Where was this taken in another country or another planet. A polite greyhound bus driver shaking hands with the passenger. Thanks for the laugh. Why don't they show a real bus driver with real passengers.
Time to do a repeat video to show just how messed up the buses are today. You and me both know greyhounds maintenance sucks just as much as there drivers do. They are not polite or courtesy to there passengers and they rarely ever do anything for them.
And what about the nasty terminals specially the one showing in this video Chicago so NASTY and the people absolutelly the opposite at the video people of course i want a say they are a bunche of assholes sorry for the word but is the true
i once took a greyhound from detroit to memphis and the whole way i could hear the engine and the bus was vibrating the whole way, wow i felt like departing my soul from my body and just ending it.
David Cerda I've been all over the country on Greyhound, and although there was the occasional glitch, I've have never had a bad trip.. I think riding Greyhound is a very pleasant adventure
Jon Q Public I've never had a bad trip either man. There's no better feeling than an empty bus when you have a 7 hour ride before your next layover.
trust the greyhound i took you guys in 2018 SA TX-appleton wi and i had a great experience it was one of the (then new) MCIs it was affordable and interesting just keep to yourself and you'll be fine
Canada has got refurbished early 2000s mci dl3 buses. They look new and have rode them a few times and I have liked them. The seats were comfortable and the wifi was ok not the fastest.
I have to ask, are you joking? Or did you have a brain glitch? I’ve been there too, I’ve said stuff and then realized it didn’t make sense. Sometimes we all do that. That’s what I’m wondering because when you wrote this comment the video was eight years old. So did you look at the video saying that it was eight years old, then look at the buses being new in the video, and thinking they still look brand new? When obviously The bus is still look brand new because the video was taken eight years before you wrote this comment so the video is not going to change. It’s kind of like looking back at a videotape of your 10th birthday and someone still thinking that you look the same because the video shows you looking that way. Does that make sense?
In 2001 my wife and me went from Dothan Alabama to Billings Montana on 5 different Greyhound bus’s to top it all off it was in February and it was cold 🥶
Probably safety regulations and competition. Let's look at the first. In, let's say, Mexico, you have a massive array of buses like the Volvo 9700 Luxury, Grand L, and 9800, Irizar PB & i6/i8, as well as the MAN Ayats Eclipse. All of these are really really comfy and spacious, but they might not meet DOT standards in the U.S. For example, all of these models have a little seat attached in the front for an extra driver. While this has been seen in the past, it's mostly obsolete here because of the "Yellow Line" on practically every bus, not just coaches. So, in order to get new buses, it's easier and cheaper to buy already-compliant buses like MCI or VanHool that aren't comfy than to custom-build buses to be DOT-compliant in another country and have them shipped across international borders. Another factor is competition. Everyone takes planes now, and even cars bite into Greyhound's share of passengers. They can't get enough demand to bother renovating their fleet, so they use old, uncomfortable ones for whatever passengers they have left.
I've been on a bus like this one in Canada for a 82 hour ride in Canada personally I think the staff of greyhound generally try there best I usually find that the four front row seats are usually filled with the bus drivers stuff or a passengers stuff but usually the front seats nearest to the front are best choice for safety and comfort always bring1 a pillow and blanket 2 33decibel ear plugs or music to listen to with ear plugs 3 water bottle 4 non smelly healthy snacks for when you wake up hungry 5 some form of entertainment like a 3DS or book or phone with plug in and games 6 always make sure your wearing deodorant/antiperspirant with a fresh hot shower that day nobody wants to smell a dirty beggar on the bus with clean comfy clothes 7 also pack wet wipes as the buses usually don't have a washing sink to wash your hand or try to use the washrooms at coffee restroom stops because all they supply is antibacterial hand sanitizer I hope these tips help when you next travel greyhound and makes your experience more comforting
@MrWill1985 Thanks for this question, MrWill1985. It’s important for us to select the very best models available based on quality, safety, price, function and several other factors. We’ve found that having the freedom to work with different companies gives us the best coaches in the market, and just like with cars, the models and features of buses change constantly.
Depends on how many lay overs you have and where they are at/what time of day they are. Plan on being tired when you are done traveling, watch your stuff at all times. anything of value keep on you, in a pocket, bag in lap.. ect. Other than that, these newer buses look a lot nicer than the ones I rode on 7+ years ago..
just went from WA state to Arizona, Greyhound are relentless, very small breaks, Go GO GO GO , a lot of changes in busses , but they did get me here, but damn if can afford it take a plane.
@northshoore, The main coaches you see doing all the short stop, and go runs as well as the long hauls, are the very ones that are the "work horses" of the industry.
@slgare Thanks for asking! We’re currently adding these new buses to our fleets in the Southeast, but it may take some time before you see them regularly.
