I never used NFC, but always uses IR blaster for controlling fans, TV, AC etc. Iam a redmi user for 7+ years and IR blaster is a key priority and sometimes the final decision maker for me while buying phones. Even today also I was waiting to check whether V40 have IR blaster and was dissapointed to see it didn't.....
