It's called symphonic Metal. Europe has many such amazing symphonic metal bands such a nightwish, within temptation etc. They also have conventional type of metal.

Hey Julia! Love your videos :) I have a very random question for you...when you are hanging out (off camera, obviously) with your friends, boyfriend, etc., do you usually talk in English or in Swiss? I have always wondered...you and Simone obviously speak English perfectly, but I am curious which language you speak when you're just casually hanging out/living your life :) Thanks!

I just listened to Simone's music & she has a beautiful voice. But, I think your Metal music is different than in the USA. I really don't know what kind of music I would call it? It reminds me of music you would hear in an Adventure type movie with Hercules and she would be the damsel in distress. I have never heard of Epica. Maybe they don't play in the US.
ahm is gothic symphony metal, her voice it is opera style and they played in USA,, latinoamerica and europe, Asia, etc. I lover her band and she has a lovely blog.
ahm,, she is a metal singer, in stage she wear corsettes, leather and more dark makeup.. :D in that type of metal the girls are like her, less "dark" more romantic. She always said she is a metal singer, i that´s the correct name, in that type of music woman sing in opera. :D xo
actually that type of metal(and many others) are the popular ones in europe, asia and latin america, dont know why in USA is diferent...well I am thinking this based on that matel show from VH1 xD
I have to check out Simone because I feel looks most definately have got to be decieving!!!! I can't whatsoever picture her being a heavy metal singer. Maybe opera but I really think she looks like a balerina the most. LOL