three years ago I travel from Idaho to Texas,,was okay but bus driver had heat so high!!! I was burning, sweating! I complain about it but still he never heat down a little...so I'm heading back to Idaho after 3 year's hope this trip is better !!
@jfs1988 Great to hear from you! We don’t currently allow any filming in our terminal unless it is media with a release form or pre-approved for movie production purposes.
Yesterday I saw one of the 2011s at Baltimores artscape which was 86132. They say eventually all of the coaches will look like that coach. So does Greyhound eventually plan to be an all Prevost fleet or are they only referring to the interior?
As a kid in the mid 60's I road the 5401 Scenicruisers. I am still in love with those buses but the new colors are very nice. Is the a MCI or something different ?
Also I think the new 2011 Prevost X345s have arrived. I spotted 86122 and 86123 in Philadelphia and possibly 86104 also in Philadelphia. They look the same on the exterior but the engine sounds more clear then on the 2009s and to my understanding the 2011s have Volvo D13 as the 2009s have Detroit Diesel Series 60 which was discontinued this model year.
@northshoore, because most Euro-buses (not all) will fall apart from under you if you try to push them through the rigors of an inter city-transit style of runs. Most Euro coaches are geared for long haul, with curtains, snack bars and all that "air-liner" amenity stuff.
Haha greyhound bus terminal in Dallas after dark is Special. watch out for Steve the beggar outside is you smoke near the black pipe. he'll be there waiting for you. haha.
I took my last and final trip during the holidays in 2023...I was on a bus from South Carolina to DC with a load of New Yorkers.I developed a blood clot and the ish from Greyhound staff convinced me never subject myself to that experience and environment again
I agree. the thing is that i was a passenger just like the next person before i got this job and you have to put yourself in their shoes, thats what I do, plus these people are your paycheck so you wanted them to come back and a bit of kindness does go a long way.
I took the bus from San Diego to Las Vegas, changed buses in San Bernadino to greyhound, I just wanted to ride the bus to see the countryside and that was a nice ride. Wow, if ya wanna ride in a bus with no leg room, take the bus I was on. I hope other Greyhound buses ars different than that bus. What I did like was the convenience at the stations, however if I do take the bus again, I would have to see if there was any legroom before I boarded, because I could hardly walk when we reached Las Vegas, I was the last passenger to get off the bus. I am an older retired person.
Oh, yes, I remember taking one of Greyhound's buses from Mississippi to Texas. Nothing quite like being surrounded by shaky, unstable types at the station in Houston all night long. I just could not sleep.
Can't wait to Travel Soon So i could Enjoy The New Wi-Fi Grey Hound Buses & Conversate with Greyhound Bus Driver & People while Traveling to my Distination Thanks for Your Great Videos
i know you can get the X3-45s on the Montreal-Ottawa route but whats the chances of getting a D4505 like this on them? also your laws on photography, am i aloud to film or photograph them outside of the terminal ( public streets ) i am a Transit enthusiasts who photographs all sorts of buses
I read that Greyhound is getting another 130 of the MCI D4505s this year. I did read they will have Cummins engines. More likely I suspect the ISX11.9. And I do remember reading the entire 2010 order was strictly Greyhound units and none for Bolt Bus. Peter Pan wound up having 15 extra D4505s that went to Bolt Bus and the interior is different from Greyhounds D4505 interior.
I saw a RUclips video of one of these at the 2011 SEPTA Roadeo and noticed Greyhound used the same steering wheel the older D Series coaches have. I would have thought they would have the same airbag steering wheel the Prevosts have just like other D Series coaches have including D Series commuter coaches.
I have another question about Greyhounds new buses. Are they permanently purchasing MCI D4505s for the future or will they purchase Prevost X3-45s as well? I know during 2008-2009 they were unable to purchase MCIs and purchased Prevost X3-45s which I also like as well as the MCI D4505.
I got another question regarding the new MCI D4505s. Will all of the 2010 units be operating on Greyhound only or will there be some D4505s going to Bolt bus? I know the 2008-2009 Prevost X3-45s had units go to both Greyhound and Bolt bus.
I am a bus enthusiast and just joined your Flickr group. What is your policy on photography at the stations? also, can photos of your subsidiaries like Crucero USA or Autobuses Americanos USA be posted?
@cheystar There are new buses being used in this area, but we recommend you contact the terminal prior to departure to learn if you’ll be traveling on a new bus.
@Cavalierstrm We are expanding our new buses to several Midwest cities very soon. Look out for updates on this on our Facebook page and Twitter channel.
@virtuosodud3 We hope that you will give Greyhound a chance to redeem itself with you by riding again. We are constantly taking steps to improve our level of customer service, keep our schedules running on time and, as always, the safety of our passengers is our number one priority. We hope you’ll see this on your next Greyhound trip. Thanks for connecting with us here!
Will greyhound buses have sinks in the bathrooms eventually I’m probably going to give greyhound a try if I do it’ll be from Jacksonville Florida to Kansas City Missouri are the stations safer now mom says there were bad people coming up to you begging for drugs if the stations are safe now I definitely want to try because it’s getting expensive to fly anymore as much as I like to fly I’m willing to try something new
That looks nice. I hope Greyhound stays around for a long time.
Me too
And here we are today, it shutdown. RIP.

