So happy you decided to try and asked Dani to DIY your table instead of getting rid of it! This is such a great lesson in looking at what we have in a new way instead of buying something 💕
love how this do-over slipped so seamlessly into their Victorian home. You felt their vibe, the house's vibe, the piece's vibe and brought it all home.
I just found your channel early this month and I’m obsessed. I binged your entire home series and I love your evolving style and aesthetic. I also appreciate how open and transparent you have been about your mental health along the way. I used to love hgtv but got sick of the monotony of it all, all the shows merge into one now. But Danie, you put a new face and breath new life into the home diy genre. You’ve reignited my passion for it also. ❤
You knocked it out of the park, Danie. Go you! Love seeing the incorporation of turned feet, and the stain on the walnut is lovely. Adore seeing the mix of black and brown. Also, enjoyed what appeared to be a violet-toned grey on the tips of your fingers. 🖤🤎🧡🤎🖤
I love it. I used to upcycle furniture regularly years ago but gave it up due to physical health issues - I sold all of my back stock but still have loads of hardware, legs/feet, pulls knobs etc, as well as my tools. We recently renovated our house and I’ve decided to make over some of our existing furniture to better fit our new style. 8 pieces in total, plus a wall length desk to build for my office/craft/sewing room using original pedestal bases from a large vintage desk. I just need to find my mojo - this vid definitely set off some inspiration tingles for me ❤
Every single time I see someone paint their furniture black, all I can think about is what a pain it would be to strip the paint if the reality didn't match the vision. But I feel that way because people take shortcuts and don't sand or prime, so that's why their piece looks awful and ends up in the dumpster or thrift store. SOOOO happy to see how beautiful your piece turned out, Danie. Your creative instincts were spot on!
Feel like so many people with similar pieces are going to be so inspired by this. Love a good upcycle. Let’s try to love what we have and stop buying new
I always like the colors you do your hair but I think this is truly the best one so far. It just makes your face look so fresh and lovely. Love the project to.
That little router bit made a huge difference. I absolutely agree with the hardware choice for the drawers. Those are so much easier to grab with your pinky, when you've got keys, or glasses, or your phone in your hand. They look better, too!
Danie, I love your tiny ponytail. That short haircut looks great on you. I love the way this piece turned out. It’s my fav love it or thrift it piece yet.
❤❤❤ Holy Toledo Batman! Danie, your creative genius shines today on this furniture transformation! WOOW! That final wax, that vintage hardware, those stunning legs, the coup de gras was the Walnut drawer fronts! BTW, love the tent setup, Kenobi seems to approve 👍 and your haircut is absolutely stunning on you! I do miss your lavender hair from the old days😢 your new table saw has taken you to another level of DIYing!❤❤❤ Congratulations on another successful makeover! Keep on DIYing!
OK, a couple of things! (I’m sorry I don’t always comment, so catching up) 1-LOVE your hair! Cut, color, straight or curly…LOVE IT! I did always like the lavender color, but, coming from someone who went all in with my grey, being “all natural” can be very empowering! 2-So excited for your new build! Can’t wait to see the shop and studio come together! 3-This video’s furniture flip is AMAZING! 4-You ALWAYS brighten my Saturdays! Even if you need to “get real with us” about how your feeling, you are still encouraging and hopeful! ❤️❤️❤️
It's BEAUTIFUL!!! 🤩🤩🤩 It doesn't look like an ikea piece anymore, incredible! When you said the style of that house is your dream and that she has mismatched rooms I thought... How cool would it be if you could revamp all her rooms taking the style from the formal livingroom at the entrance for example. It would turn out stunning! 😍
Loved this furniture upgrade. The size of the piece did fit the area so well, but the style was a bit awkward. Danie really gave the piece new life and it is awkward no more! Gorgeous transformation. Side note - Kudos to the music selection throughout. It was a bonus to an already enjoyable vid.
