You make a good case for not reusing the existing gearing.
Great video’s guys, is there a big price difference with yourselves who use Leaf batteries etc and other companies who maybe use Tesla batteries, have you for example converted a Triumph Spitfire/ Tr7 and w what would be a typical cost for doing something like that. Many thanks
Thanks Andrew! You’re right, using the Leaf along with batch ordering our vehicle specific system helps keep costs more sensible while keeping the quality as high as possible. The leaf motor has ample power and torque to do the job nicely without overloading the axles.
Right now we’re focused on Series Land Rovers and don’t have immediate plans to convert any Triumphs - we do think they’d make really cool EV’s though!

Hi can i ask what single speed box you attach to the leaf motor? is it one you source yourselves? is it available to purchase on its own?
The motor is attached directly to an LT230 transfer box (from Defender / Disco 1 & 2) with the 1.667:1 ratio