Hi big fan :p
It sure has man
Thank you for adding seatbelts to all new coaches in 2009. Many riders such as myself appreciate your care for safety.
Just booked my first trip with Greyhound I hope I'm not disappointed
Where was this taken in another country or another planet. A polite greyhound bus driver shaking hands with the passenger. Thanks for the laugh. Why don't they show a real bus driver with real passengers.
Diana Baskin I know this comment is 4 years old..but LOL! You ain't never lied. Greyhound bus drivers are never THAT friendly.
Time to do a repeat video to show just how messed up the buses are today. You and me both know greyhounds maintenance sucks just as much as there drivers do. They are not polite or courtesy to there passengers and they rarely ever do anything for them.
Exactly !
Bus always dirt in and out
And what about the nasty terminals specially the one showing in this video Chicago so NASTY and the people absolutelly the opposite at the video people of course i want a say they are a bunche of assholes sorry for the word but is the true
bigger seats would be better, since people like to sit by themselves and be more comfortable!
i once took a greyhound from detroit to memphis and the whole way i could hear the engine and the bus was vibrating the whole way, wow i felt like departing my soul from my body and just ending it.
The wifi on these buses is amazing! From Washington to Texas, from Texas to Boston, and finally from Boston back to Seattle. And a little extra.
Great Traveling GreyHound 🚌Bus Video 👍 And Please Post More New Different Destinations Grey Hound Bus Travels to
I still like Greyhound Buses the same as when a youth before driving now have retired look forward to a trip in a new Bus.
I have a 2 day & 9hr ride from WV to Cali this Saturday lol. Wish me luck guys
I have always loved traveling with Greyhound!!
Hilarious. A driver I ever ride with never carried a bag for a lady lol
trust the greyhound i took you guys in 2018 SA TX-appleton wi and i had a great experience it was one of the (then new) MCIs it was affordable and interesting just keep to yourself and you'll be fine
Canada has got refurbished early 2000s mci dl3 buses. They look new and have rode them a few times and I have liked them. The seats were comfortable and the wifi was ok not the fastest.
it's funny how times have changed people. rode one of the old buses in 95. no outlets, less leg room, no WiFi
just a scenic ride!
Oh wow!
Lmafo
They would take DMT. Make that scenic route extra "scenic" lmafo
They still tout Their "New" Buses on Their Website 9 Years later.
The bathroom was probably a Port-O-Potty 🤣
The fact that they bought these buses 8 years ago and they still look brand new in 2019