I love watching this series and seeing your channel evolve. From working in your studio to tackling larger projects like this, the joy and dedication you put into pieces clearly shows. ☺️
What a diff the paint, knobs, legs and little facing pieces made. Even if somebbody didn't have your skill with tools, they could do that and make a huge difference in the appearance of the piece. Love how it turned out- lovely
I haven't watched the video yet but just wanted to say how cute your hair is looking! 😁 You are so creative! How could you be nervous that she wouldn't love it? Perfection!!
Wasn't sure about the walnut when Danie mentioned it in the planning stage, but Good Lord, she's a pretty one! Just needed to be reminded to trust the process...Beautiful job x
I've been watching your videos for years and I've always loved them, you've shared your mistakes, your processes, your wins, and it's so inspiring to see women doing cool things and also being themselves. This video feels like the culmination of everything you've learned, tried, figured out, and it's just full of amazing confidence and I love that for you. Keep on smashing it, you're awesome!
It's gorgeous Danni!!! I love how it goes with the stairs and the existing hall furniture - it has brought everything together. And the colour is so rich...and the hardware...and the feet... Love it!!! ❤️💝👍👏😘
I do not like shaker doors, but never thought about a tiny trim added. Sweet! I have passed over functional furniture that I could have shifted. Light bulb! I have two dressers in my store room, well built and functional. Duh. Yours turned out perfect for her home!
I did similar w my melamine kitchen cabinet doors: "cabinet rescue" acrylic paint tinted celery-green with buffed wax finish -- love it, and cleans beautifully with a vinegar/detergent/water spray.
Thanks for that info; been wondering how using a buffed wax finish would work in a kitchen with all the grease, smoke, etc. Would the wax absorb these, along with the splatters and smells? Would it melt/soften from the heat (from stove/oven)? It is a lot of work for this process not work or hold up. Did you use Annie Sloan's wax? I know it is the most popular/known. Meg, I appreciate your input - thanking you in advance. Enjoy your day and have a safe, fun and fan-tab-ulos weekend!!
I didn't think I would notice a difference with the black wax but I did! It was exactly what the piece needed and now I'm wanting to use it on my furniture! I maybe should finally paint my kitchen table black and use this wax on it. Gorgeous transformation.
You did it again! The furniture designs that you flip used pieces into are great. I flipped pieces when I started my vintage shop about 10 years ago. Still, I learn so much about how to do more. Because of you, I am no longer afraid to build drawers.
I love the blue-black, it really adds to the piece. I agree with your hardware choice, a keyhole without an actual lock was kind of bugging me. I think the clean lines are better too. Good work Danie, this one is really nice.
Your haircut looks amazing! Absolutely love what you did. I would never had known this was a ikea peice in its former life. Drawer hardware, I like the second option but I would have liked a pair on each front.
Just wow! I’m particularly interested in your black wax and you were right, the hardware that you finally chose is better. I also like the contrast between the wood and the black color.
I am sooo glad you found different pull handles for the draws the ones with the keyhole were just not doing it for me at all. The wax coat made all the difference to the whole unit was not sure but the painted look felt flat but once you put in the wax it was the missing piece to the puzzle.👍🏽👍🏽🤗🤗🤗
Ok I’m done the video now….and OMG Danie. You really did an outstanding job! Most people would just sell the piece and buy a new one, but what you did is better than anything she could have bought! Wow!
Danie, we are still loving this piece and we get so many compliments on it! THANK YOU for helping us love this table again! ❤❤❤❤❤
That Danie she just has that talent so see a pice come to life ❤ it really made your entry way all come together ❤❤❤
So happy you decided to try and asked Dani to DIY your table instead of getting rid of it! This is such a great lesson in looking at what we have in a new way instead of buying something 💕
This is such a great piece! It’s absolutely perfect now! You’re so lucky!
