “I’m making a video on how to do it.” I tried to be as clear as possible. This will work on pretty much any modern vehicle. The codes may be different but the results would be the same. It works for resetting the entire instrument board. I’m happy it worked for you and saved you money! God Bless you as well!

    My speedometer went to neg 40 mph. And was thinking. "Great another thing I have to pay to fix" your video is the first result and I am happy you made it for simpletons like me. It worked! Thank you

      I couldn’t find any good videos to explain how to fix it when it first happened to me. I actually had to read between the lines to figure out how to do it. A lot of times people tend to forget that not everyone knows the little things they do. So I tried to do a true step by step.

    That was hilarious. Mom just popped in and told me that it wasn't moving. You had mentioned it got stuck under the pin. I figured- "No way it's actually all the way around." - Sure enough... Saved us a few hundred. Thanks a bunch! Nice to see your video still doing justice years later! :)

    Let me tell you how amazing this was to find! I have a 2001 Town and Country and one day I started my van and the speedometer went all whacky and then just stopped working. I didn't have it fixed but tried this instead and you know what? It is working again!! I can't thank you enough for sharing this video. It was the first thing that came up in my Google search. It was easy to understand and hear. Thank you.

      Freddy Alvarez my good friend that is a mechanic wasn’t sure how to fix it either. The videos I found honestly were not helpful. The guys talked as if they were talking to fellow mechanic and skipped steps. So I decided to make video that all s non-mechanics could understand! So happy it helped you and saved you money! That’s the whole point of my channel!

      Glenn Kidder Glenn, I’m so happy I saved you money and the hassle of dealing with a service center. To be honest my friends that are mechanics didn’t know how to fix it. If that center knew how, they were going to charge you for 30 seconds of work. If not, then they would have unnecessarily replaced a part that would not have fixed the problem! So so blessed that it saved you money!!!!

      im so happy it helped you. the only reason i made the video is because all the ones i had seen assumed ppl knew certain things and weren't very detailed at all. Ive since started doing a few "how to" videos. Like how to get paint from another vehicle off your car. I got hit and paint transferred to my car so i videoed how to fix it. Thanks for letting me know this video worked for you! I appreciate the feed back

Was so thankful I had found a video but the one I found wasn't very detailed and the guy assumed those watching already knew some things. So I took a chance and made my own video. Just sorry I didnt turn my phone sideways for a better view for everyone.