I rode on one of these Prevosts and they are really nice I'm 6'4 330 lbs and I was comfortable with my legspace
Hi they look really nice to ride and drive. In the UK I work for National Express,we do similar work.
If Greyhound buses have seat belts for the passengers, school buses NEED to have them too!
School buses aren’t flying 120km/h on the highway for hours
Ahhh. Good memories of Greyhound trips to the beach.
In 2001 my wife and me went from Dothan Alabama to Billings Montana on 5 different Greyhound bus’s to top it all off it was in February and it was cold 🥶
Nice Buses. They're probably going to be here in Detroit soon. I've seen both US and Canadian Greyhounds on the road here
How come Greyhound busses in foreign countries are so much nicer.
timothy okane that's right
I keep asking me that same question all the time

Forgot the most important , Tooth brush and paste or some mouth wash.
Kris Christian how the hell did u afford and mKe it through a 80 hour ride
Great tips!
What do you mean a dirty beggar? You're insinuating people on buses are beggars? I don't get it
Cool buses

I would love to get on the new greyhound bus.
This will be like nothing you'll see in real life.

Very nice looking. I guess I've missed a lot of changes.
Go greyhound and leave the driving to us!!!
Nice looking bus! Im looking forward to riding them, especially on long trips!
just went from WA state to Arizona, Greyhound are relentless, very small breaks, Go GO GO GO , a lot of changes in busses , but they did get me here, but damn if can afford it take a plane.

cool video, i just put up a video of some of my crazy greyhound experiences lol. i must say though, the old seats looked more comfortable!
Agreed, older seats are better. But they are ordering better seats next time, I heard.
I love going by greyhound!
@northshoore, The main coaches you see doing all the short stop, and go runs as well as the long hauls, are the very ones that are the "work horses" of the industry.
GO GREYHOUND AND LEAVE THE DRIVING TO US!!!! WE MISS YOU IN THE MIDWEST!!!!❤🚍🚍🚍🚍🚍🚍🚍
good luck buddy enjoy your trip hope all goes well
I own a 1964 MCI Greyhound bus. I have now fitted it with Wifi ;-)
I'm just throwing this out there. Which is better? MCI or Prevost?
How can you own a big bus like Greyhound? Don't you need a special license to own one?
Dream Journal Projects Prevost
@slgare Thanks for asking! We’re currently adding these new buses to our fleets in the Southeast, but it may take some time before you see them regularly.
Are there cameras with audio on Greyhound buses? Hopefully, someone knows
three years ago I travel from Idaho to Texas,,was okay but bus driver had heat so high!!! I was burning, sweating! I complain about it but still he never heat down a little...so I'm heading back to Idaho after 3 year's hope this trip is better !!

After my 16 hour greyhound journey you couldn't pay me to step on another
I'll be going greyhound to tucson again this fall:)
Greyhound has great buses, good service and low prices! I love Greyhound!
@ElProfGringo This post is fake as fuck. Nice try Greyhound, but you guys are terrible!
Yesterday I saw one of the 2011s at Baltimores artscape which was 86132. They say eventually all of the coaches will look like that coach. So does Greyhound eventually plan to be an all Prevost fleet or are they only referring to the interior?
The bus drivers are awesome!
cool !! that way i will be able to travel from San Rafael to Chico, CA .
I was just on one of these. Was cool but the power outlets didn't work. Other than that, the seats were allot more comfortable and had more legroom.
Going from Dallas to Tulsa this morning. Hope I don't sleep too much
As a kid in the mid 60's I road the 5401 Scenicruisers. I am still in love with those buses but the new colors are very nice. Is the a MCI or something different ?