The piece is just stunning! It finishes off your entry way beautifully. I also love your old door coat hanger by your front door. 😍 Great taste. ❤️
I love the wax idea...could you do this on trim? We have a trimmed out grid wall
love how this do-over slipped so seamlessly into their Victorian home. You felt their vibe, the house's vibe, the piece's vibe and brought it all home.
ahh THANK YOU! It looked SO GOOD!
Spoiler!!
The short hair is so cute, I love it when you just have your natural texture too!
5 seconds in and I am like "wow, Danie, your hair is awesome!!"
Thank you!

I love these ‘Love it or Thrift it ‘ episodes
You certainly got your grove back , girl
Handles instead of the knobs - YESSIREEBOB!!
i'm so glad you have a tablesaw finally! saw stop is LEGIT that's when you know you've made it as a DIYer

Coffee, DIY Danie =perfect Saturday morning!
While I loved the first pulls, the second ones were exactly right for this piece. Your sense of what will elevate the piece was spot on!!
The more I watch your videos, the more I'm convinced you're the best DIYer on RUclips. How you don't have 1M subs yet is beyond me.
I'm trying! haha
Dani; your editor is AMAZING! such talent you've found.
I always like the colors you do your hair but I think this is truly the best one so far. It just makes your face look so fresh and lovely. Love the project to.
This is my natural hair colour haha
Dani!!!! I am still obsessed with your haircut. It’s stunning on you. I don’t think everyone can pull this cut off, but it’s amazing on you.
Not sure if anyone mentioned it but, i ❤ your hair!!
That little router bit made a huge difference. I absolutely agree with the hardware choice for the drawers. Those are so much easier to grab with your pinky, when you've got keys, or glasses, or your phone in your hand. They look better, too!

This house needs a makeover!!! The possibilities
Ahhhhh .... that buttery waxed finish is absolutely delicious!
I wish i lived in Canada so Dani can come to my house
I just have to say- the wavy curls are to do die for! You are rocking this new haircut.
You have stepped up your drawer game so much. I love the routing you did on the walnut front.
It's certainly improvement!
OK, a couple of things! (I’m sorry I don’t always comment, so catching up)

❤️❤️❤️
That wax seal gave such depth to the paint! And you're glowingly beautiful.
Danie this looks incredible! I know we are strangers tuning in to watch but you seem good and that is awesome.
The walnut added a beautiful touch!
I totally agree with your hardware choice. The key hole one is nice but on this console, the one you chose is much more sophisticated.
I love it !
Love the new hair. You are so stinkin’ cute.
Danie, you hit it out of the park once again!
You look so young and perky with your haircut! Love it along with your fabulous makeover!
Oh Em Gee!!! Danie! That is STUNNING! Best IKEA Hack EVER!!!!!
I miss seeing you do over other people's pieces or spaces. You're so talented at it!
Love it! Now she needs to paint the two chests across from this piece to match.
I love this series! Classic Danie!
I love this series too!
The second set of hardware matches the mirror and stairway better. Stunning piece. It's a keeper
Dani....you knocked it out of the ole ballpark yet again!!!! Absolutely gorgeous flip!! Ohhhh.....and I love your new hair do!!
I love watching this series and seeing your channel evolve. From working in your studio to tackling larger projects like this, the joy and dedication you put into pieces clearly shows. ☺️
Wax on paint really does something subtle but so wonderful.
What a diff the paint, knobs, legs and little facing pieces made. Even if somebbody didn't have your skill with tools, they could do that and make a huge difference in the appearance of the piece. Love how it turned out- lovely

Awe ❤️ this message means the world. Thank you Xo
That straight Bob look is sooo chic on you
It's gorgeous Danni!!! I love how it goes with the stairs and the existing hall furniture - it has brought everything together. And the colour is so rich...and the hardware...and the feet... Love it!!! ❤️💝👍👏😘
Excellent job of giving them exactly what they wanted. You really hit it out of the ballpark on this one
I do not like shaker doors, but never thought about a tiny trim added. Sweet! I have passed over functional furniture that I could have shifted.
Light bulb! I have two dressers in my store room, well built and functional. Duh.
Yours turned out perfect for her home!
I was shouting if they don't love I will. Danie stunning job.🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
Danny this is gorgeous, you've mixed modern with vintage effortlessly 😍 👌 spot on girl ❤❤❤

Morning Joyce! Happy Saturday to youuuuuuuu xx
I didn't think I would notice a difference with the black wax but I did! It was exactly what the piece needed and now I'm wanting to use it on my furniture! I maybe should finally paint my kitchen table black and use this wax on it. Gorgeous transformation.
Danie,
You were right with the second choice of the antique brass handles! As always, love your creations!
Great choice with the Rockwool insulation! 😁 The only Canadian factory is in my small town - it’s the best stuff!
Girl, you totally knocked it out of the park!!!
✌️&❤
Not only did you do an amazing flip, your hair looks so dang cute this whole episode! ❤
You have all the tools I dream of!
The table is so beautiful I love the wood tone with the black
You did it again! The furniture designs that you flip used pieces into are great. I flipped pieces when I started my vintage shop about 10 years ago. Still, I learn so much about how to do more. Because of you, I am no longer afraid to build drawers.
You're skill keeps growing every video. That piece was beautiful.
I love the blue-black, it really adds to the piece. I agree with your hardware choice, a keyhole without an actual lock was kind of bugging me. I think the clean lines are better too. Good work Danie, this one is really nice.
One of my favorite DIYs you’ve done so far!! Can’t believe this is the same piece 😮
That is one functional and beautiful piece
I also liked the second choice of the hardware. The others looked a little too busy. Lovely job.
It just elevates the from entrance. It looks so classy now.
Your haircut looks amazing! Absolutely love what you did. I would never had known this was a ikea peice in its former life. Drawer hardware, I like the second option but I would have liked a pair on each front.
Every decision you made in the transformation of this piece was spot on!! It's gorgeous!!
Very nice fixer upper. Her vision was perfectly interpreted by you. I still like the other pulls, lol!
Just wow! I’m particularly interested in your black wax and you were right, the hardware that you finally chose is better. I also like the contrast between the wood and the black color.
Really beautiful! And, so nice to see it refinished well (cleaning, sanding, priming, painting, sealing.)
love, love, love it! I was so glad to see your energy and smile back. Your talent and skill are amazing.
Love the new shorter hair cut. You are rocking it!
The makeover is FABULOUS 🖤💙🤎💛
I’m new and I would KEEP IT. So lovely and prefect for this space.
Wow...this piece is absolutely gorgeous
I’ve just started the video but had to stop to say how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE this house! …….now back to the video……
Ok I’m done the video now….and OMG Danie. You really did an outstanding job! Most people would just sell the piece and buy a new one, but what you did is better than anything she could have bought! Wow!
29:55 OMG Danie!!!! ❤❤❤ Absolutely beautiful! Now I want to buy this piece and do what you did ❤️😘🇨🇦
This is one of the most gorgeous homes ever!!
Love your new haircut!
Wonderful what you did for this piece of furniture.
You rock, Lady! ❤
Fabulous transformation! I love these Love it or Thrift it videos almost as much as the Can We make it for Cheaper? videos. ❤
I love those two series too!
Yay! New vid!!! LOVE IT!
You hair looks cute!
PS, Definitely the New hardware!
Love it! Also, Danie the new hairstyle is soooo you!
Amazing eye for design. Love watching you go through your design planning..
Little tip Bondo that's used to fill dents in cars works real good as a wood filler and dries very quickly, and can be sandable in 20 minutes .
As always- you have elevated an out of date piece. Perfection and chefs kiss ❤❤❤❤❤
Artistic perfection!😍😍😍😍
I got so much satisfaction watching how methodically you built those drawers. Amazing work!
Love your hair, look great. Great job on redesigning
Love the overlap on the construction. You made this a wonderful piece.