No joke. and also watch out for people trying to sell drugs to you lol happened to me in dallas.
Is that so? Haha good to know lol
It good to watch out.for Everyboby
@MrWill1985 The new buses are currently rolling out in several Northeast and Midwest markets. Further expansions are planned in 2011.
The acting in this movie is great.
I took my last and final trip during the holidays in 2023...I was on a bus from South Carolina to DC with a load of New Yorkers.I developed a blood clot and the ish from Greyhound staff convinced me never subject myself to that experience and environment again
@GoGreyhound Great video showcasing the new buses. Looks like it was filmed in Portland, OR. But how about filming inside the bus itself?
I agree. the thing is that i was a passenger just like the next person before i got this job and you have to put yourself in their shoes, thats what I do, plus these people are your paycheck so you wanted them to come back and a bit of kindness does go a long way.
@GoGreyhound I hope so. I'm planning on taking a trip back to my home town and I'll see how it goes then.
Does anyone know the width of the aisles for rolling a carry on.
I took the bus from San Diego to Las Vegas, changed buses in San Bernadino to greyhound, I just wanted to ride the bus to see the countryside and that was a nice ride. Awsome spotted a Pontiac Sunfire at 0:50 really rare.
@w5pda Yes! We are very excited to continue to roll out coaches with the new livery.
Greyhound buses are Great & like Your Videos but Please post more new Videos & Hopefully from las vegas 👍
Can't wait to Travel Soon So i could Enjoy The New Wi-Fi Grey Hound Buses & Conversate with Greyhound Bus Driver & People while Traveling to my Distination Thanks for Your Great Videos
FINALLY!!!...........a bus with seatbelts!!!
i know you can get the X3-45s on the Montreal-Ottawa route but whats the chances of getting a D4505 like this on them? also your laws on photography, am i aloud to film or photograph them outside of the terminal ( public streets ) i am a Transit enthusiasts who photographs all sorts of buses
@TTC4300 Seatbelts are not mandatory on the bus, they are on our new buses as an additional safety feature.
hello i was wondering if and when these new buses will service the southeast area i live there and would like the new services provided on these buses
@marine05252003, the bus in this video is not a Prevost X3-45; it is a MCI D4505.
Always wanted to drive for greyhound it's very hard to get in
Love the new coach look. But that driver uniform....looks like a city transit driver uniform. BRING BACK THE GREY AND LIGHT BLUE!!!!!!!!
I read that Greyhound is getting another 130 of the MCI D4505s this year. I did read they will have Cummins engines. More likely I suspect the ISX11.9. And I do remember reading the entire 2010 order was strictly Greyhound units and none for Bolt Bus. Peter Pan wound up having 15 extra D4505s that went to Bolt Bus and the interior is different from Greyhounds D4505 interior.
cool liners man !
Very cool!!!!
Bus or rail is the best way to go from coast to coast, although the journey is three days long.
gonna ride this tomarrow to new York.....
omg buses now have seat belts!
I like the new Greyhound bus it is about time.
Good morning or night Grey hound and RUclipsrs hope You all doing great! "well i'm hoping to travel on Your Buses and meet the drivers!!
Thanks.
Boy I never gonna ride greyhound again for a long time
@347pony The buses are the Prevost X3-45 model.
I got another question regarding the new MCI D4505s. Will all of the 2010 units be operating on Greyhound only or will there be some D4505s going to Bolt bus? I know the 2008-2009 Prevost X3-45s had units go to both Greyhound and Bolt bus.
Why is it that people complain that this isn't Europe? Adjust Greyhound, Amtrak, etc. to a better American standard. We have the technology, USE IT.
I am a bus enthusiast and just joined your Flickr group. What is your policy on photography at the stations? also, can photos of your subsidiaries like Crucero USA or Autobuses Americanos USA be posted?
@347pony Correction: The buses are actually a D4505 model, not the Prevost.
@cheystar There are new buses being used in this area, but we recommend you contact the terminal prior to departure to learn if you’ll be traveling on a new bus.
@Cavalierstrm We are expanding our new buses to several Midwest cities very soon. Look out for updates on this on our Facebook page and Twitter channel.

this is really old video quality lacking can we have a updated video on this?
good
